Great, relaxed service and atmosphere. Attentive without hovering - perfect. :)
While the restaurant food was good, the portion sizes were insanely large. Perhaps a half size option should be offered for some meals to avoid waste and guarantee room for dessert...?
the staff are really freindly and the hotel is good value for money. the castle itself is lovely
The hotel staff were great Breakfast was freshly made and delicious , a value for money break.
Hotel needs a facelift and a few cosmetics required. ( great value for money though )
Just to stay in a castle was an experience alone and for the price was brillant huge room clean staff were superb would highly recommend, food was also great
we should have stayed longer our fault
The hotel's situation is convenient for Stirling and the M9 motorway. It was initially constructed in the style of a baronial castle and therefore has some character with large high-ceilinged rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful and the meals were excellent.
Loved the Castle and its quirks, the team where outstanding, Thank you from Tanya and Ruby
Would have liked to see a bar and snack menu Avaliable, then we would have eaten there more often.
Broomhall castle has fairly basic rooms. The setting is nice, and the cooked breakfast was good although the continental breakfast was pretty poor.
The staff were pretty unhelpful in that we had to search for someone when we arrived, and the only person we could find was in the kitchen.and they were pretty rude. We arrived around 8.45 which was a little later than we had planned, however we hadnt specified a check in time and we were within the specified check in time of before 10pm therefore we expected to be attended to rather than left standing for a while. The continental breakfast was pretty poor - it described itself as having a selection of fresh fruit, which in reality was a couple of apples and an orange in a bowl.....nothing like the selection usually found in a standard hotel contenental breakfast. There was no Wi-fi, which while nice to be cut off from the internet for a romantic break is lovely, it would be great to have the option to look up local attractions and walks when the hotel had very limited information about these.
Staff were excellent, very friendly and eager to help in any way possible. The hotel is lovely with beautiful spacious rooms and lounges.would definitely recommend a visit
The decor was a bit tired in places and could do with being freshened up.
It was a castle! Beautiful room, lived up to expectations. Staff were lovely.
Few small things weren't cleaned, no big issue though.
For the price we paid Broomhall castle did not disappoint. Very clean and loved the decoration making it look authentic. Would definitely book again
Everything from the bedroom to the bar and all the staff
You'll struggle to find anything to dislike
Warm welcome from the staff and lots of small touches -- such as the weird and wonderful cocktails and the offer of whisky in the morning porridge!
Great food. Attentive and thoughtful staff.
Staff- excellent bartender! Room- four poster bed was very comfy Location Value for Money Breakfast Views Ambiance
Only stayed there one night.
Room Bed Bathroom
Wi Fi problems No Room Service No Snacks in Bar Entrance poorly lit up at bottom of hill Cooked Breakfast refused because 10 mins late
Good food, nice room, friendly staff
Couldn't access WiFi in room but was available in general areas
This is the 3rd time we've stayed here, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the Scottish breakfast is a great start to the day
The room we had had a velux window and not hotels fault it was torrential rain through the night which bouncing off the window kept us awake for a bit
Great location, great character, staff very helpful
Only negative was the severe amount of black mould around the shower tray, not what you would expect in a hotel
cosy feel food staff comfy bed beautiful surroundings
Imposing place with big rooms...mostly empty and lacking decorations.
Lift worked at snails pace...lounge rooms big and empty apart from furniture. ..bedrooms same.
Everything was awesome It turned a business trip into a holiday Would always book there if in Scotland
The friendly and extremely helpful welcome at the entrance. Wooded area on the high hill, cozy bar sitting areas, toffee chocolate desert. Ghostly creaky door on the bridal suite.
Some rooms could use a more authentic rustic "castle" looking update. Four poster beds for more guest rooms would be a great addition.
VERY PEACEFUL LOCATION.THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL WITH LOCAL KNOWLEDGE. EXCELLENT BREAKFAST.
The building, the big rooms, great breakfast.
The leak in the bathroom.
