Lovely period building and friendly staff.
Our room had a very small half-size bath. Breakfast started quite late and there were no cooked options.
I really liked the friendly staff. Bed was really comfy. Room was clean but needed a bit of updating. Was made very welcome.
Had slightly dripping tap and shower room door didn't close properly.
the warm welcome I received was amazing.ron the lady owner said to me are you john I replied yes ,to me that was a very special touch that she was intrested who I was as a guest at her abode.she told me nice resturants to eat at and local entertainment on offer amazing and her mum was lovely as well thanks for a great stay
Location was good. Staff friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Value for money.
Missed a change of towels.
1. It wasn't clean 2. Really expensive for its facilities. Paid 120 per night for the weekend of bank holiday without even breakfast. Expected more for such an amount of money 3. No fridge, no hairdryer 4. Really tinny bathroom
knew the building as self and various family members had lived in different houses in Brunswick Square and this is why I booked .Has the potential to make a really wonderful hotel.Owner very helpful and welcoming.
General shabbiness. It was in need of considerable repair and redecoration. Room was very small even for a single room and the bathroom was very poor and grubby.
new owner on day i arrived. very friendly and sure will make improvements to some aspects
bathroom small and needs modernising
Clean bed and room
attitude of the owner/ manager
Good location and relatively easy to park. Bed linen clean and fresh. Upgraded for free to 4 poster room on 2nd night, much bigger and bath considerably cleaner. Apparently will have new owners soon who will hopefully refurbish hotel.
Room booked was v small and bathroom grim. Stairway uninviting and grubby. Owner said it was his last weekend. Did not feel we got value for money but 2nd night was an improvement!
Peaceful place, very friendly owner and met new owner who was also very nice.
Just a little bit far to walk back from nightlife at night. Had to get cab back but it was worth the £5 cab fare.
Near a park Near a bus stop
Broken tiles in miniature bathroom. Sheets hung in passageway to conceal possible ageing plaster. Musty smell in back section of building. Put into this section even though the main part of building didn't appear to have more than a few guests.
Close to beach and town very friendly staff
Regency splendour. Gorgeous part of Hove. Views of the sea.
No breakfast. Window didn't open taps only dripped so running a bath took ages - no shower.
We arrived early the manager was most helpful took our luggage and helped us with parking and ordering a taxi for our lunch appointment.
Location and host was good
Bathroom too small and room grumby
A lovely friendly hotel in a beautiful location. Owner and staff outstanding - could not have been more helpful. Amazing view of sea and gorgeous Square from bedroom. Will be back soon.
The room was not very clean their was that much dust I wrote clean me in it . Also a pair of lady's evening gloves left on top of wardrobe Whitch should have been white but that much dust on them they where a dirty black colour window did not close over all room very poor and also in need of a very good clean will not even talk about the bathroom and wc need I go on very poor in deed for the price booking. Com who validates these room it's made think would I use you again !!
The breakfast was a bit disappointing...! I'm a chef so when it comes to food I expect a good standard, not processed cocktail sausages for breakfast, overall I would go back
I liked the owner
The Hotel Manager and other staff were extremely welcoming and kind. The hotel gives you the sense of feeling like you are at home away from home. Living in Brighton before, I knew already that the situation of the hotel is utterly amazing, especially for families with kids. The beach, the park, cafés, restaurants and the grocery stores are just around the corner and it is a short walk for small feets downtown, either from Western Road or if you prefer walking along the seafront. I highly recommend this place and I will for sure check in there again next time I'm in Brighton.
Brunswick Square is stunning in the architecture. Close to the beach and shops.
Substandard hotel. Wifi didn't work on the top floor. My bedroom didn't lock and the manager couldn't climb the stairs to fix. Bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. Soaps weren't replaced. Room was hot and fan was noisy.
Clean crisp sheets
Dirty rooms, windows, curtains, bathrooms - to be honest a worn out hotel - steep staircases - no lift and no parking nearby.
Good location near to beach
Poor cleanliness, stains on walls and ceiling, hole in wall, no hot water, tap fell off
Close to the each and bars
Hotel in general needed a revamp and room wanted a lick of paint and a new bathroom
