Probably one of the best located 4-star guest accommodations in Torquay, this guesthouse is in a tree-lined road and offers friendly hospitality, a high level of comfort and good value. After having a bad experience on the motorway 2 days previous, found it very welcoming & relaxing. Very friendly atmosphere. Hosts very accommodating, nothing too much trouble. Room & food excellent. Highly recommended.Good location.

We arrived early and the hosts were very accommodating, our room had all the extra touches for a luxurious feel. The food was plentiful and of a very good standard and Steve and Nicky were very good hosts. The guest house is in a very good location with the Town and Sea front 5 mins walking distance, a good array of eating establishments and bus routes which can take you around without getting in your car. An excellent choice for standard, friendliness and accessibility.

Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms; friendly, well-informed service; fine breakfasts; and proximity to rail and bus services. Water pressure seemed low for the shower, especially when all rooms taken.

Friendliness and hospitality of hosts. Room, I would guess, was recently renovated and was exceptionally clean and spacious, Breakfast was better than most I have experienced in similar establishments. First impressions not too good as reception area and lounge/bar seemed a little 'tired'. Improvement work in hand has probably started at the top and moved down. Did not interfere with a pleasant stay.

“It must be 10 years since I last stayed at the Palace. I was very pleased to see that it was just as nice as I remembered it. The decor of all the public rooms has been kept looking fresh and modern, but the character of the hotel has been maintained. The reception area is warm, welcoming and luxurious. The staff are friendly and efficient. I saw 'high tea' being served to the youngest guests and they were being given as much care and attention as any adult in the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent, both in quality of food and service. Our room was good, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was a little tired but it was spotlessly clean with loads of hot water.The Palace is a very calm, relaxing place to stay. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept.
