The location of the hotel was excellent, it is an ideal place to stay with golf, canal boat trips and other countryside activities close at hand. We had a room with an amazing view over the Vale of Llangollen. All the staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful, Patrick especially was exceptional. The food was of a very high standard and better than most hotels we have stayed at. All in all we can't wait to return to this little gem.

Nostalgic trip as it was where our wedding reception had been held. The welcome was very pleasant and the staff very helpful. The hotel seems to have 'lost its way' and not maintained currency with good quality hotels over the past 20 years. Breakfast was adequate and of limited range rather than extensive. Bedrooms are also adequate and lack the layout and design of more modern hotels. It needs a good makeover and could be - indeed should be, a top quality hotel in such a wonderful location.

Overall standard was good, excellent value. Location good for our need to visit family. Staff very friendly when we arrived. Only had breakfast on this visit, which was good. Lunch and dinner menu looks good and will take more time on our next visit (yes...next visit) to sample at least one of those. Better pillows would have been nice. Main light bulb not working in room....did the room have a final check before we had arrived (in the dark)?

All the staff are extremley polite & curtess , the building has character Location excellent for travel.Good location for walking in countryside. Bar menu excellent food & good value put the resturant to shame. The decor needs refurbishment , the lighting fittments need cleaning or prefreably updating. The alcarte menu was poor , very dissapointing from previous year. Tv reception bad only 3 channels available. The spa at wild pheasant was dirty & cold, with broken fittments

The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. As we had arrived late evening it was dark & raining so it wasn't untill the morning we saw the stunning views from the window - breathtaking! As was the view from the Dining Room during breakfast. A very enjoyable stay.

Excellent stay and credit to all involved with the Hotel. I would also like to recommend the chef on our stay (never got to meet him / her) but the food was top quality. All staff very polite and would like to thank Patrick (Bar Staff) for his friendship - a great guy. We will most certainly visit again very soon - Thankyou

Hotel set in beautiful surroundings with stunning views. Hotel staff very welcoming. Breaklfast, looking at Castell Dinas Bran and the Panorama was exactly what my son and I wanted. Having lived in Llangollen for many years, it was like coming home. Patrick was something special. He lit up every room he entered and was a great conversationalist. Hope he comes back from Kenya!! Will recommend to others and will certainly return. Having to leave!!
