Location. Walking distance to town and stations. Staff friendly and helpful. Free Wifi which kept the older kids happy to stay in touch with friends We probably stayed in the 2 worst rooms, which had yet to be upgraded to the standard of some of the others. On busy main road so was very noisy. Had no fridge but other rooms did Towels gray and thin. No phone, clock/radio, box of kleenex provided, Checking out time of 10:00 am too early Tiny tv. Poor lighting. Light in bathroom broken.

We thought the breakfast was good value & the staff appeared helpful. Our bedroom was sold as a 'luxury double' although to be honest even though the room appeared fine, i'm not sure what was particularly luxurious about it as it was smaller than others, it was on a ground floor which overlooked the carpark & the television was limited to terestrial channels only, which was surprising. Also, the car parking was awkward.

Room was clean and comfortable For the price paid I expected more from my 'Luxury' room perhaps even digital tv. One of those hotels that has towels and cushions on the bed - just where do you put them when you don't need them?

Management Staff were very friendly at all times and extremely helpful. My room was nice and modern with useful facilities such as hairdryer and iron and fridge. Bathroom was freezing - the heated towel rail did not work. Also bathroom had hairs from previous person in the shower. Pillows yellow stained - need new ones. Downstairs, nothing to read in the lounge - daily newspapers would be good. Also we had to wait for an hour for our evening meal which was not worth the wait for. The lady doing the breakfasts speaks minimal english and kept giving me bacon with my breakfast despite the fact that i kept telling her i was a vegetarian. parking limited to 4 cars at the front due to the building work on the building next door. Location wise - is 20 min walk from the town but the area is shabby and run down. I did not feel safe walking around the area once it got dark. However, this hotel was nicer than the ones other collegues stayed in. Restaurant shut Sunday nights so had to get something cold to eat from garage down the road.

The staff were very friendly and willing to help with issues. The food was truely awesome, just one complaint. The portion sizes are huge. The room that I was in was very nicely appointed, good size bed and cleaned every day. The only real problem is that the food takes a bit of time to come, and although the staff are friendly and helpful there don't seem to be a lot of them and occasionally they seem abit overwhelmed.

Basic but fine given the cost. Breakfast was an issue. We had a bowl of cereal, a glass of juice and a slice of warm bread which was meant to be toast. As we left the manager tried to charge us £7.95 each! We argued the point and he gave in and only charged us £7.95 in total for both of us. Actually, I could have served that up for 50p. We felt ripped off!! Most places would give you what we had FREE. The only charge that I could see mentioned for a breakfast, was the full English which we declined.

Convenient location for where I wanted to be. Very good value, friendly staff, room was ok with a good shower. Breakfast good. It felt a bit shabby and could genrally do with a new coat of paint. Car park is a mess and a bit dangerous in the icy weather

Room was good and bed comfortable Had to ask for en-suite lightbulb to be replaced. Food was disgusting. After a long wait my '*8oz Sirloin steak done rare' turned up as a tiny well done Minute steak. They insisted that it was Sirloin as that is all they ever bought. I asked to see one - to no avail. The restaurant was bland and non-inviting, tables not even laid out. Bar was even worse. No wonder I was the only 'diner'!

Proximity to London. Parking. As with the rest of England Air circulation and fresh air were non existent. On entering the room the air seemed very stale and we almost choked before we could open a window. The bed felt very hard although I realise that is a personal taste. It in fact was 2 beds pushed together with a ridge down the middle. I also got the impression it was a hotel with a pub type bar but the nearest pub was a short walk down the street. Recommendation (below) would depend on what the traveller expected and wanted to do.

Nothing more than already mentioned in questions. I twas ideally situated for my needs. Can't click on to next bit - the only thing I didn't like was the mattress was lumpy and there wasn't a comfortable chair to sit on. also the room was a bit warm at night although the radiator was off, so wonder if the heating was centrally contrlled from somewhere. However, over all I was very happy. I got the room at a discounted price of £37, supposedly reduced from £87. I wouln't have wanted to pay £87, it certainly wasn't worth that.

Location and friendliness were very good Whilst the bed was comfortable, the pillows were hard and unyielding, were filled with artificial fibres and were thus hot to lie on and most uncomfortable. I thought the cost of the full English breakfast was too high, so did not take the option. There should be other breakfasts available such as cereals or coffee and croisants. As a result, we had to buy our continental breakfast in a garage shop and eat it in their car park. Not a very salubrious start to the day.

Over all is quite ok. But they don't have shower cap which I think the common thing to get from the hotel. Another thing is they forget to get us the blanket. The linen is torn...

The location of the hotel is easy walking into the town . there is ample parking front and rear. The staff were very helpful. The best part though was the quality of the room with a double bed for a single guest and great modern en suite. I did not have breakfast on this my second stay but found the breakfast very good on my last visit at the beginning of the year.

Nothing apart from the rooms which were ok apart from my business colleague's room which had the bathroom fan explode and thus trip all electrics Staff Could speak little or no English Breakfast was a shambles, plates left uncleared, one member of staff left to take orders, cook food and serve + she could speak hardly any English On check-out, Reception staff tried to give me a bill which was for a lower amount than the fee paid on check-in with my credit card - had to come back later in morning to correct Very over priced and poor value for money - star rating very doubtful

The fact that it was situated on route to our final destination. For a luxury room the finer details were forgotten. Wires from the tv were hanging, only 5 channels available, there were half eaten biscuit bars and opened apple juice from previous guests in the fridge and no milk. Breakfast and the service left a lot to be desired. They advertise gym facilities (which when asked for were informed 'They are down the road') Parking was difficult. Overall not a pleasant experience!!
