We got a suite - very comfortable and very nice
Shower on bath was a bit poor which was odd because the bathroom had been done to a high standard.
Very strange dated decor. Terrible old lumpy beds. Wallpaper ripped. In no way a good experience.
Warm welcome Great location opposite the entrance to the pavillion gardens and a few minutes walk from town Free WiFi connection Querky - lots of photos of stars and star themed bedrooms
Hotel needs a lot of TLC On entering hotel looked like the carpet needed a good Hoover Bedroom over a very noisy bar until early hours of morning
Location was very good and the hotel served good ale choice.
Poor breakfast choice for vegetarians. No eggs! Bizarre decor throughout the hotel - too many action hero photographs in bedroom which was rather off putting plus beer mats on bedroom doors that were offensive . Lots of diy needed in bathroom it felt like everything was unfinished. Overall a little disappointing.
Ambiente, friendly staff
central location, efficient polite staff. ease of free parking value for money.
The first night we ate in the dining room which is adjacent to the Ramsey Bar so we were having to eat and talk over the noise from the bar customers as the connecting door was open and customers were continually walking through the dining area. The next night we ate out. that said the food was excellent.
There was a bar that stayed open until 12ish and was cheap
Facilities not great, hotel very worn looking. I had heard it was a bit of a novelty hotel so I was open to it being a little rough around the edges but had I been travelling as a couple and not as friends - I would not have been impressed in the slightest.
On arrival we were greeted plesantly at the reception, it was apparent that this hotel is themed and with great interest we made our way to our room for the night, front and centre of the hotel, the room JT thats John Travolta, his pictures adorning the walls...a pleasent surprise. a large comfy 4 poster bed, a good nights rest, recommended.Thanks.
The staff were very welcoming
The gardens at the front of the hotel were in need of some TLC
Great onsite pub, next to gardens
The friendliness of the staff. The hotel is opposite entrance to the Pavilion gardens very handy for a nice walk. The food in the hotel was very good, and there was quite a good choice.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Large family room and spacious beds. Situation near to lovely park, theatre & river walk. Enjoyed good evening meal and continental breakfast.
Could really do with updating and decorating. Shower cubicle in room not "inviting" didn't use it. Could really do with an update and re-tile.
The comfort was very basic, we asked for a mattress topper because the bed was so hard but it did not arrive. Cannot comment on the restaurant because we ate out. We would have had breakfast but they only offered continental. Lovely building but poorly maintained.
Food and good value for money. Excellent beers
Friendly staff, beautiful room, the rooms are personalised after actors , close to city centre ,very clean and comfortable bed ☺️. I would recommend to all my friends ( I already did ) . Definitely we will go back !
Room was large TV worked Slept well
Decor in room was creepy Decor in hotel was creepy and weird Staff were brusque Room not well appointed in terms of decor or facilites
Free wifi Free parking On-site pub and food
Grumpy bar staff - young girl had little customer service skills, not very welcoming to non-locals (believe the bar is independent to the hotel though).
Location of hotel to pavilion gardens and town centre. Private parking on site a bonus. Well received at reception.
Rooms with different themes eg Bruce Willis Bar is in the Good Beer Guide Cereal and jam selection at Breakfast
Breakfast coffee was very weak
Really close to town, staff excellent and extremely friendly, facilities good. Has a quirky charm, themed rooms interesting.
Food was a little pricy, but you should expect that from a hotel. The worst thing was sleep. The plumbing rattled all night, and dogs being welcome isn't to the benefit to all guests in the morning!
Lift to room. Dogs allowed in Bar. Good menu choices. Huge park opposite hotel.
No cooked breakfast available.
We liked the comfortable beds, the decent size of the room, the lovely big toaster with the huge array of marmelade and jam jars and the somewhat unusual decoration of the corridors and rooms with posters of film stars etc. Not a boring, run-of-the-mill place, but really nice and enjoyable. We stayed here before and rather hope to be back!
Just one thing: The door of the shower cubicle in our room had beed replaced by a shower curtain which tends to cling to you while having a shower. Apart from this everything was in really good working order!
Value for money Location Large bathroom Large car park
Breakfast not included Busy decor, especially in lift
The location was great. Parking is gd. Rooms are spacious.
The beds are uncomfortable. Didn't have breakfast as it wasn't appetising much.
Great value for money, rooms were large and clean, it is dated and could do with an upgrade but for the price it's great value. The hotel is quirky... Especially the lift!! We never ate there as the town is a few minute walk. Plenty of parking and happy hour in the bar from 5-8 , would stay again
