The location of the hotel was excellent, it is an ideal place to stay with golf, canal boat trips and other countryside activities close at hand. We had a room with an amazing view over the Vale of Llangollen. All the staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful, Patrick especially was exceptional. The food was of a very high standard and better than most hotels we have stayed at. All in all we can't wait to return to this little gem.

The friendliness of the restraurant staff. Cold water tap in the shower not working!!!!. Evening meal, whils't enjoyable a bit on the expensive side. Second night we had a lovely meal in a little Italian restaurant in LLangollen high street "like for like ie. three courses £20-00 cheaper.

The location is lovely, the room very clean, well appointed and pleasant, and the breakfast excellent. Overall we had a lovely stay. A minor point was that the breakfast dishes were too hot to hold even with a paper napkin. Guests were advised to use a napkin to hold them but cloth napkins weren't provided. It was slightly farcical to watch as guests either searched unoccupied tables for something to use or tried to juggle the plate back to their table without burning their hands.

The location was excellent. First class breakfast and more than sufficient evening meals with good choices. Pleasant and attentive service from all staff. A very good old hotel. Views from the restaurant were scenic. Bar Lounge bar furnishings were somewhat shabby and one had to seek out staff to serve a pre dinner drink.

Location convenient to Llangollen. Possessed restaurant which saved us the need to look for a meal elsewhere after we arrived. Food was reasonably good value. The hotel was good value for the money we paid which I suggest was a reduced rate. Would have been somewhat expensive for what it was if we had had to pay full price. There seemed to be no choice but to buy a two or three course meal. Would have been a little dear if had only a main course. There seemed to be a leak in the gutters above our room which disturbed me during the night with the sound of dripping on the slates below.

Nice location in acres of grounds by the Llangollen Canal. Obviously an old manor house that has been extended, the restaurant has been built on the front of the old house and has amazing views over the manicured lawns and on towards Llangollen. Room was large and the food was very good. It is actually about 2 miles from Langollen itself, but an easy drive. There is a bus stop at the end of the drive for Llangollen or Wrexham or you could even walk along the canal.

Lovely hotel, lovely room, friendly & helpful staff, comfortable. The hotel is grand yet airy & the views are magnificent. Their breakfast is the best I have experienced & I am used to 5-star hotels. They are correct when they say '5-star service at 3-star prices'.

We loved the location. The hotel has a real charm about it although we were a little disappointed not to be staying in the main house this time. The wing where we were was okay but is in need of a face lift decoration wise, I.e the woodchip paper needs to go!Our room had stunning views towards the hills and overlooking the lawns. We booked a double room and again we were disappointed to find that it was 2 large singles pushed together but they were very comfortable, but because of this the headboards were offset making it difficult to get maximum efficacy from the bed lights.Staff were polite, friendly and helpful and breakfasts were excellent, again with the dining room boasting stunning views.Easy access to the canal and the 40 minute walk into Llangollen, bus stop not far from main entrance and a decent pub within walking distance. All in all an excellent experience again. Just the dated decor in our accomodation wing.

Bryn Howell is situated in one of the most picturesque valleys, very close to Llangollen. Great for walking, exploring N. Wales etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful, with a Maitre d', Patrick, who is outstanding. The food was superb. The rooms were spacious, clean and had everything, inclusding one of the best showers, I have had in a hotel (bewrae of the hot water). The buiding is beatiful, but does need a bit of attention to the structure. Overall, some of the best value for money, I have experienced in any hotel.

It was a pleasant stay and the room was comfortable. The bacon at breakfast was not cooked enough and there was no one on duty in the bar in the afternoon.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful location adjacent to the canal and near to picturesque river with views of hills all around. Attractive hotel inside and out. My husband and I are not foodies but we thought the food was exceptionally good and would recommend visitors to try it. It became a bit too hot in the room in the night. But after the window was opened this became ok. However, another visitor might not think it was too hot at all.

Beautiful drive up to the hotel, combined with luxurious interiors. This is a gorgeous place to stay, lovely view from the window, stunning furniture in the rooms, breakfast superb!. We paid a great price to stay here, especially when you saw the tariff behind the desk upon arrival!. All the staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was very clean. Our bathroom contained both a shower and a bath which was a big plus. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to all.
