the very fact that you make it as easy laid back or as active as you like the choice is yours the brown trout make it which ever way you want

I would find it very hard to find anything i didnot like while i was there except that i did not stay long enough

We had a very relaxing time at The Brown Trout. The staff were lovely very friendly and helpful the food was great. We had one of the cottage bedrooms the view was lovely looking over the golf course. Would hope to return later in the year.

Very friendly staff, good accommodation and a decent restaurant

The Brown Trout was ideally placed for our visit as we were attending The Irish Open golf at Portrush. As soon as we arrived we felt comfortable and it was exactly the sort of hotel we were looking for. Very comfortable and welcoming and suited out purposes perfectly enabling us to relax and also being convenient for sightseeing.

We have stayed at the Brown Trout on several occasions and have never been disappointed . The staff are very friendly and most helpful. We would highly recommend it will be returning on again.

Great staff and location , stayed in the Chalet room over looking the golf course. Very relaxing.

The water was extremely hot so had to be careful. The breakfast was not good, would say sat under a heat lamp and the ingredients could have been a better quality.

This was our second visit to the Brown Trout and it was every bit as good as we had remembered from the previous occasion in 1995. The staff are incredibly friendly and the service was excellent. The golf was a bit of a non-starter (not the fault of the hotel) as the rain started just as my husband tee-ed off on the 1st. However, the excellent meals and the generally relaxed "feel" of the hotel made our long trip from Scotland worthwhile and we hope to return sometime in the future. Thank you to everyone at the Brown Trout who made our stay very pleasant.

Great value for money, large comfy rooms, good food, friendly staff.

No phone reception anywhere!

This is my forth stay along with my friends on a golfing break every one is off the same opinion as me excellent ie the staff the rooms and not for getting the out standing food. We would all recommend the brown trout very highly to any one concidering a break in deed some of my friends where so impressed with the place they have taken there wifes down for a romantic break and to do some shopping. We have now decided to make this our anual golf break and will be going down at least twice a year we would not go any were else now. So I big thank you to all the staff for making our recent break very enjoyable and hope to see you all soon. Bobby jim stephen ian gerrard andy thomas.

Excellent accueil avec le sourire. Personnel toujours disponible et prêt à vous aider. Très bon hôtel rapport qualité-prix situé à côté d'un golf magnifique: vue imprenable au petit-déjeûner !! La chambre était très propre tout comme le reste des infrastructures.

Il manque simplement un accès Internet gratuit dans le hall: n'ayant pas d'ordinateur portable, je n'ai pas pu me connecter pendant mon séjour.

We loved the fact that you were able to bring your dog with you,this place was recommended by a friend who stays quite often and told us to try it and we really enjoyed it and look forward to the next time. The staff were very friendly.

I found the staff very friendly and the food excellent. The local clientelle were also friendly and introduced themselves to us. The location even though in the country was good and had a couple of major towns and city nearby to visit. Information on surrounding points of interest was well advertised. Bedrooms were big and you could also bring your dog if you wanted as they were made welcome at no extra cost. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a get-away-from-it-all trip and it is ideal for golfers.

The only downfall was the double bed in the rooms were slightly smaller than the average double bed although there were two of them in the room.

We found it very welcoming & friendly - excellent food & willing to provide dishes to our specifications. The beds were very comfortable & large. It was a very quiet location.

I would have liked a change of towels daily or have been able to dry these.
