Helpful and friendly staff, quirky, luxurious room with skylights for stargazing (didn't bother to close remote blinds provided) and great hospitality tray, tasty food, free Wi-Fi and parking and finally the 'buzz' from it being a favourite place of Dylan Thomas.

Roll top bath was beautiful but we found it a bit difficult to get in and out.

Location, ambiance, food, parking all good. Very close to Dylan Thomas's Boathouse. Good base for touring Pembroke Coast.

Leak in bathroom! Lack of good restaurants in village.

Comfort and historical connections with Dylan Thomas

Limited menu choice, however, sister hotel over the road has a good variety. Not much parking available, especially for a big 4x4.

The Junior suite that we booked was great, together with all the facilities available. A great experience.

It is a shame that not more thought had been put into the breakfast as there was very little choice of fruit juices/cereals and yogurts

The ambiance and situation especially coincided with our interest in the poet Dylan Thomas, but Laugharne & the estuary are charming.

A little bit expensive for a room.

Bar man on Saturday was very helpful

Explicit request for gluten and lactose free breakfast for one not responded to. Hotel indicated that information had not been received from Booking.Com. This has never happened before in all our years of booking. Furthermore Sunday morning staff appeared totally ignorant of the serious implications for a coeliac customer should they consume food contaminated by gluten. Having asked for a gluten free breakfast it arrived with toast, sausage and black pudding on the plate. Lovely hotel in lovely location but failure to address food issues is a very black mark.

The room was very well decorated and furnished. Staff were very pleasant and well trained.

Breakfast could do with some fresh fruit to liven it up.

    Stunning modern rooms. Excellent breakfasts.

Lack of decent catering for the evening - very limited menu. Laugharne itself is very much in need of renovation

Lovely hotel, very comfortable, Laugharne is unspoilt and attractive.

We arrived after travelling 400 miles, to find that there was no record of our confirmed (in writing) booking! We were immediately given another room, which was cheaper than the one we'd booked. As it turned out, we were happy with the room. Another couple staying at the same time had the same experience.

Being able to stay in a place that Dylan Thomas frequented and loved. The hotel's convenient location to Thomas sites. Friendliness of staff and other people

Our room at the top was a little crowded and the unevenness of the floors bothered me a little. But that was also part of the charm of the place.

    Quirkiness

Room had no windows - skylight high up. Bathroom needed fresh decoration due to damp problems - peeling paint and stains behind toilet. Also nowhere to hang anything in bathroom, resulting in clothes on floor!

The room was beautifully refurbished sympathetically with the building and it's history. Staff were all pleasant, friendly and helpful.bathroom was large, well furnished and very clean.breakfast was good.

No shower in bathroom. Noise outside on road was often loud and could keep you awake at night.

    we loved everything else!

information booklet in the room was not updated and when we went on the birthday walk we found that the offer at the Mariners was not available and had not been so for a long time. The offer of a free pint at a local pub was also not available as the pub was undergoing refurbishment. It would be a good idea to provide more milk in the room for making tea.

Good location and ambience. Reasonably priced.

Noisy at night when people are leaving the mariners' next door.
