Location, surrounded by woodlands and farmlands. Lots of walks in the surrounding area. Nearby market town and historic site of Coalbrookdale & Ironbridge Gorge only a 15 minute drive away through delightful villages..
Accomodation, food and the personel were excellant.
A misunderstanding about the number of nights booked
Room with no balcony Plug sockets didn't work Unhelpful staff Nothing to do in the evening
Excellent staff, pleasant room, excellent breakfast.
Nothing is too much trouble for staff at this hotel. They could not have been more helpful or friendly, we will absolutely be going back again.
Setting, very peaceful, yet within a minute of the motorway Easy access to the West Midlands Friendly, helpful staff The balcony rooms are very nice
Food and the menu does not offer a great choice and Gluten Free options are poor especially on the Lander Bar lunch menu
Location of hotel was handy for nearby sightseeing. The room was clean except for under the shower taps which could only been seen when sitting in the bath.
The noise, not being told a function was on and that our room was above the function room.
Warm welcome on Reception; Free Parking near entrance; Receptionist booked our taxi to V Festival saving us money. Nice size room, TV, large comfy bed, very clean, lovely bathroom with bath and shower. Seating area. Plus desk, mirror, plenty of wardrobe space. Pleased with room. There was a wedding on in the hotel that night but we heard no noise!
We weren't told about breakfast in the morning by the Receptionist - even though we had booked and paid for it on booking.com When we returned from the hotel we were hungry and informed only sandwiches were available for room service and the bar was closed. Not sure why. £8 for a cheese sandwich (overpriced!)
Friendly & helpful staff, excellent accommodation, lovely location & good food.
All staff polite bedroom very nice size large twin and bathroom v quiet comfy beds tea coffee making in room leg TV screen wifi gd Gd meal In restaurant
Cost of double espresso normally is not 2 singles charge On paying bill charged twice am sure accidentally for something
Size of room and bathroom, nicely maintained grounds. Friendly staff.
Poor TVSignal, poor wifi, lumpy bed, noisy air vent. Breakfast was very standard, expected more and would have liked the hot food to be hot.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Newly refurbished room overlooking the pond was spacious, smart and comfortable. Food good value for money, well presented. Restaurant and bar smartly refurbished too. Quiet location close to motorway. Handy stopover for the V festival. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area.
Cleaners servicing room whilst at breakfast. Inflated prices during the V Festival.
rooms very small/ location is good if you are young ,its all up hill balcony was a disgrace
We have stayed here maybe 4 times
Car Park was general full during the evening. Breakfast from Buffet Foyer, prefer cook fresh.
Very clean room and bathroom
Not enough coffee and milk
The location was excellent, plenty of walks and seating area's around the grounds. The room as very comfortable and clean.
The only fault as the wifi the connection as poor. on a leisure this doesn't matter to much. May be more important on a business trip
Hotel is fine. Staff were polite and helpful bar. Our stay was fine, room comfortable food fine
Reception and bar not always staffed. After a long wait the Receptionist appeared to serve in Bar. A large coach party and anther function were all happening at same time
Staff and the Hotel location
Menus: Both Restuarant and Bar menus were the same all week and not too much choice. We only had Breakfast in the Restaurant and a couple of evening snacks in the bar.
Room was lovelyand clean
Breakfast service was slow
great setting for a wedding we attended
décor very dated, housekeeping poor several cobwebs in bedroom and bathroom. we booked a superior room and were given a basic until we went to reception to question was this a superior room receptionist said no but offered no explanation or apology
the surroundings. the food comfortable staff helpful and freindly
The food was great. A very pretty looking hotel.
Filthy skirting boards. Carpets needed hoovering. Tea drips on the wall and bathroom door. Dusty cabinets. Only 1 towel between us. There was supposed to be another towel in the wardrobe but there wasn't. The prices at the bar were extortionate. £5.50 for a single whiskey and lemonade. Noisy at night.
Everything staff top drawer food superb stayed fri/sat
Staff were friendly Food was fine.....not outstanding but the service for the evening meal was very quick ! Too quick fir us.
Our room was in a terrible location, no outlook just a wall. The window would only open 2inches and it was very warm. Could smell dogs....not too bad but it was noticeable. Nothing drastically to fault, but as we booked last minute , I didn't ask to change rooms, but wouldn't have stayed another night in that room.
