Very large room, comfortable bed, nice and helpful staff
I think some details may be improved, e.g. provide more towels for the bathroom or a newer kettle and a larger mug.
Price and location
There are no nice things to say about our stay!!!!!
hmm where do i start! the stuff at the hotel dont wear uniform so it is very hard to tell who works there and who are the guests. me and my wife found the bed very uncomfortable on the first day, then found the sheets were never changed! and the pillows were so hard it was like sleeping on a huge bolder, we asked for two towels because there was two of us and we never got them and they would fold a the old used towel up and put it back to be used again. also we found that a few of our items had been moved about to the point that a 10 pound note was removed from the room 5 minutes after we left to go over to the petrol station across the road, they said that they would ask the housekeeping staff about it and they taken our mobile number and they said they would get back to us however we have yet to hear from them also we had major issues with the neighbour as we found he/she was constantly banging and crashing about at the late hours/early hours of the morning! finally while the wifi was free the tv was small and channel rather lacking of anything other the droll that is freeview! we also kept bumping into each other because the room was way to small for it to be a double bed as the bed itself was a fire hazard being next to the radiator and sometimes we would walk into the furniture there was only about 1 foot between the cubbord and the bed. And to reliterate we are still waiting to hear from them about our missing 10 pounds which i dont think we will ever get back.
Someone walked into my room at 12.30am and at 4.30am I could stand the noise from the room above no longer and had to climb on the table to bang on the ceiling
If you are in the main hotel complex then the rooms have been refurbished. And are of good standard and comfy. Not far from the main shopping centre for zizzi's pizza express etc 10 min walk
I was put in the 'Annexe' believing it to be adjacent main hotel but it was 50 houses down the road, ok if the weather is ok and you are able to walk with your bags. They have a few houses on this road some have better rooms than others.
big room with comfortable bed, clean fridge and good microwave. very nice staff
wifi has improved since I went there the first time last year, but could be improved a little more, as from a computer many pages don't load
Cheap for area. However, I can normally book comfortable B&B for £25 per night. Two single beds. TV. WiFi when it works. Fridge. Ensuite shower v compact.
Room overheated with radiator off and window open. Kitchen sink, drainer, hotplates and fridge unit. No clothes hanging space. Next to kitchen and sitting area which is not used because it acts as store for empty wardrobes. Residents stand outside smoking and shouting at each other at night.
Great location Excellent staff and very keen
Need to focus and invest on fundamental things like pleasant accommodation and definitely not heating with autotimer turns off at 8pm to save money on December night -2 ! Refurbishment is essential and can't get away because you've bought 32" slim TV. As a professional in this industry I know very well what people want.
left my iphone at the hotel, the honest stuff called me and sent it back to me.
I liked the free wifi and the fact that you can connect all your devices and not get booted off.
I didn't like the fact that you are looking for the door nber for the annexe, you knock next door, book on get keys then have to drive half aile down the road to your accommodation. Although the ceiling fell through with a water leak from upstairs, they did change my room and tried to help. No refund offered though.
It was cheap and clean. Free wifi. Good shower. Mini kitchen unit with fridge and microwave kettle and sink.
A few minor things...The annex is quite a bit further down the road from the hotel, and parking is round the back of another house so quite a walk with heavy bags. the room was clean apart from some half eaten chocolate in a wardrobe, and the plates had grubby finger prints on them. It was a triple room but only had 1 mug 1 small cup 1 t-spoon, 2 grubby plates and 2 knives so we had to take turns having a cup of tea. Some washing up liquid would have been useful.
Staff very nice, comfortable bed, warm room in winter, WiFi improved vs my previous stay, great TV with lots of good channels
the lighting system for the bathroom with sensor movement not always working, will be easier to have a standard one and will avoid wasting energy
Nice clean friendly.
Have noted to stay again
No heating in the large, wet room . In January Brrrrrrrrr.
not much except sometimes I have to stay there.
The regulator valve for the radiator was missing and room was cold, they were very unhelpful, reception is 300 meters away, a pain to go there to get a heater, they would not care to bring it to me.
location facilities in room staff overall very good would stay again !
road noise the only issue probably cant be helped !
internet, tv, very clean
Modernised. Comfortable. Great shower. Price.
Annex too far from reception (short walk is a mis-description when it's dark and freezing). Car parking is too far from annex. No control of heating in room meant that the fridge motor was intrusively noisy all night. Nowhere to return key when reception is unmanned.
Receptionist was very friendly. Cheap enough for the area. Got lucky with a parking space right outside. Last minute booking possible
About 400m along the main road from the main building, without it's own parking. Bathroom was dirty (toilet had not at all been cleaned) and towel had faint bloodstains. Radiator in the room didn't work. Woke up freezing as cleaners came to the building and opened up all the doors (about 2 deg C outside).
The room was standard but decent. Clean bathroom, tv, microwave, tea/facilities, parking and close to town. Would book again providing there was no building work at that time.
Building noise!!! Got woken up two mornings from 8am to builders right outside my window! Was so loud and impossible to get back to sleep and knocking on the door early to ask if we wanted room service, would just walk in room whilst asleep until they was told they wasnt needed. Bit annoying, was only one towel in the room too when booked for two people but maid gave us one once we asked.
Couldn't make the WiFi work
Cleanliness and helpful staff - a bit overworked - yet excllent. Overall excellent value. Good breakfast.
One towel for two people !! No remote control for the TV - had to keep getting down from the bed to operate the TV !! not good at all. Some hooks in the bathroom to hang 'the towel'. If the cumbersome chair is removed and replaced with a smaller one there would be a bit more space in the room.
It was more than we could have expected for the cost.
Has useful appliances like microwave.
Bit more dated than the photos and it is difficult to find. Staff just gave us general directions and we had to phone up while searching around for the correct building. TV was tiny for the size of the room and very far away from the bed.
The bed was the only warm place. Free wifi was good.
The loud noise from the pipes when other guests used the bathroom or kitchen taps. The odour in the whole room which would not go away. Bathroom lights coming on and off when you are in there or not. There was no heating in the place. The bin was very filfthy and smelt badly. Staff didn't inform us about anything about the hotel. Stained dirty towels were left outside the dooron the second day. It's a horrible place with noise levels like a construction site and smells light a sewage full of dirt. The toilet nearly over flows when it's flushed. The place was very dirty especially the bathroom. When other guests used the bathroom, the plumbing noises their bathroom wakes you up. The television is placed in a position which cannt be moved or adjusted and so makes viewing difficult.
