Friendliness of Staff , Cleanliness of property, Lovely Breakfast, and I must say the size of the bathroom amazing,
Very friendly, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfasts. Free WiFi in bedrooms.
Unfortunately lounge was being refurbished, evening menu adventurous but a little restricted, no Vodafone signal at all.
Friendly staff, good food, good beer and a comfortable room. Great breakfast, and good value for money. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
Good price, friendly owners, lovely location, good food
Rooms getting ready for a decor refresh, but generally clean and comfortable.
Owner/staff very pleasant and welcoming. Room good, spacious and clean. My wife thought the bath was superb! The food from the Restaurant menu was excellent and the breakfast very filling - real sausages and bacon - scrummy!
Nothing really, although we would have liked a black out curtain over the window - just being picky!
The location in the middle if the nature is quite good. The breakfast is rich and the lady who served it was really kind offering supplies of coffee&toasts
The bathroom doesn't have a proper van and is necessary to close the door after the shower otherwise incendiary allarm will start, the lady at the reception was quite unpolite saying goodbye as if she was happy us to leave..same impression for another couple leaving the b&b.
Lovely place to stay. Extremely friendly and helpful owners/staff. Nothing too much bother for them. Even provided me with a wheat and gluten free cereal at breakfast from their own private supply which was very kind of them. Lovely room.
The friendly and very helpful staff. High standard of cleanliness. Quality of food, especially the wonderful breakfast. The location of the Hotel for motorcycle touring in the area. A very pleasant stay.
Staff, location great for walking
Noise of some of the guests
The owners were friendly,Food was OK The bedroom we had at the rear was very nice and more importantly quiet
the owners, the food, the views, the location, the room, all quite simply stunning!, we will return !
nothing to not like!
The best impression was wonderful smell of bed linen obviously dried outside on sunshine, lovely reminder of my grandma's holidays lol. Spacious room with bathroom nearly as big as room. Comfortable bed. And very very kind owners who did my breakfast 1 hour prior normal Sunday serving time Nice location as well
Very friendly, lovely building, picturesque surroundings, good off road parking.
it was in a lovely part of wales would say there a gene
Beautiful mountain views. Friendly staff.
room large and well appointed
Breakfast was good and reasonable charge,.
We had the last room available and it was no doubt the best - it really needed to be called the honeymoon suite or something for the large bedroom with four poster and an enormous bathroom with large bath. All very nice , but at £100 room only we felt very expensive. For that price, would have expected better & larger towels, bathrobes etc.
We were attending a wedding locally, the hotel was just what we needed and very comfortable. Just a shame we didn't get to spend more time there.
No option to include breakfast on booking.com. Just a room only rate, we didn't know until the last minute that we actually could have had breakfast
The room was a nice size and comfortable enough. We arrived a bit early but were still able to check in.
We wanted somewhere to stay for the night before a sports event in the area the next day. The hotel was painfully quiet when we arrived so with a few hours to kill, we wandered into the heart of the village and found a great little pub - The Red Lion (there's little else within walking distance). We wished we'd stayed there! My main problem with this hotel was the 1970's attitude to people daring to bring food or drink onto the premises. We travel around an awful lot and often arrive late so all we want is to have a beer in our room as we unwind. It's a long time since we've found a place where it's totally not acceptable to do this. There is a £10 charge for anyone caught bringing their own food or drink in and if you dare to take any breakfast item from the dining room you'll have a £5 bill to deal with. Whilst I appeciate that they don't want to lose income from people bringing in a whole meal and several bottles of wine to consume in their room, I find it incredible to slap a hefty charge on for anyone caught flouting the rules. This is definitely a place for the rather gentile folk who want polite chit-chat in the resident's lounge and not for the easy going type. Nice enough, but not for us.
The warm welcome. The friendly staff. The comfortable room and bed. good choice for breakfast.
Shame there was no Welsh speakers around.
Friendly staff, good food
The setting is beautiful and the owners treated us like family friends. The meals were excellent.
The fact that we only scheduled the one night.
Usual friendly welcome, fresh food well cooked, handy location.
Love the Buckley room. Our fourth visit to the Buckley arms and we love it. A small hotel with bistro/bar attached.
