Brow Head Hotel  

I find it difficult to say anything nice about this hotel.

Where to start! When we checked in, the lady at the counter took a while to answer the bell, then talked to us for a few minutes, then disappeared again for about 10 minutes. She came out later, to tell us that she was watching the end of 'deal or no deal'. Got to love the customer service! All of the other hotels in the area advertised shared bathrooms and we had avoided these. When we arrived at this motel, the bathroom was also shared between 4 rooms - beware of this! Upon check out we were told that the room had been paid, however, we didn't get a receipt. When I asked for one, we were told it wasn't possible, and that they'd send one out that day. 3 weeks later and we are still waiting.

I liked the location and the breakfast

The hotel was close to the zoo

The toilet was very loud

More or less clean.

Nothing was mentioned while booking that a common toilet facility is to be used which was a big discomfort.

The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful

WiFi signal not great and no bath so difficult with a baby

This is a warm welcoming hotel with very lovely people taking car of you without being intrusive. The breakfast was on par with a five star hotel/restaurant of which I work in. Very comforting and reassuring as we were attending a funeral.

This isnt a complaint just a preference of ensuite facilities

Would have appreciated a second chair in room as when relaxing in room after a busy day one of us had to sit on the bed not very comfortable

It was o/k for the duration of the short stay..Breakfast was excellent.

None of the room doors locked from the inside. The Tv did not function.

The Staff were very nice and helpful.

The beds were slightly uncomfortable.

It was nice and quite Place had no problems during our stay. Breakfast was good as well.

The bed was comfortable and a nice modern clean ensuite. There was also free internet and freeview flatscreen tv. The breakfast was very nice, you can chose what you want from a list and they serve it at the time you want it.

Cela fait 2 ans de suite que je prends une chambre dans cet hotel.Je suis tout à fait conquise par l'accueil, la discrétion et le professionnalisme des propriétaires. Le cadre est simple et confortable, les petits déjeuners copieux et bons. La chambre est parfaitement entretenue et sent bon quand je rentre le soir pour m'y reposer. J'y retournerai volontiers l'an prochain.

Exceptional value. Immaculately clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast and courteous, friendly hosts. Best free internet access. For Barrow-in-Furness and the Dock Museum, and for the Lake District this is an excellent place to stay

My single room was cosy, clean and comfortable, but a desk light would have been helpful
