The owners were far too overbearing and intrusive. The breakfast cereals were stale.

Very friendly owners and an almost family environment. They're very keen to help with recommendations on place to eat / sights to see. Breakfast was good - using local produce. It'd make a great stop for hikers. A little bit pricey for what you get. The top rooms are small. Very small. Be advised there are no lifts and the stairs are long and narrow. Its a long way from anywhere in the evening - unless you have a car.

It's like a hidden gem. Drive is about a quarter mile (400 metres) long and a little climb. Very friendly welcome and well informed. Breakfast is at a shared table. It is more like visiting family. I think Bed and Breakfast in it's purest form. Slept in the single room number three. Small as it is you get many conviniences. But since it is small you may want to take this into account before booking when your lenght is over six feet or 1.80 metres.

Quirky with character. As it's in a very rural location, you have to drive to get dinner.

The facilities were very comfortable, the food was very good (although more variety might have been nice) and our host was very helpful with information about the area.

The location - far from the road and in the beautiful countryside Can't find it using Garmin GPS. Perps adding coordinates would help.

The view to the hills from our second floor bedroom window was breathtaking. The owners shared their love of the area with us, and sent us on an exiting driving tour, most memorable. Breakfast was excellent. We paid for "Room 1, Large Double Room (En Suite) 1 extra futon bed (single) can be added to this room (at an additional cost)." When we arrived the room was tiny, with no room to put our luggage. The en-suite bathroom was very very small too. The two flights of narrow stairs and long walk from our parked car were challenging.

Absolutely wonderful, obliging and kind owners of this family run B&B made our stay remarkable. Mouth-watering breakfast made of fresh, organic local ingredients swept us of our feet. A true away-from- the-city experience + convinient locaion of Brecon Beackons trekking as well as many local Welsh castles.

Score from 26 reviews
“Very impressed with the hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Extremely clean and the atmosphere in the lounge was lovely. Very rustic combined with modern and contemporary. We stayed in this hotel for the location and historic surroundings. Raglan Castle was a few minutes walk away and the hotel is set in a quaint, historical village. We plan on returning and will definitely be popping in to use the restaurant where the food was first class.” Nicola, Cardiff |
