Exceptional value. Immaculately clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast and courteous, friendly hosts. Best free internet access. For Barrow-in-Furness and the Dock Museum, and for the Lake District this is an excellent place to stay My single room was cosy, clean and comfortable, but a desk light would have been helpful

The bed was comfortable and a nice modern clean ensuite. There was also free internet and freeview flatscreen tv. The breakfast was very nice, you can chose what you want from a list and they serve it at the time you want it.

Free internet was a big bonus for me during this stay. The room came with all the amenities and little extras that make a stay more comfortable from internet, to a work desk, to tissues and coffee/tea facilities.

Booked for 2 rooms when arrived only 1 room available with double bed. Staff accomodated us by putting a fold up bed in the room. Staff not professional.

This is a warm welcoming hotel with very lovely people taking car of you without being intrusive. The breakfast was on par with a five star hotel/restaurant of which I work in. Very comforting and reassuring as we were attending a funeral. This isnt a complaint just a preference of ensuite facilities

We completely enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and provided a professional and low-key stance - not being overbearing. - just as we like it. The food was very good and generous. We will look to stay at the hotel again.

The hotel unfortunately would benefit from a major refurbishment.Having no en suite bathroom is really no longer acceptable these days.

They deducted the price of breakfast I did not have. Paid for two nights but left after one. I did not tell them I was leaving because I didn't like it as I didn't want to offend. Too many signs, instructions etc. (Including details of punishments if you break them- smoking in particular. I am not a smoker but it made me feel chastised and unwelcome). Room much smaller and shabbier than appears in pics and description. Utilitarian rather than pleasant.
