I chose the The Buckatree hotel purely on price and was very pleasantly surprised when I checked in. The Hotel has recently undergone a major refurbishment to a very high standard. All the public rooms and the bedrooms have been decorated and refurbished. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the breakfast menu was very good and the bar meals were excellent and really good value for money. The hotel is well situated for touring around the Telford/Ironbridge area.

As claustrophobia sufferer and there are a lot people like me. My first priority when booking a Hotel is to be sure the bedroom windows open fully. Claustrophobia friendly Hotels are not easy to find. The lovely balcony room we stayed in at Buckatree Hall Hotel was perfect for claustrophobia sufferers. The Hotel is delightfully situated on the "Wrekin" and a nice place to stay to visit Ironbridge museums. We had a very pleasant four night stay, and intend to stay again.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They also dealt with issues very professionally and were very quick to find solutions when asked. First room (see below) was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was as pretty standard fit choice but good quality food. Disappointing experience. Booked four poster room for anniversary weekend. First time away without kids in 10years. Unfortunately room was directly over the conference room - which was hosting a ladies night on first night and a wedding reception the second....No information provided on booking. Had to move room because noise was unbearable. First time in years I have asked to move room. Staff moved us without drama. And to be fair we were not charged for that night. New room was standard double room. Which I would not have booked for romantic weekend away. Hotel must tell people when conference room is being used. Staff were great but not enough to repair damaged weekend. Bar was expensive. Food was average. Ordered med-rare steak which was well done....not even close. Overall pleasant stay but not special.

Good location, in a quiet area with good view, but easy access to transport links Cleanliness of the room could be better, duvet cover was very dirty and stains on bed throw. Limited tea and coffe in room, if yo have a cup of tea on arrival none left for the morning.

Good food. good location, easy to find Having to wait for ages to be seated for breakfast every morning despite there only being two other people in the restaurant. Reading in the room folder room service was available 24 hours, and then finding out it wasn't

The hotel was situated in a beautiful location surrounded by spectacular countryside, within a short distance of Ironbridge which is a huge tourist attraction being an area of outstanding beauty and cultural and historic interest. The hotel was superbly decorated with nicely appointed and comfortable room. By using Booking.com the short break was extremely good value for money. All good.

We enjoyed our stay at the Buckatree Hotel from the moment we were greeted in a friendly manner at Reception. The facilities were explained clearly and booking in was smooth and effiicent. We both loved the room given and settled in straight away. Of course we are planning to come back for a longer stay next time and will sample the evening meals. It would be lovely to have a swim/jaccuzzi experience within the hotel, in the future.

Stayed at the Buckatree Hall Hotel many years ago, when it was a Best Western. It is still a very nice hotel, with rooms that have balconies and are furnished to a high standard, The buffet breakfast was excellent and served in a lovely dining room. Enjoyed out stay, and will return to this hotel when visiting family in Telford.

Fabulous location, you could go walking straight from the hotel. Right by the Wrekin but not far from the motorway so made a great overnight stop. In an area of lovely Shropshire countryside. The room had a balcony overlooking countryside, which if the weather had been warmer would have been lovely. Nicely decorated room with very comfortable bed and a good freeview tv. Two arm chairs in the room so we didn't have to sit in the bed. The majority of the room was clean but the bottom of the sldiing door to the balcony was very grubby and there were marks on the duvet cover, which we fed back to the hotel. It was very noisy as we were above the function room, so ask if they have a room that isn't. The fire alarm went off after midnight as one of the guests (not the hotel's fault) had opened a fire door and the bin men arrived before 7 am, so we did have a disturbed night BUT we would stay again as the location is superb.

From the initial welcome to the final goodbye we had a wonderful experience. The staff members were helpful, the rooms more like those found in a five star hotel, the food delicious and meals were served in immaculate elegant rooms. The venue was convenient but set well away from the motorway in tranquil gardens. Quite an exceptional find!
