location and setting was good. hotel rooms comfy. nice for couples who like the country side.
Wifi in hotel was appalling especially as I was staying over on business. Breakfast, was not seated or asked for tea/coffee nor toast.
The bed & the food.
The house keepers screaming at each other whilst cleaning rooms.
The bed was fairly comfortable. One of the reception managers was very helpful.
Fire alarms going off in the early hours, two nights in a row. Breakfast was average, I think the hotel is over priced. Wifi was slow and a weak signal. Hairs (a lot of small curly ones) on the floor in the bathroom. Offered a room move but the point is that the room shouldn't be like that in the first state.
The friendliness of the staff really good and we felt very comfortable.
Stayed two nights and had BOTH nights sleep disturbed by the fire alarm going off. Not a very restful stay.
picturesque grounds room and bed comfortable staff very friendly and helpful
ordered steak as evening meal - very tough room service breakfast was the smallest eggs with bread rather than toast!
All round great
Staff very helpful. Clean Food good
Lack of bar staff of an evening. Didnt like having to go to reception for them
Loved it we had a very pleasurable stay
Food. bed . Room and staff all good
Waited at bar for a while before staff came but not a prblm
The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was warm , comfortable and quiet .The rate I paid was very good value .There are lots of attractions in the area and the hotel would make a good base to explore Shropshire
the location, the comfort of the rooms, and being dog friendly and the cost that particular weekend.
being told we couldn't have breakfast next day even though when the room was booked breakfast was on our confirmation on screen and on paper, it spoiled the weekend away, my mom rang up and complained and we were offered half our money back, I would of liked to of taken my girlfriend for another night with breakfast to make up for our other one being ruined
Lovely full English breakfast and plenty of it. Staff very helpful and friendly .Room was clean and comfortable . The ground floor location was excellent in meeting my needs
LIKED IT ALL
You get a sense of luxury here compared to the usual Telford hotels and it is more comfortable, relaxing and quiet. A bit further away but worth the drive. Opposite Ercall Woods to walk the dog.
Pet friendly but not in the bar area which was a disappointment.
Very quiet. Good value meal.
Wifi in room poor
The hotel was gorgeous the Christmas decorations made it look wonderful and the staff were so helpful nothing was too much trouble.
We didn't encounter anything we didn't like.
Everything apart from the wifi.
Wi fi very poor
soft matress and radiator in room permenently on max heat made room too hot control broken on radiator
The hotel was very clean, comfortable and charming. Hotel staff were very friendly and treated you like royalty. The room had everything you needed, from toiletries to coffee. We booked a room with a balcony, was not disappointed, we had a room which overlooked the lake at rear of the hotel which was lovely to wake up to. Breakfast was 'ok'.. Good selection, the cooked breakfast did get a bit cold as it's not made to order, otherwise would highly recommend.
Lack of car park space and the bed was a standard double, I think.
Beautiful Setting. Excellent Staff Good Food Comfortable room a bit small.
Car parking restricted
Nice hotel decent food and real ale
Location, staff and value, we have stayed at the Buckatree many times and was lucky enough to get a great deal for an over night stay, we would recommend it to others, and will be going back again soon,
Breakfast want as good as usual, I always look forward, to our morning breakfast at the Buckatree, but it seemed lacking in my usual favourites and there was no vegetarian choice, but still enjoyable and the waiter did get me some croissants
From the moment we arrived at reception nothing was too much trouble for the staff, very friendly and approachable. Evening meal very good value, served nicely and very tasty. Breakfast was also good.
Shower difficult to switch on and off, condensation pickle on bathroom ceiling.
The room was cold - the central heating not functioning. Had a small electic oil heater brought to the room. This ocurred on both of my visits. Otherwise the Hotel was fine
Valu for money and comfortable
Poorly lit outside
