Near to the city centre, easy to find travelling by car. Whilst only a 2 star the hotel catered for all eventualities and could easily be higher rated. All the rooms were different and even the public areas had a somewhat quirky decor about them which was very pleasant. Breakfast service was efficient and the food was ordinary "cuisine" but unlimited supply of tea/coffee & toast.

Ideal location for city only 10 minute walk and very cosy. Meals good cooked breakfast great but if you like continental only 2 cereals on offer. Room had no bath and shower made a loud noise when used.Due to room being on top floor, ceiling low due to rafters.Rooms on the lower floors are larger.

A small idilic hotel that promised nothing more than a 2 star hotel, but delivered far more. Comfy, cosy, friendly, warm and the staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. We will be going again. thank you Richard.

Very friendly, welcomed right from the start and excellent value. Small niggles only, shower water only lukewarm and as expecten in an older house - creaky floorboards in the early hours from the room above.

Cleanliness and warmth of room (our stay was Dec. 2nd and a very cold night) The friendliness, politeness and efficiency of all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel very welcome. Bathroom was clean, big and had both a bath and a shower. Breakfast was excellent. Location was only a 5 minute taxi ride from city centre, yet the hotel was in a quiet side road, therefore no traffic noise. Excellent value for money, would certainly stay here again.

All the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was very good, and the quality of the food was excellent, the breakfast set you up for the day ahead. I would definitely recommed the hotel to Friends and Family. Parking was difficult at times, not all times, but occasionally.

The hotel was conveniently situated and the staff friendly. Ideal for a city break weekend. Parking was a little restricted and the room though clean was starting to look a little tired.

The Hotel staff were fantastic. Very friendly and incredibly concerned that we liked Chester, and gave us great suggestions on things to see and do. Thanks for having us. We would stay again for sure. Room was basic but had modern amenities inc lcd tv. In saying that we paid for a small room just to sleep in so were not looking for much more but know they had it if we wanted it. The only bad thing I would say is that the walls were thin and he could hear the room next door and above walking around.
