My most favourite thing about the Best Western Bruntsfield Hotel was simply the wonderful comfy beds!! The best nights sleep I've had in a while! The size of the rooms, the facilities and cleanliness were to a very high standard and made our stay very pleasurable.

There are many things in which I could complimnet the hotel. The friendly staff and the breakfasts being the best two. The hotel has a lovely relaxing atmosphere about it and has a fantastic small beer garden which was a good escape from the hustle and bustle of the City!. There are two aspects on which I would like to comment upon with regards to my stay. The first being that the room to the back of the hotel above the kitchen were very noisy due to the massive extraction fan from the kitchenm which was on till 11ish at night and went back o at 6am in the morning. The other comment I have to make is that everytime someone came through the doors outside the room the room door rattled. These are not complaints because we had a wonderful stay they are comments that if noted will make other guests stay more comfortable.

Spacious rooms, perfect beds. Overall, nice place to stay. Separate taps are overwhelmingly inconvenient. Maids are rather unceremonious. The hotel is situated far from the city centre. Very frugal breakfast.

The nice shops just around the hotel were lovely, and the staff was very helpful. Very easy to take the bus, but also a nice short walk into the city centre.

Everything about the hotel was good or excellent. Reception staff were exceptionally friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and warm with good facilities and tastefully furnished. Breakfast was also good and very well presented. We can certainly recommend the Bruntsfield Hotel to anyone wishing to visit Edinburgh. Good bus services with a stop a hundred metres away and buses can take you to the city centre in ten minutes - either the Old Town or New Town.

In November the room prices are very competiive. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well fitted out. The staff are helpful and always available. The wi-fi is not reliable. Parking is difficult and requires frequent checks on parking meters on the main road. The food in their Bisque restaurant was ok but nothing special.

The Hotel staff is really helpful! Every one of my request were provided. This is probably the best detail of the hotel. I’ve stayed for 10 days in 2 different rooms. The room 105 was really amazing, large, non-noise and clean. Room 12 was not bad at all, but there is a kind of night club downstairs and the noise during some days remains until 1 in the morning. There is a good bar that still opens around 1 in the morning. By walk you will spend less than 10 minutes to Usher hall, around 15 to Prince Street and 20 or 25 to Royal Mile. It is really noise for rooms such the 12, when they are using the night club downstairs. The hotel was able to tell me about it before I've got in the room, but it still a problem if you have difficult to get sleep.

Clean hotel, near the centre of the city. Nice walk to Princes Street. A somwhat "cold" feeling of the interior (decoration). Limited cramped parking facilities for the size of the hotel. Not a place to take your "supercar" of Bentley!

All staff were extremely warm and welcoming. Taking time to speak to my daughter. We stayed in a double room with an extra bed and ended up with a super king bed, a single bed and also a sofa bed. My 7 year old daughter loved it and didn't want to leave to go out a walk. The area outside is very nice, full of coffee shops, restaurants and independent shops. The kings theatre is just around the corner and your about 20mins walk from princess st, or a 5min car journey. I stayed here as it is very difficult to find parking in edinburgh and the hotel had a car park on-site. I would choose this hotel again. Breakfast was also very nice as were the staff serving. The only thing I wouldve liked to see was more choice on room service. The only options were lasagne and a chicken dish. After a day shopping we couldn't really be bothered going out for dinner but there is plenty of places round about for take away anyway.

After having stayed at a number of hotels this year, I can say this was the best by far. Everything was clean and in good state of repair, the staff excellent, and best of all - the room. Well done.

The pictures of the front of the Hotel aren't actually the hotel - they are the buildings across the street. The double room pictures are quite deceiving as the room we had was small and had no more than you would find in any Travelodge for a fraction of the price. The only 4 star thing about this hotel is the food. The rest was a massive disappointment.

The staff were generally very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and welcoming and the bed was divine! We did however find that a couple of the waitresses were rather pushy when it came to making breakfast choices- constantly asking us if we wanted to "order from the kitchen" when in fact we were hoping to take a leisurely breakfast. We didn't appreciate either, being told to sit in what felt like a corridor when in fact we asked to be seated in a quieter area. We assumed that this was because we were a couple rather than a larger party. We were disappointed that car parking was such an issue. We had to pay to park the car on the road because the car park was constantly full. We certainly wouldn't recommend guests choosing this hotel solely on the fact that it has a limited number of parking spaces.

The location was perfect because Brunsfield has a huge range of speciality shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel offers free parking if you choose to come by car but the local bus service is also excellent.

Its location, the rooms, the breakfast. Its lovely and quiet and you don't get disturbed by other guests during the night. We've stayed there 3 times now and would definitely go back. Some of the staff in the dining room were a little 'superior' and not friendly. Others in the hotel including the dining roomcouldn't be more helpful.
