The room was large, comfortable and well furnished. Staff were helpful and efficient. Only a limited bar meals menu was available in the evening. Heating was only turned on for a limited time which was not satisfactory in Winter.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived just before a group of 100 were due to arrive for a works party, and because of the possibility of noise we were relocated to another room well away from the party location. Although we arrived just before this group were about to take over the dining area the staff managed to arrange an excellent meal at short notice for us. We have stayed in this hotel many times before and will certainly stay again when in the vicinity.

Friendly staff. Good food, enormous breakfast. Let them know in advance that we needed gluton free menu and they were very accommodating, even providing gluton free bread for toast. Heating was timed and could have been on a bit more,especially as it was snowing!

Room cleanliness, friendly very helpfull hotel staff, well appointed en suite rooms, giants breakfast, central location in Galloway for hills lakes coast and castles Easy access to leisure and recreational pursuit as walking, golf fishing great prices fro winter breaks options to have evening meal and lunch too easy on line booking system good car parking facitilities I wish they could sell the lovely tartan rugs on the beds

The welcome we received from staff was excellent. We only stayed for 1 night but were made to feel as if we were long lost friends. We love the idea of being able to take our dog and look forward to our next trip there when he will be able to come with us. The breakfast was lovely and quite substantial we didn't need anything to eat until the evening. I would certainly recommend the hotel to family and friends and guarantee "we will be back."

It was my first trip to Scotland and it was close to where me and my partner were wanting to go to take some pictures, it had a good local feel about it and the staff were friendly, I liked that it included breakfast at such a good price The hotel was quite dated however at the time we were staying there were refurbishments going on in other rooms. The shower was really old but it worked and thats what matters, cant complain at all for the price!
