Great location, staff were very welcoming and attentive, food was good.
Bathroom getting a bit dated, some public area decor also could be refreshed.
Everything about my stay from arrival to departure was a great experience. The hotel is very welcoming and very comfortable surroundings.
Could not access the Wi-Fi.
So quiet and relaxing. Both breakfast and dinner was great, and having coffee or tea in the lounge was really a nice experience. The staff was really friendly.
Staff were second to none even throughout the storm and subsequent power cut Food and dining experience was excellent and possibly the best we've both tasted
Bathroom was a little dated and could have accommodated a separate shower.
Friendly staff..as some food
Beautiful building in a lovely location, my room, Ardfern, was amazing though be aware there is rather a lot of stairs in this hotel, it had the biggest bathroom of any hotel room i've ever stayed in. Room had not one but two window seats, comfy sofa, huge bed. I stayed mainly in my room as was struggling with a cold so the large TV and huge choice of channels was appreciated (not something I would normally bother with). Breakfast was excellent in a stunning room with open fire roaring away, twinkly lights around the window looking out on most amazing view.
Was told dinner was until 9pm, had a nap as felling ill went down just after 8.30, dinner menu moved from outside room asked staff and was told dinner had finished! Wasn't well enough to go out for dinner so went hungry that night - need to be clearer on meal times!!!!!!!
Everything was wonderful
There was nothing not to like
The rooms Restaurant Location Style Price Friendly staff Atmosphere
I only stayed one night!!!! Menu for dinner was a little too high class for me. (wasn't my kind of food) - Something continental should always be on offer.
Great value for money, large rooms, period fittings.
Staff were excellent, décor lovely, room clean and comfortable. Wonderful silver service food. Beautiful views over the Firth.
Dried out Bacon for breakfast every day. Price of basic wines was prohibitive and wasn't told that Mineral water was £4.50 a bottle, it was just put on the table.
Old style home steeped in history. Staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Food was magnificent. Estate isolated from civilization yet 10 minutes from downtown Inverness.
Cannot think of anything
The whole feel was relaxed and classy!
Bed a wee bit hard
Warmth and the log fire, reliable wifi, staff were very friendly and helpful, spacious room, beautifully set breakfast, lots of hot water, everything we could possibly need!
The fact that we were not there for long enough and that it was a business trip so didn't get time to walk in the grounds!
everything, just wish had stayed for longer an absolute gem of a place, food to die for.
Breakfast, landscapes, room facilities, everything I can imagine is immaculate. Really enjoyed sitting near the fireplace in the lounge.
Love the relaxing ambiance in the lounge with open fire, the service was excellent !!
Shame the restaurant opening hours were so limited .
Hotel, staff and food all excellent.
Nothing - everything about the hotel was first class.
What a fabulous hotel. The location, staff, food and our hotel room were all superb!
Period charm of the place. Dinner and breakfast were excellent quality. Spacious grounds with centuries old trees.
Our Fraser suite was a little tired, the carpet should be replaced, wallpaper by the desk was torn.
location excellent . entrance needs a revamp which i am told is going to happen within the next few months, quietness was excellent breakfast was 10 out of 10 staff was very nice . got a tour of the turret from a very nice lady just before we left which was very nice .our room was quiet but the radiator did not work ,that was ok for us because we did not need it ,i hope to go back ,i loved the place.James from Fraserburgh.
The old windows would be very cold on a windy night
The staff were very friendly and helpful meal was lovely and a lovely location
Thought the beers were a bit overpriced but other than that no complaints
Very nice hotel staff excellent would stay again
