Great friendly hotel
Friendly attentive staff seemed pleased to help, Food was first class, breakfast and dinner alike, clean and comfortable room. would highly recommend it value for money. Tom Wilson.
No fault of the hotel, The arrogant git who thought i had parked to close preventing him getting in his drivers door, poor soul had to climb over from passenger door, Hope he reads this and his next trip offers as much harship as this one did.
The evening meal and the breakfast
We liked the location, about 15 minute walk into the city. Hotel parking was a bonus. Hotel breakfast was v good .Staff v pleasant.
Warm @ friendly staff Whirl wind service Superb spacious room Easy to work from WIFI Loved breakfast choice Room service light dinner & white wine of the month
Plot 22 Sauvignon Blanc
Amber checked us In on arrival and couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean warm and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent we will definitely stay again when in Edinburgh. 10 out of 10 all round. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.
Nothing at all.
Too high price of full Scottish breakfast
The breakfast, friendly staff, location
Nearby restaurants. Polite and pleasant staff
Parking is very limited although it is free and in Edinburgh that is a good thing
Room service Breakfast was delicious Facilities Comfort Close to city centre Friendly staff
One female receptionist was very friendly when checking us in. The location by the park and short walk to town was good.
One man at reception was rude and unhelpful to another first asking about breakfast. Rather than apologise and give her a nearby breakfast location, when asked if breakfast was still on he simply grunted, "No, over." The housecleaning were rather pushy in the morning to get us out of the room, and the bar stopped serving food or snacks rather early (before 10). Won't be coming back.
Location, reception on arrival, having parking in Edinburgh. Room comfortable.
Had booked a twin ( as with my mum), girl at reception confirmed it was a twin but when we got to room we had to separate the 2 beds as although made up singly they were side by side as a double.
Staff were very helpful, the room was lovely and cosy with a nice big bathroom and the food in the restaurant was gorgeous. I would deffo stay here again
Slight plumbing problems this time around-hopefully sorted before my next visit
The fact the hotel upgraded us free of charge made my birthday celebrations all the more special. Great location easy walk to Princes Street. Very helpful staff and lovely food. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.
staff were extremely friendly free parking for car homemade shortbread in reception
The character of the rooms and comfort.
Location, and bus stop outside hotel with regular buses .
Car parking a problem. Not enough spaces.
I liked the hotel and the restaurant. The breakfast was included and very good. the staff was excellent, and very helpful!! We had dinner there which was also very good. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was also very good. There was parking at no additional charge, which was helpful as we rented a car.
pillows were not comfortable. Would always prefer organic, like feather or down. There were stairs to climb on way to room, even after using the elevator, so we needed help in getting to the room, which was always available. Shower worked great but instructions would have been helpful.
Comfort of bed, room generally massive. Location, good parking busses run past hotel to Princess St (about 1m). Staff good, helpful.
Cannot think of anything to dislike
Good location. Friendly staff. Room was very clean. Breakfast was excellent.
Car parking was a bit limited.
Loved everything, location ideal as we like walking and only about 20 mins walk to city. Taxis not expensive to use in the evening. Didn't eat in restaurant but breakfast good. Tried to book an extra night but hotel full, so disappointed!
Nothing to dislike.
Smaller hotel with friendly and helpful staff which is within easy reach of city centre
Lack of parking facilities
The staff are first rate and with a quiet room and comfortable bed we could not ask for more.
Lift a bit slow but stairs ok anyway
