View of the castle. Parking space availability. Internet booking price. Interior decor a little old fashioned. |

For us it was very convenient - good bus stops outside - plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby and also the park and golf course. Our room and bathroom was well equipped - but no minibar! The bedroom ventilation was poor - having the window open at night meant the traffic noise level was high: having thick duvets on the bed in June seemed unnecessary. |

This is my favorite Edinburgh hotel though not the most luxurious. The position is great and there is even some access to free parking. |

I liked both the friendly and proffessional manner of the staff. I also liked the design of the bathroom in the way that it had both a bath and a separate shower. I didn't like how from the outside of the hotel and the lobby it seemed to give the impression of quite a modern themed hotel yet when in the rooms they seemed to be old fashioned. |

Great location - can walk to Princess Street, but not in city centre - in nice area, opposite a park, staff always friendly. Stayed in rooms 230 and 231 next to noisy fire escape door that woke you as people went through |

stayed there many times - staff remember and always attentive. Food good and inexpensive - breakfast particularly good I don't bring a car but if I did, parking would be a problem |

Convenient for the part of Edinburgh we wanted to visit. We felt that the price we paid through Booking.com was fair. The hotel's tariff would not have been such good value for money. The tea and coffee making facilities were hidden and we only found them 5 minutes before we checked out.The car park is very small and tricky to access. having said that the reception staff were keen to help find us a space. |

Complementary upgrade, free internet, large room, breakfast, location Our room looked quite outdated: old TV hidden in wooden box, antique hair drier, no fridge, no air conditioning. Other room (single) was OK with big flat TV but noisy and small. |

The hotel is nicely located opposite a park and it is an advantage that private parking is offered, even though it is limited. Staff was friendly and very helpful. |

Hotel was very comfortable and within walking distance to Princes Street. Super breakfast. Delighted with the complimentary room upgrade. The free Wifi network in the hotel was a good bonus. |

The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excelent. The rate that we got through booking.com was very good bringing the price in line with other more standard B&Bs in the city. |

It had a great bar downstairs, and the rooms were both spacious and clean The bedrooms did not have airconditioning and were very very warm, so much so that I had to take the fan from the hallway in the middle of the night and position it beside us for the remainder of the night to stay at a normal temperature! |
