Buckland Tout Saints Hotel  

Stayed at a great number of good hotels, but this one was 101% perfect in every way. Right down to the very comfy beds. Staff were superb and nothing was too much trouble. It felt like home. We will be back!! We were upgraded to superior room

Nothing at all. How refreshing in this day and age.

We thought the staff did an excellent job of making us feel welcome, and were helpful when we asked for assistance. The hotel setting, English countryside, is stunning, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location! Our meals, breakfast and dinner, were delicious! We loved the small country lanes....in and around Goveton/Kingsbridge...so interesting. I would recommend this hotel to others only after the hotel does a clean-up and updates/replaces carpet, paint walls/woodwork, etc....

The hotel needs a number of updates, E.G. new coat of paint on the walls and woodwork, new carpet throughout (current carpet is atrociously spotted and dirty!), reupholster all upholstered chairs, sofas, etc. Housekeeping staff should replace towels, facecloths, and hand towels when they are put on the floor, in a pile, instead of refolding them and putting them out again for the clients to use. I had to ask for clean linens more than once.

You should know that we had an attic room with one tiny window that my wife needed a chair to look out of.It was 4 flights of stair up and no lift.We booked 6 nights and stayed 1? I would have rung Gary if I had the No. The manageress couldnt care less but the young receptionist was great . Thank You rj Sadler

The welcome and comfort. Cuisine and attentive service by all concerned. Location close to coast.

The staff at the hotel went out of their way to make my and my bridesmaids' stay as welcome as possible. The food was excellent and my room was fantastic.

A Beutiful old stately home on well kept grounds, very pleasant staff, very comfortable and well presented room. Great breakfast in a beutiful old pine panelled room and a real devonshire tea with clotted cream. It doesn't get much better

Lack of staff - when in the bar. There was a minor problem with flies that were obviously over wintering and were disturbed when moving the window blind. The result was that there were a number then in the room but this was very quickly rectified and handled very well.

Très beau manoir - ou maison de maître - dans une campagne sublime. Superbe vue sur le parc et les environs. Intérieurs préservés dans leur authenticité avec quelques touches de modernité de bon ton. Chambre rénovée avec goût (pas tout à fait le nôtre, mais cependant si confortable que nous avons adhéré). Petit déjeuner de bonne qualité. La qualité du lieu et l'ambiance so british valent le détour par des routes à une seule voie (et bordées de talus de part et d'autre). Toutefois, nou n'avons croisé personne sur le segment le plus étroit, quelque soit l'heure.Lieu à recommander.

Souvent loué pour des mariages, attendez vous à suivre par le menu les préparatifs si vous séjournez le we. Dans notre cas, le ballet des Land Rover et le marié en uniforme des Royal Guards étaient plutôt réjouissants!

Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente war sehr gut.

Das Treppensteigen war etwas lästig, das es sehr eng war.
