Extremely lovely host with lots of knowledge of the area and where to go etc. The room was just perfect, comfortable size, very clean and great facilities. Fabulous location, with great views and very peaceful. Will defo be going again.

Just a 12-minute drive from both Portmeirion and Porthmadog, offers a comfortable room in Talsarnau. In a converted barn, the guest room at Bryn Derw benefits from the property’s free Wi-Fi and on-site parking. The room has a power shower and bath, and a flat-screen TV and hairdryer. Tea and coffee facilities are also provided, and there is an additional single bed as well as a double. In the heart of Snowdonia, Talsarnau is just over 30 minutes’ drive from Mount Snowdon. The famous 1920s village of Portmeirion, designed in the style of an Italian village, is an iconic attraction and has excellent restaurants and attractive gardens to explore.

Our property is a converted barn on a smallholding,off the main road. We have 28 acres of land and lots of beautiful scenery surrounding us to walk in. We have ample off road parking and safe storage for bikes if necessary.
I enjoy meeting new people and will try to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible with information on local places to see and good places to eat out. I buy locally sources food and make my own preserves. We are keen beekeepers and hope to be able to have our own honey for our guests too!
Portmeirion village is only five minutes away and other attractions like the Ffestiniog Railway and Welsh Highland Railway. Snowdon is fairly close as are other hills and mountains for the outdoor lovers. Coed y Brenin Mountain Bike centre is only 20 minutes away.
