Bc is a wonderful hotel Staff, rooms, food, location are all terriffic. The hotel is well kept and I was even offered to have my dinner prepared early as I was quite tired. I would recommend the hotel to all travelling through this area. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Relaxed friendly atmosphere Staff couldn't be more helpful, Hotel is being refurbished slowly, beautiful location, not 5 star but very good value for money, restaraunt food ok - the mega mixed grill would feed a family of 5! Breakfasts very good. Too much food!

The Broughton Craggs Hotel looks very nice and has some very nice grounds. I did not take advantage of this as was only sleeping there after a busy day at work. My room was of a good size and had a very comfortable bed. Freeview was included which was great and the shower facilities where easy to use and comfortable. It was a little on the quiet side at the hotel and so to is the surrounding area but that suited me just fine. I would of loved a bigger tv and a room with a bit of a better view as I had the room which looked out on the roof of the restaurant area. A fridge in the room would of been nice also but apart from that everything was just fine.

The grounds of the hotel are very impressive and I loved the peacocks roaming around. The staff were very prompt and courteous. The evening meal was excellent it was one of the best steaks I have had. Not a complaint but the bathroom could do with an update and the eating area is a little dark.

Lovely room and view. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room and the food was very reasonable - under £13 for a 3 course meal, the food was prepared fresh and very nice.

This was our third visit to Broughton Craggs and, as ever, we were made very welcome. Staff helped to carry our luggage and were continually asking if we were ok. We had a quiet, relaxing few days where we were able to come and go as we pleased. As before, food was excellent with plenty of choice.

We had a tremendously pleasant stay at the Broughton Craggs Hotel. As soon as we arrived, we were met at the door by a member of staff and offered alternative parking for our motorbikes which was closer to the hotel and more sheltered. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with plenty space for our luggage, helmets etc. The lounge area is lovely with big inviting leather couches and an open fire. We had an evening meal which was freshly cooked, well priced and delicious. We had some great banter with the staff and local customers who gave us great advice about where to visit in the area the next day. We were looking for some nice winding roads through the hills and were given exaclty that. Breakfast was also very good, served at a time that suited us and a full choice available. We will stay at the Broughton Craggs again. We werent aware of the £10 supplement when using a family room with 3 adults but it was still good value for money.

Nice location and lovely house inside and out. The food, particularly dinner, was very poor quality, badly cooked and tasteless. Why would you have an unpriced menu?.Bedroom was spacious but bathroom not particularly clean - please check the cupboard below the silly little bathroom sink.Like a lot of hotels they don't know how to make beds.Proprietors need to concentrate on improving what could be a really nice hotel.

Pleasent double aspect room at front of hotel, peaceful location. Dining experience offered a very limited menu, basically a carvery. Pillow shams weren't clean, but changed when pointed out. The shower is a mixer tap in a bath, and the water temperature was difficult to control..
