This award-winning hotel and restaurant offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and luxury en suite rooms, close to the centre of Chesterfield, the eastern edge of the Peak District and the M1 motorway. The Buckingham family are well known for their warm and friendly boutique hotel and the superb Restaurant with One Table and the Clowns Conservatory. The restaurant is unusual in that there are no menus, which means meals are prepared to your personal requirements with the emphasis on quality and freshness. At this cosy restaurant, there is no compromise on quality, ingredients or taste, and excellence comes as standard. Amongst its many accolades, the hotel has gained an award for Best Breakfast of the Year and Best Restaurant of the Year from the Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards. In Newbold, a residential area of Chesterfield, this attractive and comfortable hotel consists of a pair of Victorian semi-detached houses that have been sympathetically converted. Hotel Rooms: 10, Hotel Chain: Recommended Hotels. The most recent booking for this hotel was made on 18 May at 17:27 from United Kingdom.

The food is excellent, you do not have a menu, the chef just finds out your dislikes. I really liked this idea, we had a 3 course meal and it was of the highest standard. The family were very friendly and helpful The decor is very outdated and would prefer duvet on bed not sheet and blankets, shower, toilet and bathroom needs attention. Wifi not good.

The room and bath were very clean. Beds very comfortable. Staff very accommodating and helpful. The lady of the house sent a lovely bottle of water up with us in the evening and the next morning they were most informative about places to see in the area. Breakfast was delicious! Decor was a bit dated and bears on the bed a bit odd. Also only a few parking spaces in front but we were fortunate to get one.

I booh this hotel because the information on the food. The food is not too bad, almost express but far away from the comment I've seen. Room is nice, attention of the owner is good. No menù, they make surprises... Not really clean, low light and dark colour hide the real situation, small bathroom but standard for a traditional British house, I guess.

Very friendly people, rooms spotlessly clean. The food is the real reason to come here, though. I've eaten in hotels in 50+ countries and never had a better meal!

Very helpfull friendly family who own the hotel. the food was superb, and the suprise factor of the menu was a real treat. As advice to others staying in the peak distict, ask for a copy of the route plan they gave us it was superb and practical. The best recommendation we can give is that we will be booking to stay here again. Andy Brittle.

Very friendly, welcoming hotel; single rooms can be a bit depressing, but the room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable. Great location for town centre. Very nice breakfasts! As with many small independent hotels, it doesn't offer the same flexibility as the hotel chains (e.g. breakfast doesn't start until 9.00 am on Sundays) - but it does offer a very comfortable and friendly stay.

I booked this hotel at the last minute and was very pleasently surprised. My room was very clean, comfortable with excellent broadband wifi connection. Bathroom was clean with good towels, a dressing gown (should I have needed one) and although tyhe water pressure was a bit llow, the shower was succicient. The standard of cooking was extremely high and I enjoyed an excellent and relaxing meal. The task light over the work area in the bedroom was missing but there was sufficient light nonetheless.
