We thought the room was good value for money as it included a good breakfast. The garden was lovely. It was a comfortable 20minute walk or so into Exeter which suited us fine. We had no problem parking in the hotel car park. The staff were very helpful.

We where not told that there was a wedding and so loud music in the room beneath out bedroom until late.

In general, the hotel requires a bit of TLC,to return it to it's formar glory.

We where woken up by the cleaning lady at 8.30am in the morning bang went our lay in, the shower gel shampoo where not replenished

The experience delivered by your hotel and staff for my daughters wedding on the 18th June 2011 was exceptional. The food was excellent, the service was great and the organisation was impeccable.I Travelled from Southampton with my partner and we had a very nice stay in your hotel.Thank you again for a great day that made my daughters wedding go without a hitch.

The only thing that I can think of that I was not too happy about was the fact that I booked my room via the internet over 2 months before the wedding and it cost £187 for a twin room.When we arrived at the hotel the place is very nice in a gorgeous setting of mature gardens however even though I had book so far in advance the room we were given looked out onto a very grotty roof and a shed and someone's back garden.I Feel that this is not the sort of thing I expected from such a grand and may I say rather expensive hotel. I would love an explanation as to why after taking the time to book well in advance I was given a room especially as it was my daughter spending a great deal of money in your hotel did I get a room with such a poor view?

Clean rooms

Generator noise at back of room 52 - had to move as impossible to sleep. Poor skills of receptionist - no eye contact and no real interest in guests. No heating in the bathrooms of cheaper rooms!

Extremely comfortable and well decorated rooms,extremely helpful staff,really good brerakfast and only 15 mins walk from the city centre. Also great value for money.

As a regular visitor the high standards of previous visits were maintained. Particularly liked the bedroom now with duvet and the sparklingly clean bathroom. Breafast, as always, was exemplorary.

One or two carpets in public areas becoming threadbare.

A well located hotel with a big car-park. Nice grounds. Well appointed rooms. Excellent breakfast service. Friendly staff. Opposite three bus routes with direct access to city centre in under 10 minutes.

It lacks a separate room for residents only, so when there are big wedding functions the bar area can get crowded and very noisy.
