great leisure facilities nice junior suite peaceful location friendly staff
dinner poor compared to last year when food was delicious
Junior suite, surroundings, awesome bed
Food not the best, stayed here many times, my last few meals were a disappointment. The rooms look wonderful & clean enough, I couldn't understand why my allergy flared up, (severe dust allergy) on further investigatiom, the walls were thick with dust as were many lower surfaces, I ran my hand through the shelf of the bedside cabinet, it was thick & covered with dust. There was also a THICK layer of dust & debris under the bed!!
Lovely welcome, room overlooked the golf course. Had a complimentary bottle of prosecco and chocolate dipped strawberries in the room waiting for us. Excellent meal in Blas restaurant again with complimentary bubbly. Would definitely return
Location, setting, facilities
The car park is very tight.
Beautiful countryside, fabulous views and wonderful Spa facilities
Great location with good views and award winning Cornish lager!
Grubby carpets, poor housekeeping.
Room looked amazing
Staff failed to deliver on service
The food was cold
Food was excellent. Very comfy bed.
room was great. excellent pool and gym. food was excellent.staff very friendly and helpful. great choice of breakfast and well organised.
Loved the food and excellent gym and pool.
We stayed for our wedding night, could not fault the hotel and spa apart from a few house hold issues.
Faulty plug in bath, mould in bathroom and coffee stained mugs in room.
Lovely and clean. Loved the huge bath towels, very luxurious!! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee in the bar made exactly as requested. Didn't get to use gym/pool facilities so can't really comment on them but definitely going to return and will use them then.
Nothing to dislike!!
Location was excellent which afforded views across the valleys and the start of the brecon beacons. The Spa facilities were excellent and the beds were very comfortable to sleep in.
There seemed to be quite a lot of dust in the hotel bedrooms (Room 105: - on the furniture, woodwork and inside the wardrobes). Also there was a lot of dust in the ceiling extracts over the swimming pool in the Spa / Leisure Facilities. We ate at the restaurant, bar menu and were disappointed that the chips were not cooked properly (still hard in the centre). We chose to eat at the nearby Bumble Bee Pub, excellent quality and two for one deal
Already stated above.
Noisy people at 2am in the morning. Breakfast on the Saturday 23AUgust,food was cold and not cooked properly.
The comfort of the bed. The location The Spa Nice opening onto golf course Good room size
Slow service in the restaurant Poor breakfast Over priced meals, which are not as described, eg served new potatoes instead of fondant, pork served with fish which was not advertised. Very limited facilities, no free Wi fi in room, no pay per view, no welcome pack in room promoting hotel facilities and local area. No mattress protector, but the mattress was clean Dirty tea cups No nets or covering to large window, which meant golfers could look in at 7.30 am until dusk.... TV in bathroom, which I understand does not work throughout the hotel.
Room good size lovely bathroom very quiet had a good nights sleep. Staff very helpful when we asked for directions for our onward journey the receptionist printed detailed instructions for us. I would definitely go back again for a longer stay
It was very difficult to find off the motorway
Loved the location and views all the staff were very friendly and helpful
The furniture in the bar was rather shabby all the cushions were flat and uncomfortable.no table cloth in dinning room the tables were pass there best. I was served breakfast with a cracked cup (very poor ) carpet from main reception to corridor stuck down with black tape.and our pillows were very poor for this establishment I have had much better in the run of the mill B/B not good value for the price of £132.a night i would have expected much better
The staff were very friendly and helpful
We love the place and the view way breath taking, we went for early morning walks, we just don't have rolling hills like this in Ontario Canada,
Super comfy and elegant bedrooms. Very peaceful rooms. Huge fluffy towels and windows overlooking the golf course.
There is only one entrance so all guests whether bridal party, casually dressed redidents or spa visitors in robes were at one point scooting past a bride and groom receiving their guests. Didn't like feeling like a spare part at a wedding trying to get a table or drink in the bar surrounded by wedding guests who dominated the public areas delightfil though they were. A dedicated area for residents to relax/eat/drink away ftom big parties would be good.
The dinner steak too-tough chips very dry bed not very uncomfort hardly and toiletries lighting very bad so dark had a job to see in mirrow
The views .
We had dinner twice but on each occasion the meal was not up to the usual standard.
