    Secluded location and pretty grounds.

Breakfast was very poor. Executive room in the Stables didn't have mini bar or cable TV. Bathroom small with stand in bath shower.

The building and grounds are beautiful Good location for visiting Rugby

The decor is worn and needs updating, The staff cannot cope when theres a wedding on, No consideration for non wedding guests. Rooms need TLC, our windows were propped open with used shampoo bottles.

This hotel was our second choice but we would certainly make it our first choice next time. The hotel itself is a wonderful building, steeped in history and the setting is so beautiful. I can understand why there was a wedding party there and we were lucky enough to see their fantastic firework display! Our room was in the Coach House and very comfortable for our overnight stay whilst visiting family nearby.

Be prepared for noise from adjoining rooms as this is an old building and floorboards creak!

Loved the room we had at the front of the hotel, would request the same room again. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a great size and everywhere was very clean. The grounds were also immaculate and extensive surrounding the hotel.

No extractor fan in the bathroom and the window did not open but it was still a lovely space.

    The Breakfast was ok

Stable location poor.If located on the ground rooms you cant have the windows open.Upstairs rooms access is a very narrow staircase. shutters on windows means you cant leave open if you dont want the morning sun to wake you up. no a/c the main building is tired and needs refreshing

The informality of the occasion. The food was excellent, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff, a big thankyou to them

Although our room was excellent in the stable block, there was too much noise from the room above, perhaps more insulation would be advisable for future guests benefit

    Location excellent..

Brownsover hotel failed to process our reservation despite Booking.com confirming. When we arrived all rooms were booked and hotel staff could only offer to organise a transfer to another hotel, their chosen alternative recommended as 'nice'. Our stay began having o walk through a police-assisted,drunken, bloody fight in reception followed by a bed which was wet having been urinated on previously, filthy dirty bathroom uncleaned and very very sparce furnished room. Breakfast was awful with only egg, sausage and bacon on offer. Horel was filthy dirty. Would not trust Brownsover again to administer a booking.

Lovely hotel. Ate in the restaurant and the food was very good.

Was given wifi codes but did not get wifi in the room. Not really a problem as we had not gone away to go on the internet!

Loved the view and the location was great. Was so quiet and beautiful.

Not enough toiletries to have a bath or shower. Next time would bring my own. Not a problem though just fussy.

The Building is amazing Impressive façade!!!!!

It is out of town Staff are dreadful, with no sense of urgency Stable rooms are all different sizes, some larger than others, we had a tiny one, our friends was a great size (room 41 is tiny) Stable rooms are away from the main building you get very wet going from one room to another, or to the main building, or to your car (obviously if its raining) Breakfast staff appalling, left dirty plates on our table for 45minutes, despite delivering more toast, so they saw it, even left it another 20 minutes once we had asked for them to be cleared away. Hot breakfast is in a different room to where you actually eat - small dishes that ran low on food, there was never a complete breakfast ready to eat.. Staff really don't care!

Location is nice. Lots of history to the building.

Stayed in the Stables Executive suite, didn't think it was very executive or special, furniture was worn and marked.

I loved the size of my room and that it looked out over the garden. I loved the building and the decor. It all felt luxurious and gorgeous. The staff were lovely and although I was on my own and for me the hotel was 'posh' their was no snobbery and I felt really comfortable. It was a conscious indulgence for me and absolutely worth it. I had a really lovely time. Thank you :)

Beautiful location, beautiful house and grounds

Insufficient staff, poorly trained, overpriced food on cold plates, white wine served warm, poorly appointed room, inadequate shower, grounds -while lovely- need some attention. Really, take the price tags off the planters please! Complacency has set in and the whole place needs a shake up or a new manager. For the price, it was definitely not good value. Disappointing.

    The character of the property.

The really hard bed. Having a go at charging us for someone else's meal on check out. The shower not working properly. The TV not working properly.

Emma the waitress. Breakfast on Monday morning. The room (42). The old building and grounds.

Wifi in the our block (the stables) not working, complained 3 times and no apology or remedy. Dirty drinks glasses left by the main entrance for three days running from wedding reception on day one. English Breakfast was buffet style Saturday and Sunday (charged at same full price as menu breakfast Monday), food was under cooked and luke warm on both Saturday & Sunday. The Dinner option was no better than warmed up microwave food prepped before the weekend (apart from the lamb which was rather nice). Felt let down - def. not worth the money if eating in. Bar was very over priced!

Beautiful place, gorgeous gardens (it helped it was a nice day) - clean and nicely decorated rooms.

Noisy plumbing! But I guess you get that with an old property!
