We had a care and found this locaation to be convienient to all other sites around; all services were top notch; pleasant setting altho quite old, very charming and clean; friendly and helpful staff. There are tour services in town and buses that run between towns.
Bed comforter was too heavy, but they gave us a lighter sheet; found this to be consistent in all places we stayed except one B&B.
Excellent location over looking the estuary.
Food very poor- no menu's set out for breakfast - choice poor. No encouragement given to order fish or poached eggs etc. Evening meal very bland. Hotel interior looked very tired and in need of updating. Bedroom carpet was filthy & required a good clean. Very disappointed - wouldn't stay here again.
Staff very friendly and helpful
loved Beaumaris and the history of this area. A real treat to be able to walk out one entrance and cross to water, the other and be on the busy main street. Everything in walking distance. Grand old, is somewhat worn, hotel.
room location was over the street. If we had known there was the seaside option, would have requested it, especially staying more than one night. Breakfast was not up to standard at all the 1st day- better the 2nd. Pub food was good -
nice position in an interesting old town, fronting on the main street, and backing onto the seafront. there was a wedding reception in progress so was very busy, and parking was a bit tight. we were not disturbed by any noise overnight. Good food, a very pleasant stay
breakfast was very good loved the dining room
evening dinner big let down. Would not be tempted back for dinner. With a bit improvement food wise should be a lovely venue.
Room was large and comfortable, slept well (don't normally), hotel a bit dated and old fashioned, but enjoyed my stay.
You need to get into breakfast early if a bus trip is in, as they go through the breakfast buffet like a swarm of locusts. Car parking was difficult on the Friday due to a wedding party.
Location and friendly staff
Door closer need adjusting on bedrooms so they do not keep banging when closing and waking us up at night. Some attention needed in the decorations (wall paper and ceiling moulds) in common areas
The staff were in general very helpful. When I explained that I had had a bad nights sleep due to the very hard mattress they immediately changed the mattress for a memory foam which was fine. The food was good as was the service.
Initially the very hard mattress and pillows. Being unable to get a sandwich after 2.30 which meant having to go out.
Location, food, comfort,
Wonderful view from our seaview room. Good breakfast and high standards.
Some noise from next room but we did have a locked connecting door so maybe that was the cause.
We had an upgrade which provided a comfortable suite with a fantastic view of the Menai straits and the Snowdonian range. We had a dog with us and we were allowed in public rooms. The hotel has a 'beat' of its own, almost a step back it time, and the hotel staff were most helpful. Excellent cooked breakfasts.
The bath hot water tap leaked very hot water, beware when taking a shower. I thought the evening meals were pricey but the quality average.
Great location , fantastic views, traditional comfort, good service - seaside couldn't be better...
Good location, clean refurbished room, like the buffet breakfast.
Shower was a little more than a dribble
Location Sea view Food: breakfast and bistro dinner Friendly, efficient staff
Through-doors to adjacent room not sound-insulated. It would be fair to those booking to point out that hotel's parking space may be under pressure - but ample space is available near the hotel.
uncomfortable beds dated rooms anything but classy
The friendly staff and their willingness to assist when asked. The location of the hotel and the position of the rooms we had gave us a lovely view over the Menai. Atmosphere in the hotel is very relaxed and friendly.
No glasses in the room other than plastic cups for bathroom use. No fridge, although there was a space for one. No bottled water. (would expect all three in a hotel of this rating).
Perfect location and staff very helpful and accommodating. Yummy breakfast and fab evening meal in the bistro. Child friendly.
Room a bit dated and mattress very uncomfortable but the staff soon rectified this for us. And the sea view was lovely.
Tired decor 80's Peach bath & sink, Not like the l.e.d light bath in the advertisement pics. Plumbing was making noise all night. wafer thin party doors, in which you can hear everything next door is saying. Broken floor tiles in the reception/restaurant area. creaking floorboards.. large cracks in the ceiling. Dangerous shower mixer with no hot water temp shut off. could easily burn you & especially young children. The owners of this hotel need to put the high fee's they charge towards updating the versatility. Not recommended.
The position is excellent with fine sea views. Service was good and our stay was very pleasant.
There is still a need for some redecoration on parts.
Potentially lovely hotel in need of some decorative TLC. Our room next had a very large hole in it and a bathroom in need of upgrading. As it stands it is expensive for the quality. Outstanding location.
The staff members were very helpful and attentive-no complaints at all. The food was very good and we had a most enjoyable stay.We will.hopefully, come again.
All was satisfactory-maybe the weather could have been a little kinder!
excellent location/staff on reception first class/great atmosphere wonderful views from bedroom/child and pet friendly
Only 1 barperson on so 10 minute wait to order drinks
Room was fantastic. Ordered a larger bed and got an en-suit
Plumbing left a lot you've desired, bath tap leaked hot water and kept singing. Shower was a mere trickle.
