Breakfast could be better
very friendly staff
Friendly welcome. Key for main door if needed to come in late. Clean room, plenty of towels, good powerful shower, well heated room, (had to turn radiator off), comfortable bed. Didn't use Wi-Fi so can't comment on that. Excellent breakfast, cheerful local staff. No hidden extras.
Nothing comes to mind.
A lot of noise from the street on Friday night and from the fire door outside the room. No shower in bathroom
Welcoming staff, dog-friendly, clean and comfortable with a great breakfast.
Being woken at 6.30am with a noisy delivery truck right outside the window.
good food. helpfull staff
parts of the hotel in need of re-decoration
I have seen Moffat on the signposts for 50 years and this is the first time We've stayed overnight there. It is definitely worth a longer stay. The hotel was comfortable , a little tired and definitely faded but the staff looked after us really well and were very responsive to any queries we had. The food was very good. Altogether a very enjoyable "stop-off" We shall come again
bar staff really helpful on arrival
hotel is tiered need money spent on it for the rte charged
The facilities for my motorcycle, the staff were very friendly, food was great, and location ideal for what I was doing.
Individual Motorbike sheds. Very friendly staff, excellent food.
Great place for all travellers alike but especially the most motorcycle friendly hotel in UK. We were in the car but if this is how they look after bikers then we're in! Dave the owner is a class act, very knowlegeable and extremely helpful. Top marks 10/10
As bikers the hotel is in a excellent location to tour the Scottish Borders. The owners and staff could not be more helpful. A good breakfast starts the day & the food in the evening is good to.Bedroom was small but clean & tidy.Parking for bikes was brilliant with induvidual shed for each bike and powerwasher available to.
Nothing not to like by us,a great 4night stay.
Friendly staff , comfortable atmosphere and very dog friendly
A room with a better view would have been nice
Well appointed room. Very clean well serviced
Lumpy mattress. Bacon cooked long before service making it hard and cold but cheap enough to overlook
Friendly and relaxed. Great breakfast.
The bathroom was a bit cold
Very comfortable if older hotel. Restaurant good and a fabulous Scottish breakfast made with local produce. Excellent staff.
The older style dated bathroom
Home from home, commanding views over Scotland's boarder country this olde worlde Scottish town is right on the m74, but very peaceful and with loads to do. The hotel is well appointed friendly to all and welcomes bikers with little bike garages. The bar sells Innes and Gunn beers one of Scotland's best kept secrets and not to be missed. The cooking and breakfast in particular is really good but there is masses of local choice and tea shops. Simply a great place to stay.
Food was quite good, Beds were comfortable.
The hotel was in need of decorating and updating to generate more custom.
Food was excellent at the pub.
the helpful staff peace and quiet
