Fabulous,
Score from 405 reviews
“ I liked everything about the hotel. We were given a larger room because the manager noticed the amount of luggage we had in tow and helped us transport it to our room. All of the staff were extremely friendly and one even offered to walk us downtown. ”

Staff very friendly and helpful. Pleasant evening meal. Very poor standard of cleaning in our room. Very off putting on arrival. Only stayed one night otherwise would have requested thorough clean.

Helpfully staff and good breakfast. Room comfortable and clean, nice bathroom. 10 minutes walk to centre of Chester. Public rooms a bit overstuffed and fussy for our taste but Hotel fine for a visit to Chester.

As a single female traveller I immediately felt at ease. Staff couldn't be friendlier and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Friendly welcome. Interestingly designed room with four poster bed and and fancy bath.Pleasant dining room. The Indian curry, though tasty was not 'authentic' as described on the menu. I would however recommend the hotel for convenience and comfort.

It was close to the city centre. More suited for retired people. Too expensive, decor was dated, no entertainment near by. Bed in double room was too small.

Friendly staff when encountered making us feel relaxed, helpful when questioned. 10 minute walk to centre of Chester is ideal. Room was cosy and quiet at back of hotel (no. 21) Decor has aged and in need of refresh and not to our taste but that's an individual view. Lack of extractor fan in ensuite but none of this would stop a return visit.

Friendliness of the staff, we had evening meal in and was excellent. When we got there at first thought it was a long way out but when we walked to the town it wasn't that far. Would stay again. Nothing although the room was quite small but comfortable, and perhaps a refurbish.

Quality of the furnishings in the room. Decor generally. Breakfast food including attention to detail of gluten free breakfast requested. Plenty of free carparking within walking distance of centre of Chester. Helpful staff. Shower was rather weak, needed greater power. Had to remake bed as so much sheet was tucked into the bottom, it didn't reach the top!
