Good all round.. can't fault it.
very friendly and helpful staff.
Good steak in restaurant.
A private function going on with bouncy castle (adults on it) and very loud music just below our window. Early sleep impossible but it did stop at quarter to midnight after I went down to enquire how much longer it was going to carry on.They might warn people of potential noise windows not at all sound proof.
The way the booking was handled in a good manner. Also meals quite reasonably priced and a good place to meet with others. Place being refurbished, so should be good when finished.
Trying to phone the hotel prior for their location and as they didnt answer their phone and we didnt have internet access it wasnt a good feeling. The place needs to be better signposted from the roadway as it is also known as Hungry Horse.
Good size bedroom plus restaurant attached.
Rooms tired although due to be refurbished. Staff need a lesson in customer service - far too busy talking to be bothered with customers.
Room was dirty. Windows were dirty. Curtains hanging off rail. Heater didn't work properly. Reception wasn't staffed.
The fact that it had a bar and restaurant.
Sunday dinner was finished by 4pm. How on earth can you run out of Sunday dinners by this time? Joke! The bathroom in my room smelt disgusting!
Paint coming off the walls. Spiders squashed in the corners of the room webs everywhere, hairs in bath, would not stay again
the staff were extremely friendly and helpful cant fault the friendliness of everyone there
The bedroom was clean and very comfortable. Food was good and service excellent. All staff were warm and welcoming. Mark, the manager, was really helpful in giving me directions and reducing my stress! Lovely man.
Bathroom could have been a little fresher.
Breakfast Bar food Comfortable bed Parking and location to city Everything reasonably priced
Future planning of refurbishment restricted my future bookings here but look forward to the new look if the prices are competitive
The staff were very friendly throughout and the food was very reasonably priced and was well presented and in my opinion good value for money. Once the pub closed, the location was very quiet and I got a decent sleep. The room was comfy, if not plush was at least comfortable.
Throughout our stay there was a fault with the cold water tap on the bathroom sink which it was impossible to turn off. Although the bedding was clean it did not take much effort to find area's of the room which it was obvious had not been correctly cleaned in a considerable length of time (back of flat screen TV) and the curtain track was also damaged so the curtains did not hang properly.
Had to request a room change as ours smelled and was damp. Staff member was being chastised by another staff member in front of the guests. Our dinner was poor. My Wife's steak was tastless and my fish baked looked as though it had been made weeks ago and then microwaved. Fish don't come in rectangles. The guttering needs leaning as water was pouring over the top during overnight rain. This noise woke us up. Room 32. There are cracks in the bath and leaking taps. No plug for the basin. All in all a very tired building which needs upgrading.

rooms needs a facelift
Excellent bar and very good food. Nice bar and very good location with lots of parking space. Good power shower
The room smell of dampness no room service and wifi very slow, toilet need to be renovated as there were some marks on the tiles, wardrobe keeps making squawking nice each time is opened.
Not having the breakfast procedure clearly explained.by that I mean what is included in each breakfast option. Prices were not clearly stated,so made it difficult to know what you were actually going to be charged .
The manager was excellent - both in the hotel and the pub.
Bathroom a bit mouldy.
Cheap Booking, Restaurant Staff location clean enough
No one at the reception, slight lack of maintenance
Good staff but overworked.
Shower fell to bits. Dripping taps. Thank goodness the disco finished at a reasonable time! Noisy when trying to sleep!
Comfort Friendly staff Ease of access to motorway Facilities Ease of Parking
Great hotel with easy access to the M1, ideal for what I wanted
The only downfall was the roofer, who started early in the morning. but this is not going to happen very often.
Good location clean quiet at night fabulous night sleep the best I have ever had in a hotel, having the resturant next door was great good food good service and very reasonable, clean comfy rooms with super comfy beds.
At breakfast if the staff could keep the supply of clean cups and plates available that would help a great deal , they were happy to fetch more clean items but it would save guests having to ask and wait that's only a little niggle but overall a great hotel
Atmosphere and food
Room a bit tatty !
Location was perfect for HD brow course
I think all lone females should be on 1st floor not ground
Fairly good location with the added bonus of being attached to the Hungry Horse.
Staff on reception and the fact that we seemed to be roomed next door to staff who made lots and lots of noise throughout the night!!!
