This charming Georgian town house is set within 5 minutes’ walk of the town and medieval Beaumaris Castle. It has free parking, and the bright, traditionally decorated rooms have free WiFi.
Score from 115 reviews Exceptional
With a spectacular seafront location a short walk from the center of town, this hotel is located next to Venue Cymru (North Wales Theatre and Conference Centre).
Score from 143 reviews Very good
My very short stay at The Bulkeley was very enjoyable in every way. I am already looking forward to my next visit.
Four poster bed Sea view Two armchairs in bedroom
No safety grab rails over bath Very poor over-bath shower
Location and views. Architecture and history.
During my visit parking was affected by ongoing maintenance work.
Friendly, helpful staff.
beds doggy hair
Well established older style hotel in a very good town centre position; by the sea. Friendly efficient staff. No fuss or nonsense, privacy 100%. Everything straight forward.
Currently undergoing some out of season interior refurbishment; with workmen and daytime resultant noise. Car park under extention. Very noisy generator switched on at 6.15am .
Very friendly and helpful staff
The hotel is a lovely environment in fact it was our 3 rd visit..
The bathroom was dated I could not have a decent shower and left after our second night without a shower and my partner opted to try the bath instead but at 6ft 2 too small!
the location and free high speed wi fi
The food was horrible - ended up eating none of it. The whole hotel is dated and shabby.
No fuss about our dog Ivy, she was allowed in the lounge with us as well as in our room.
Bulkeley hotel is a lovely old building, with some fabulous old furniture, but is looking a little tired
Excellent positioning in a nice little town
The hotel feels dated and could do with some refurbishment
Location Beaumaris is very good for sightseeing either side of the island This hotel was in a lovely position bedrooms spacious and quiet would go again The staff always very helpfull
Staff very friendly and welcoming
The whole place looks tired and shabby
staff, food, room, location, I am a happy regular here as have family and friends locally
I ordered a bottle of wine in advance for the room, I assume it went on the computer as i was billed for it when leaving. It didn't arrive, so maybe some staff don't check their computers? what happened to good old fashioned word of mouth?
It was very clean staff were nice food was excellent. In a lovely position next to sea
The room and see view , beautiful rooms
Idea location. Hotel old but full of character. Weather was very good for time of year which always adds to the overall pleasure of the stay. If weather had been bad then not very much to do in the area.
Room was good and in general pleasant given the age and character of the building, but bathroom looked drab and very dated.
Beautiful location and a characterful building. Good parking and great access to stunning landscapes and views.
Decor and facilities all a bit tired and dated. Staff were efficient enough but not the most welcoming. Having booked online we got allocated pretty poor rooms. Not inclined to return.
Fabulous location right on the coast, next door to the castle. A big , old non chain.....made a change.
Insufficient, cramped parking.....
Great location and friendly staff
Rooms on the front are noisy and far too warm even with the heating off. Creaking floors, noisy pipes and doors slamming kept us awake each night. Pillows were some of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on.
Staff were very helpful and worked very hard
Very good food and breakfast was hot! Great staff
The bathroom in room 207 . Very tired .
Ease of booking, welcome at reception for people and dogs, comfort of room and excellent bathroom, delicious food in restaurant and bistro, relaxing by fire in lounge, friendliness of staff.
Excessive heat in bedroom due to fixed heat radiator and location over CH boiler. Learned afterwards could have requested cooling fan!!
The friendliness of all staff we encounted .
The car parking was a bit chaotic looking at the photo of the hotel I didn't expect any problems in parking (was soon sorted). How the photographer managed to make it look massive is a mystery to me
