Staff warm and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble for them.Food was excellent. Rooms were spacious and clean. Great central location for day trips to other parts of Scotland.
lift very slow
Staff was friendly and did their best to overcome the shortcomings of the place. Our room was large and the breakfast was adequate but not special.
From the outside the castle looks very lovely, but that is as far as it goes. The decor and furnishings throughout are tired and worn. The floors were extremely squeaky, even for an old building. Our bed was saggy and the sofa in our room literally looked like it should be in the donation bin. There was also mold in the shower grout and the window in our room was propped open with a block of wood because the pulley was broken. We were really disappointed with the whole experience.
While this castle is a rebuild that doesn't really reflect old world charm, it's clean and practical, within a classic castle build. The staff is wonderful. Friendly and accommodating. The biggest surprise was the fantastic food they serve. Their chef knocks it out of the park. Perfectly balanced flavors with a unique twist that makes it well worth staying there, just for that. Great location and view of Stirling.
Outdoor areas could use some sprucing up.
Beautiful setting and building, staff were very pleasant and accomodating, facilities are excellent.
Not much to do in the area as its located 15mins drive from sterling. The building is old so your neighbours are easy to hear.
The room was really nice! We even had a small lookout in the roof of a little tower! And if you sleep over, go and have dinner in the restaurant!! We have been twice there now and the food is excellent! The staff is really friendly and helpful. You feel right at home in this lovely castle!
No bad words for this place a all!
The staff The food The authentic old world charm The location All were excellent, Highly recommended hotel
Fabulous room. Excellent food. Owners personal service. Forest setting enabling walks but close enough to town . Modern comfort in a beautiful old building
Creaking floors meant you could hear people in rooms above
We found Broomhall Castle while searching the internet for overnight accommodation for a night in Stirling, and booked it because it looked, and sounded like, a bargain, and what a bargain it was. To say we were surprised and delighted would be an understatement. The room, and the bed were huge, and so comfortable, the best night's sleep I've had in ages. The staff were so friendly and helpful, food gorgeous. Definitely recommended.
Staff were all very friendly. Grand old building
Pot holes in the drive! Cold water was warm no matter how long you ran it for. Only mirror was above sink in bathroom where do you dry your hair?
Huge room much appreciated after a long day traveling to not be cramped up
Bedroom was very spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished with sofa and TV, bed very comfortable. Ensuite had lovely deep bath and seperate shower. Bar and lounge area nice for an evening drink.
Hotel is located within an area of housing without many facilities we would therefore recommend booking the hotel restaurant if arriving late after a long journey or be prepared to go on into Stirling to eat. The food is of good quality but the dining room lacks any atmosphere or ambience.
Good location. Beautiful setting. Great food. I ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a delicious lamb shank. The breakfast was awesome!!! The staff were very friendly. Very clean. Room was large and spacious. Enjoyed having a soak in the roll top bath!
Although a beautiful setting the interior felt bare. You can hear people walking around due to very squeeky floorboards. No reception desk as such so was difficult knowing where to go when I arrived. Silly large teddy bear key rings on your room key.
Friendly staff Helpful staff Lovely aspect A wartime mystery to ponder over Great food Good value Just a really honest to goodness hotel
Perfect for me
Staying 2 nights in a castle. Plenty of parking. Good breakfasts and dinners. Friendly and helpful staff. Good sized rooms and ensuited. Would stay again.
No wifi in bedrooms due to stone walls of castle. Good wifi downstairs. TV bad reception and remote didn't work.
The staff was kind & helpful. The room was lovely and comfortable. We didn't want to leave. Stay more than one night if you are able.
Very friendly lovely hotel and great location to tour around the area All staff very helpful
size of bedroom cleanliness of room
runners on tables, would have been a better touch, in my opinion
I loved the location and it was a castle. Beautiful setting. The room was comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful. The food was very good.
Everything was wonderful, the food was exceptional and the room was perfect giving a real castle like feel. The staff were amazing and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived with special thanks going to David, Charlene and Grant the talented chef. We would highly recommend this hotel for a short break or holiday. The location is within easy travel distance from the centre of Stirling but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
There was nothing to dislike, we loved our stay here.
Rooms were good size and King bed very comfortable. Large bathroom with bath and shower. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Lovely dinner and breakfast in restaurant.
lovely crisp sheets, bedding, huge beds
Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Liked the exterior of the hotel.
Great setting, lovely views, tranquil surroundings, breakfast was great
Needed something, possibly background music in restaurant to give dining experience more ambience, also would liked to have had a bath, we only had a large shower room and only a tiny wall mirror.
Everything was good.
