Brownes Hotel

The staff where very helpful. Bar meals where very good and very good value for money and very well presented. Rooms very clean. Very enjoyable stay.

Position

No breakfast even though we were told price included breakfast. To be fair we were refunded £5 each but were told that we could use the other Brownes hotel a 10 min walk away had we used it it was right up the other end of the prom about 30 min walk we used Weatherspoons instead didnt spoil weekend just a bit annoying.

Attention to detail, very beautiful decoration & immaculate cleanliness.

Asked on arrival if we had booked for breakfast, even though my booking was for b & b, then told if we did want breakfast we would have to go to another hotel. When we got to the room, there were refreshments but no kettle. The double I had paid for was tiny & the bed was a very tiny double with no ensuite. The hotel advertises each room as having a shower but does'nt mention that both the toilet & the shower are completely seperate & are shared with numerous others. I would never have booked this hotel if I had known that, as sneaking around in the middle of the night, trying to find my clothes is really not my thing! Which brings me to the next complaint that the website promises bathrobes to use whilst staying. These were nowhere to be seen. Not the end of the world but why advertise these extras? The next morning we left the hotel without seeing a member of staff, presumably they were sorting breakfast at the other hotel!! Very odd experience in such a beautiful hotel.

Would just like to say a big thank you to brownes assistant manager Ben Edwards, and staff. We did have a few problems with the accomodation booked through booking.com, but was very professionaly and quickly dealt with by Ben who made our stay a pleasure. Would not hesitate to stay at brownes again on our next visit to blackpool. 10/10

Not a like unfortunately.

There was no breakfast as a fuse had gone in the cooker the day before we arrived. There was a bar with no drinks, no lounge, no en-suite, no bathrobes and we stayed in the tiniest cupboard which was probably at best a single room with the smallest double bed. The shared toilet had a sign 'cauton - floor slippery when wet' YUK Apparently the owner has bought an hotel nearby and has transferred all his interest to there. Brownes Hotel is just a bed to lay your head and nothing more.

on arrival we were asked if we wanted to move to to the brownes international as we would be the only people staying there over the three days so we agreed seams logical however we found when we returned on the nite the 2 senoir staff to be drunk and verbally abusive slating the type of guests staying at the hotel i.e married couples not gay as i have nothing against gays these two made my mind up not to reccommend brownes international hotel and the 4 of us certainly will not not be staying there ever again

Was so easy to book online . Site well laid out . Triple room enabled my children and i to stay together at a very good price . Didnt realise it was 4 star untill we arrived as it was such good value . The entrance led us to splendor after splendor and the greeting from the hosts aswell as the breath taking decor made us feel we had arrived somewhere special . Bedroom was perfect for us , sky tv , plenty of tea , coffee , even biscuits and bottled water . perfect ensuit with soaps and plenty of towels . Dinning room was luxuriously laid out as was the superb breakfast . These guys dont cheap out on anything and we felt so well looked after . Thankyou Brownes Hotel , perfect 10/10 .

The only thing i didnt like about staying at Brownes Hotel was having to leave . I just cant fault it in any way .

we were booked into Brownes Hotel on Vance road, and were given the option to try their new hotel ' HOMECLIFFE' on Wilton Parade. on arrival we were told we were upgaded to a Premium suite. this room was spottlessly clean, comfortable, warm, and everything was in good condition. our ensuite had a jacuzzi bath, which was very relaxing. every day we were provided with new toiletries, clean towels, tea , coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits. dressing gowns were provided too. breakfast every morning was delicious, and the staff could not have been friendlier. a very enjoyable stay, and would return in future.

I would definalty reccomebd this hotel. The staff are excellent and the rooms are lovley. Definatly going here again!! :-)

Very dissapointed

We arrived to find the rooms we had booked over 6 weeks previous were not available and had to hang around over an hour to wait till they could find other accommodation for us which was very disapointing as it was bank hol weekend. And it really ruined it for us

Liked the look of it on the internet and all the reviews gave it a good rating. Thats why we chose it.

Constant badgering to swap hotels to their new one the 'Homecliffe' even unto day before holiday. Informed all up and running all clean,higher graded hotel.turned up front section of hotel full up with furniture and builders tools etc. workmen working all over hotel. Werent expecting us.had to wait 45mins for room,when shown it was shambles and told workmen would be there from 8til5 everyday. After being told befoehand we could swap booking back to Brownes if didnt like it,were told our room had been let out!! They then gave us our money back and sent us to Eastgate hotel where you had to share all facilities with the owners even eat your meals with them.so stuck 250miles from hom with nowhere to stay.

The manager! He couldn't do enough for us, wasn't there when we checked in so came to say hello. The breakfast he made us was fabulous, the rooms were beautifully designed. It's very close to the centre of town but far enough not to hear all the nightlife noise. Would defiantly stay here again :)

Didn't realise we had to pay for the room when we got there and my boyfriend had to pay even though it was my treat to him. Rooms are a little small but easy enough for the 1 night, didn't like how the toilet wasn't in the room other than this amazing!

Didn't like it at all as they didn't even have confimation we were staying there and were fully booked so we had to move finished up out of town room I didn't want and also lost a large time of only a 2 dday break

Owner and staff are very helpful, breakfast was huge with no rush on the timings to eat. The hotel was very clean with rooms cleaned daily. The owner Robert gives out 2 for 1 tickets to any attractions you may want to visit. Lovely stay and would book again. Many thanks Paul n Nicola xx PS Jeff is mental (in a nice way ha)

Great staff, great facilities, true English Breakfast. Egg, beans, bacon, steak, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, potatoes, fried bread, juice, coffee. Oh, and black pudding.

Brownes Hotel is definitely the best hotel I've visited in Blackpool, it was beautiful from top to bottom, it was an ideal location and although through no fault of the manager Robert we had to change hotels due to electrical problems we would definitely book this hotel on our next trip to Blackpool. Robert couldn't have been more helpful & apologetic. We were really disappointed that we couldn't complete our stay but look forward to our next trip there as the rooms, the staff and the surroundings were exceptional.

When we arrived Robert answered the door, and even though we were early he want out of his way to help us, nothing was too much trouble. Helped us to find parking, showed us to our room, which was exactly like the photo'S. Pointed us in the right direction for things to do and also to help us with the best deals available at the time for attractions. The breakfast next morning was out of this world, and it was a case of eyes bigger that your stomach, the full English was exceptional. Great place to stay.

Nothing was too much trouble, very helpful and very friendly. The rooms were amazing and very clean. The breakfast was fantastic, plenty of it. I would definately go again to this hotel, and recommend it. It is also convenient for shopping as it is close to the centre, and also for bars and clubs etc.

Brownes hotel is the best hotel ive been in at blackpool and ive been in quite a lot and never returnd to them but brownes hotel I would definately go back robert the owner was realy helpful to us nothing was a problem to him the whole hotel was warm and inviting with lovely decor we where only 5 mins walk to the tower and shops as for the breakfast what a belly buster did not need to eat again till 7 in the evening it was top notch and plentiful cant wait to return loved it thanks to robert and his staff geoffrey and steven I would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone

Fantastic hosts could not fault the hotel at all, only 1 thing no en suite but dont let that put you off, the best bed ive slept in warm and comfy great location breakfast the best ive had in any hotel ive stayed in. Cant wait to go again. Robert 1 of the hosts is a star could,nt do enough for us fantastic.

No en suite shared bathroom and toilet but not a problem.

We stayed mid week nothing was too much trouble and we where treated like friends by the owner rob and his work partner jeff they even ironed my husbands jeans for him ! the rooms where lovely a big hearty breakfast was supplied and everything was clean we had a lovely stay and told every one when we came back what a warm welcome we had recieved and would recommend it to anyone who wanted that personal touch to their stay

It may not bother many people but the rooms had no toilet they did however have a gorgeous hidden shower and sink in the room but the toilet was on the same level as our room down the hall.

The relaxed atmosphere and the welcome that we were given. Really enjoyed staying here and will return.

Personnel agréable et qui s adapte.

No plug for a bath,no heating absolutely freezing, no breakfast served because of cooker fault supposedly and no bar for a drink at night!!
