Breakfast was excellent, location perfect and a knowledgeable owner who gave us directions to a number of charming areas when the weather was wet
Very friendly proprietors. Picturesque setting. Building has history.
The owners are wonderful! Breakfast, farm atmosphere, green living
A lovely location with very friendly and kind owners and an excellent breakfast. Very quiet.
No evening meal available nearest food 1 mile away.
I felt at home with the friendly reception. The breakfast and packed lunch were excellent.
Was made very welcome and a real family atmosphere, felt like a member of the family rather than a paying guest!!
The location (even though our GPS didn't quite get us there - we had to ask directions), the ambience of the B&B, the great hospitality, the information about the area (the Brecon Beacons) and getting to see the owner's (Keith) book about the history of Brynhonduu.
The location as it was very remote but it was not easily found. The directions from booking.com was not very helpful when one was very close -- it just said turn left but which left turn was it
The room was very small and the shower did not work properly. It was either hot or cold. When I mentioned it the first morning was informed that it was because people fiddled with the dials. The following morning I complained again and this time the proprietor checked for themselves which meant that a new shower unit was needed. no apology was forthcoming and no suggestion of a refund because of the inconvenience caused.
Really friendly owners who can share lots of local knowledge.
Check you know where to go when it'light rather than try and find it in the dark.
Beautiful unspoiled spot. Knowledgeable, friendly hosts.
Bed a tad small.
A lovely location with very friendly and kind owners and an excellent breakfast. I was also interested in the history of the place - most interesting. Many thanks for everything.
Interesting history presented by owner.
Very difficult to find. Distinct lack of signage. Parking could have been much closer to property.
Very welcoming great hosts wonderful breakfast. Very personal
Very friendly and helpful owners. I have also liked a sitting arrangement for breakfast ( with everyone at one table) - I had a pleasant conversation with other guests every morning. Lovely countryside. Heating was on as the nights were quite chilly.
Location, beds, breakfast
Pedantic staff, cold shower / bath
Really friendly owner who told me many things about the history of this amazing old house. And really delicious breakfast! Thank you!
Thank you for your warm welcome, Keith and Carol. Keith has a passion of all things Welsh and will gladly share his vast knowledge of interesting information
Room cramped and small,,, claustrophobic
Lovely part of the country, very quiet.
Shower was a bit under powered.
Friendly and welcoming. Comfortable rooom. Good breakfast.
They need better external lighting for people arriving after dark.
location - rural near village; warm atmosphere; homely; helpful couple who run it
The breakfast was excellent , good quailty food. The owner knowledgeable about the area and helpful.
We stayed in twin room , the en suite was very small, bath a d shower under sloping roof , very difficult to get into shower , could not stand upright, had to sit side on on toilet . Shower only would have been far better use of space .
The rooms were not very clean.
Hair dryer was good.
Building was not as pictured on booking.com website. Address on website does not work on sat navs, so were taken up a single track road, that was in the wrong directoion. Asked a local for directions who pointed us in the right direction, and said that there was signs to direct you. The only sign we saw was so high up on a post that we drove past it. Bathroom was not totally clean lots of grime and lime scale. Cobwebs in the bedside table lamps, weird wiring around the room. Owners were friendly, but we felt like they (he) wanted to plan our time there. Breakfast menu limited, I had bacon and an egg. My husband had bacon, sausage and eggs. Bacon was stone cold. Room a bit small. We booked for 2 nights but did not want to stay for the second due to the uncleanliness. Had to pay for one and a halves nights accommodation.
Loved the surroundings. It was very idyllic. Very friendly owners. Lovely breakfast.
Nothing. All was good
Interesting history, period features, a very welcome host, pleasant although somewhat over powering.Ideal venue for back packing walkers. Bedding would be imporved if white cotton broderie anglais style top sheet was used.
The hotel signs were at a junction after the entrance. No lighting along 3/4 mile drive, so return after evening meal was difficult. Saniflow system toilet was noisey, bedding was very faded and did not smell fresh, and valance did not fit bed which was very uncomfortable especially with a very saggy soft edged mattress.Needs a revamp.Host demanded guests sit at specific parts of the communal table, which others also found strange, he did not like 'gaps' between guests. No public sitting area apart from breakfast room indoors, so no relaxing area.No evening meal available nearest food 1 mile away.
