We came for a long weekend at the Fringe and the location was superb for this. The kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated an early check in and the cleaner who met us was very charming and welcoming.
Of two settees in the flat, one should be thrown out as the cushions are so old they collapse under you. The other is very tired and needs to be replaced. The TV didn't receive BBC. There was dirt and dust on all the not-so-obvious surfaces, under beds, etc. The double bed was squashed in to the end of the room meaning the one nearer the wall has to clamber over the other to get out! The lighting in the sitting room was adequate but not warm. The towels were the smallest bath towels ever and the thinnest pile. The bath was slippy if taking a shower but there was no bath mat. Ideally there should have been rugs on the lino in the sitting and bed rooms. The uncovered fuse box in the sitting room was an eyesore. Basically, if you want a budget flat, this is it, but at the price we paid for it, it was a rip-off.
Your department is in another address！！！not the address they post online！It spends time to find it.
Excellent position with easy access to the Royal Mile, Princes Street and Grass Market. Good view of the Castle
Presentation of the property was poor and cramped a some unfinished renovations. Bed Jammed by 3 walls which did not allow 2nd person to get into or out of bed without crawling over the other person
Friendly staff, very comfortable apartment a few steps from Royal Mile and close to many Edinburgh attractions
A little noisy at night and early morning but we live in a very quiet area and it was a busy street
Excellent location with good atmosphere from the street and comfortable furnishings - all the essentials on a short trip from home.
Some of the kitchen cupboards and contents could have been cleaner. Some of the lounge cupboards/drawers had random contents!
Excellent location. Plenty of room. Functional kitchen if you wanted to cook in.
Tired apartment. Many lights didn't work. Bathroom door was faulty. Lounge was damaged.
Great location right in the middle of the Royal Mile in Old Town, Edinburgh Spacious 2 bedroom with lovely views
Very steep, worn spiral stairs to the 5th/6th level At least 40-50% of light bulbs not working or missing Absence of kitchen linens, paper towels, toiletries or soap of any kind
Amazing location on the main street in the city center, big apartment, lots of room, everything new
Everything was great, I can imagu=ine it can be cold in winter as windows are old wooden and easily let air through
The appartment is on Royal mile, best location you can wish.
We booked family apartment and were surprised to discover that it is on the 4th floor and we had to climb very narrow stairs with loggage and child's trolley. The kitchen was not clean enough to use it and we ate mostly outside.
The wash machine
The location and the poor facility
Location is very good.
When we come to this apartment, we found the quilt in the bed was not clean and ealicy can identified that they were used by previous guests and not changed. There were no bath towel changed and room cleaned. Btw, the most terriable thing is the lock of the door is bad and no one notice us and we found it out by chance. The 2 lamps in the bedroom also bad. Poor facility. The owner is Pakistani.
The location was okay.
The rooms weren't clean. The toilet had tissues in it when I got there. The furnishings all look very old and worn. The bed linen had stains on it. The bed linen wasn't ironed. The block wasn't pleasant and was noisy.
The position of the apartment is good. Near the castle and just next to the royal mail.
Location, size, amenities
Basically non existent staff
very good location
not enough toilet paper and washing up liquid - had to ask for more, no pans to cook with (only one pot)
Location was amazing
Old food in fridge which was also dirty, microwave was dirty. Four flights of stone steps with no lift was not ideal.
the location is really great. The owner is very kind and helpful and his shop assisted us in having quick stuffs for breakfast.
Unfortunately pillowcases and beddings were not ironed nor neat. We had doubts if they were washed......
Location was excellent. Right on high street. Owner was extremely nice and accommodating. We will use them again.
Owners were very helpful - allowed us to check in early so that we had time to get ready for the event that we were attending.
A long climb to our fourth floor apartment, but I realise that this can't be avoided when staying in such an historic area/building.
The towels were ripped and very worn. The toilet cistern wouldn't refill. Old used soap on the bathroom. Questionable if sheets and bedding had been cleaned. Luggage service upon checkout was contained in the storeroom of a convenience store without any security. Terrible value for money!
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location bang in the middle of princes street and royal mile so everything easy to access. Flat had everything we needed - cooking equipment, towels etc.
Although the bedding was clean it was very creased/not ironed. I could be picky and say that there was a heap of dust on light fittings and door surrounds/ cornices/ skirtings were also quite dirty. Some of the fixtures and fittings were worn or broken (curtain pole bent). But on the whole it was very good for a budget apartment.
quiet bed comfortable spacious
poor safety standards lack of equipment poor finish to flat mistakes in directions/instructions
The scene..you can enjoy the view of Edinburgh Castle from your bedroom
I don't have any dislike, its perfect!
Quite clean, lots of space, location couldn't be better
Water from the ceiling; shower not working; no lift
Not a lot.
The place was filthy with the carpet having fluff all over it, balls of dust sitting in the corners of the hard surfaces and black curly hairs behind the bathroom door. Even after requesting a clean, the black curly hairs remained in the bathroom. Entrance is up a dirty, narrow winding staircase of around 70 steps. We were kept awake until around 5:00am by the brawls and drunken carousing in the High Street. Parking is a good way away (the staff at key collection didn't know wher the closest one was). There was only one set of keys for 2 couples so separate excursions weren't possible. The list continues!!!
