Score from 125 reviews Good
Very pleasant staff,good value.
Up-grade room was said include a lake view or garden view; we had an excellent view of the car park.Added to this there was no privacy net outside the curtains despite being easily visible from the car park
We were attending a trade show in Telford and thus needed to be away early each day. Even though breakfast was not available until after I need to have left the hotel made arrangement for us to have a full breakfast before leaving.
It was very peaceful
Comfort of the hotel
Reduction of heating on Sunday evening
Bathroom needed updating
Staff excellent and very helpful nothing to much trouble for them.Peaceful and quiet like location
Very relaxing surroundings
Good size rooms and well decorated Nice location - lake view Staff were all very helpful
The only negative I have is that wifi was offered and not delivered. I was on a business trip and needed access to wifi to complete some projects whilst staying overnight. The staff were a little too laid back about the fact that they were "having problems with the internet and had been for a week".
atmosphere of room and bar surroundings
no wifi (down the whole time) filthy bathroom filthy carpet in the corridors had to go through 5 doors in some kind of labyrinth to find my room, what would that be in case of a fire had to wait 10' before staff showed up at reception desk and let me check out
nice clean large room with a small lounge seat Well appointed bathroom Very comfortable bed Excellent dining room and food with good service.
the WiFi was down while we were there.
A getaway from the hustle and bustle, the relaxing surroundings and the friendliness of all the staff from arrival to departure. We stayed here 9 -10 years ago and we would stay here again should we need to be in this area.
Bar service was a bit slow at times, but this did not impact to much on our stay.
In a lovely rural settinng and close to all ofor the Ironbridge atttractions.
No Internet access in rooms and very intermitent In public areas. Bar did not open until nearer 6.00pm, this was a bit annnoying especially as there is no alternative nearby.
bed was small bathroom door would not close unless slammed
Location, surrounded by woodlands and farmlands. Lots of walks in the surrounding area. Nearby market town and historic site of Coalbrookdale & Ironbridge Gorge only a 15 minute drive away through delightful villages..
Accomodation, food and the personel were excellant.
A misunderstanding about the number of nights booked
Room with no balcony Plug sockets didn't work Unhelpful staff Nothing to do in the evening
Excellent staff, pleasant room, excellent breakfast.
Rooms were excellent. Reception staff were very polite and helpful.
Breakfast was tasteless. Tinned mushrooms at a hotel of this calibre?? Come on. Female restaurant staff could benefit from a course in manners and customer service. The Hotel is not a patch on what it was like when Mr & Mrs Wilson owned it.
Nothing is too much trouble for staff at this hotel. They could not have been more helpful or friendly, we will absolutely be going back again.
Setting, very peaceful, yet within a minute of the motorway Easy access to the West Midlands Friendly, helpful staff The balcony rooms are very nice
Food and the menu does not offer a great choice and Gluten Free options are poor especially on the Lander Bar lunch menu
Location of hotel was handy for nearby sightseeing. The room was clean except for under the shower taps which could only been seen when sitting in the bath.
The noise, not being told a function was on and that our room was above the function room.
Warm welcome on Reception; Free Parking near entrance; Receptionist booked our taxi to V Festival saving us money. Nice size room, TV, large comfy bed, very clean, lovely bathroom with bath and shower. Seating area. Plus desk, mirror, plenty of wardrobe space. Pleased with room. There was a wedding on in the hotel that night but we heard no noise!
We weren't told about breakfast in the morning by the Receptionist - even though we had booked and paid for it on booking.com When we returned from the hotel we were hungry and informed only sandwiches were available for room service and the bar was closed. Not sure why. £8 for a cheese sandwich (overpriced!)
Friendly & helpful staff, excellent accommodation, lovely location & good food.
All staff polite bedroom very nice size large twin and bathroom v quiet comfy beds tea coffee making in room leg TV screen wifi gd Gd meal In restaurant
Cost of double espresso normally is not 2 singles charge On paying bill charged twice am sure accidentally for something
Size of room and bathroom, nicely maintained grounds. Friendly staff.
Poor TVSignal, poor wifi, lumpy bed, noisy air vent. Breakfast was very standard, expected more and would have liked the hot food to be hot.
