The service was excellent.
view ,comfy bed, good breakfast
shower was tempramental roasting then freezing, room furniture from the 50s ,im 61 and my nan had a wardrobe the same as this one! bedside lamps were 11watt so room was dark couldnt read in bed bathroom was cold no radiator
The hotel was clean, breakfast was good.
The hotel is extremely outdated, the bathrooms were hideous and room was so hot we couldn't sleep!
Comfy and homely excellent value for the price we paid by internet, would have been very disappointed if we had paid the overrated price that was on the sign at reception of £117 per night for double room. Excellent breakfast
Ease keep menus up dated in bedrooms for restaurant and bar or mentioned to go and check for changes. We were disappointed when we were unable to have a meal we wanted due to the menu change.
nice friendly hotel good food excellent value for money
The breakfasts and such a comfortable bed.
The hotel was so relaxing, the food was good and well presented, lovely. view's from our window. Nice. long drive leading to a big car park.
The food was great. Fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The view from the bedroom window was fab overlooking the canal and the hills beyond.
We were put into a ver small room which had no working light in bathroom, no working tv and a funny smell. When i went to reception all she could offer was a twin room. The next morning spoke to a different receptionist and she was astounded to hear about our first room as it had been condemed and was a single room. She was fantastic though and sorted out a few problems we had.
Beautiful location. Comfortable rooms.
No staff on late at night, not enough staff to attend to requests, the bar was often unattended. No welcome pack in the room.
staff very nice -very helpful youngman in bar &youngman serving food -food excellent -bed very comfortable -nice lounge&breakfastroom
tv very old&reception abysmal - switch for spa bath not hi -lighted -had to ask staff but very helpful !
Staff very welcoming. Food was outstanding and felt very pampered with a glass of fizz and a red rose! Room and facilities were great and bed very comfortable.
The staff are friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night while visited family. The log fire in the bar was great, very welcoming. The shower was powerful and the huge fluffy towels amazing.
The food was ok but could be better. The bar meal wasn't cooked very well. The breakfast was plentiful but many items were either under or over cooked.
This hotel was situated in an idyllic area but not too far from the town centre.
The bed was amazing and I wanted to take it home with me. It is a beautiful old building and the room was huge.... the lounge bar with its glorious big open fire and the staff were excellent. We had food in the bar and it was lovely, plentiful and good value.
Did not like anything..... the tv signal was down but they were working on it and did not affect us
Clean, friendly helpful staff, excellent food. Good facilities. Lovely building and location.
Have experienced more comfortable beds. Shower very temperamental. Long time for hot water, then big change of temperature whilst in use ,[ hot and cold]
breakfast was amazing, room very high standard, very welcoming .
It was an amazing location lovely room slept well and shower was lovely. The breakfast and service excellent.
Very friendly, willing and helpful staff. Nothing was too much. Food of a very high standard. The location above the canal side is wonderful and the views from the dining room windows are breathtaking.
The room while superficially clean could have done with a deep clean. Bedding and visible surfaces spotless. However odd spots of mold on the window frames and found lots of dust when retrieving a dropped pen from under the bed. Lots of wind noise from windows, but to be fair there was a gale outside with 60+mph gusts during our visit.
We had a great time here for the weekend! The food was excellent the views were breathtaking,Lovely room infact everything was fantastic. Am planning our next visit soon.
The light in the corridoor afected our sleep! Not as many sockets as we would have liked.fire in the bar a no goer!0
