The staff were friendly and helpful. There is free wi-fi in the hotel. There were no proper baby seats in the restaurant, the shower was very difficult to get into and it is on a busy road so in summer there would be a problem opening windows. |

Good location, well kept hotel and grounds, staff very efficient and friendly, good breakfast choice and excellent service. Probably the only downside was that it was on a main road and we could hear the traffic during the night. |

The hotel is well placed to explore the cotswolds. The rooms are not large but comfortable and has the benifit of the lounge area down stairs. The rooms are serviced each day and very clean. We dinned both nights at the hotel and each night was great with helpfull staff.Would stay again. |

Close proximity to Burford, large car park, easy to find, option of evening meal if required. Nicely furnished and presentation following the Victorian theme. Iron bedstead needed bolts tightening to stop squeak! Found bath difficult to get out of in Brunston room, (but elderly.) Waitress and hotel desk was busy as manned by the same person, |

We liked the friendliness of the staff and the non-chain feel to the hotel. The chef produced well cooked and interesting dishes. The semi-open plan of the dining room/lounge/bar area works really well. The lack of good white table-cloths was a shame. They would have made a big big difference to the feel of the dining room. The fruit juices and some of the ingredients for breakfast appeared low quality. (thin orange juice, sliced supermarket toast, dull sausages etc). The proximity to the main road could have been mitigated by a two foot fence on top of the existing wall (for seated diners) and some attention to the garden. |

My partner enjoyed her evening meal - I was not with her and did not eat in either evening. We both felt that the 4* claimed on the Website through which we booked could not be correct. 3* maybe. Also lack of aircon meant windows had to remain open and the traffic noise until the early hours is pretty bad. |

We liked the bar facilities and the outside seating area. The room was too hot. The windows need upgrading. The price was much higher compared to others in the area. If it was not for the fact that this was a last minute booking we would have stayed elsewhere |

Uncomfortable mattress (did not sleep a wink). TV on top of the cupboard with no remote. Bath pathetic. Breakfast hopeless -cheese omelette was inedible. Curtain fell off the rail when I opened it in the morning.Reminded me of Fawlty Towers. |

The bed was ok but it took up nearly the whole room. The room was dark, dismal, dour, depressing, with a small 15 inch TV with a bad signal. No TV or proper area downstairs to sit and relax. Breakfast from 8.30 to 10am. No secutity at night, someone could walk into the hotel via a seperate door and get to your bedroom, which had stupid locks that required a lock smith to know if they were open or closed. |

The check in was efficient, easter eggs on the bed was a nice touch.Breakfast was pretty good. The room was very small and should have been about half the price we paid. The bath was ridiculously small, totally pointless- may as well just installed a shower.Room suffered from road noise all night. Breakfast staff was surly and clearly didn't want to be there. Door lock jammed twice and left us locked out of our room the second time was at 11pm. |

Due to Cheltenham races could not get in at the hotel of my choice. Would have been nice just to have a kettle and tea bags, a decent TV with SKY or NTL. |
