Score from 42 reviews
“ We felt that nothing was too much for the staff ... everyone who worked there appeared to be kind, respectful, clean, attentive, well trained and well managed ... also with just the right balance of these service qualities so as not to be too intrusive ... very impressive. We loved the location and hope to go back again before the end of the summer. ”

Hotel was very comfy, the room was clean and reception service was very good Main evening meal was very poor, starter was fab, but the main course was of a very poor quality and was very expensive for the quality of the food

The breakfast was good and the room nice and quiet with a nice view over the gardens. We stayed here as were going to a wedding reception locally, so wouldn't necessarily recommend this hotel other than for business, or for a wedding reception. There were 2 going on the evening we were there. The shower did not work....it was a very slow trickle that went absolutely no where near your body standing underneath it! Very disappointing. It was obviously an ongoing problem as the wooden bath panel was very warped and water damaged as even though the water was not coming out of the shower head, it was leaking out the side of the bath. Not good value for money, and certainly didn't live up to expectations.

Loved the general layout and setting of the place. Very luxurious and homely When outside you can hear the motorway which is unfortunate, due to location.

The situation close to beautiful Box Hill. Staff were helpful. Bedroom OK but we like 6ft wide double beds and the hotel doesn't have any. Bathroom rather small.

Stayed one night as part of wedding party - fantastic venue, great customer service, would highly recommend. Receptionist and breakfast staff friendly and professional. Had the pleasure of meeting the Burford Bridge resident cat.

Great old building, hardly saw anyone else so very private. Nice breakfast, great countryside around. I was on business but a walking and countryside stay would be nice. Last minute booking was very expensive (over 130 a night) for what it was. Food was way too expensive. Our work team dined in once (on the cheaper menu) but traveled elsewhere for dinner on other nights as £29 for a main course is far too expensive and around £5 for a beer in the bar is also too steep. There were mostly business people mid-week so a gym would be good.

The staff was most helpful and the room service staff was excellent and very accomodating with my requests. I attended a wedding when I was there and the staff did a wonderful job with the wedding area and the reception. The food was good, especially the breakfast buffet. There was no lift! I did not realize when I booked and it was a problem for me with a recent leg injury. My room was extremely cold and drafty. I could not seem to get warm. It took the heater a very long time to heat the room. I also felt that the shower/tub combination was very dangerous as the tub was very high and hard to maneuver around.

Nothing whatsoever. Unhelpful pushy and unfriendly staff. Extremely limited food choices. Old fashioned and in need of a serious makeover.

Ratings above are based in their 'sister hotel' several miles away, which is where they sent me instead. That hotel is in serious need of refurbishment. On my way to the hotel I called to reserve a table for dinner, only to find that they had decided to move my reservation to a different hotel some miles away, which was of markedly poorer quality. They had made no attempt to contact me about this, had I not called I would only have found out on arrival at 9:30pm. As the rest of my party were still booked into the Burford Bridge, this was a major inconvenience. We ended up all at the other hotel, which was old and tired. It had also stopped serving dinner so we had to go out to eat having just arrived off a plane. We booked into the Burford Bridge to have a relaxing evening after the stress I moving house from Italy, instead it ended up making things worse.

Kleine maar goede kamers . Goede locatie. De herrie van de feesten en partijen tot diep in de nacht. ook stormden feestgangers direct van de feestzaal de eetzaal binnen. Afsluiten die deuren.
