Staff, good breakfast comfortable bed, quiet
Great place to stay, very friendly. I will be back....
Great location, friendly staff, room was comfortable and clean. Ample free parking
Having to order breakfast by 10.00pm the night before and saying exactly what you want. No dining facilities in the evening.
I only stayed one night having had to pay for two
The prop rioters have little concern for guests. The room we were given was second floor attic (having paid £140, not a cheap rate offer that is available) which was very noisy. At breakfast there was no heating in the bar which left us extremely cold. (Supported by cleaner). When we requested a room change we were told none available). Unbelievable when there were only two others staying at the time. No sympathy from owners so I left after one night still being made to pay for two. I can have little faith in ' Booking.com as long as you support premises like this.
Location , & parking .
Twin beds need to be 3ft wide & not 2ft 6 as not comfortable for adults . Sausages should be local & minimum 90% meat , & local sourced eggs, & bacon . As there is a lovely butchers in the village selling all these products . Needs some atmosphere
poor quality breakfast
I had to book these rooms at very short notice for two of our clients who were here from New Zealand. They were delighted with the hotel facilities and said the staff were very friendly and efficient and would certainly stay there on there next visit, it is also very close to Burford which is the gateway to the Cotswolds.
Nice comfy room, breakfast very good staff very helpful and friendly
Traffic noise as hotel is on the very busy A40 have to cross this road to go into Burford
The property was clean, and very quiet when you consider it is situated right next to the A40. The staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely relaxed atmosphere - just what was needed. We left feeling our holiday break had already started. Excellent value for money.
Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Free Wifi.
Heating didn't work. Shower riser didn't work.
Old world charm with up to date facilities. Good size room with very comfortable 4 poster bed. Excellent breakfast. Very courteous and friendly staff. Good location for access to Burford centre. Great for getaway.
Friendly attentive staff Lovely rooms, nicely decorated Good breakfast
Wifi didn't work in room but to be fair, I didn't follow it up with the staff
Good mattress Stylish decor Excellent service Spotlessly clean
cosy room good choice of breakfast friendly staff comfy bed
Shower a bit grubby
breakfast!! four poster bed!!!
We had the junior suite which was lovley. Very spacious nicely decorated and huge bathroom. We were not disturbed by road noise at all. Staff very friendly enjoyed our weekend break hotel with character.
Nothing at all
hotel, staff and breakfast were very good also ideal location.
bathroom in oxford room the shower needs fixing asap. I don't expect to have to stand and hold the shower in my hand. also we got wet feet every time we went in the bathroom, the tiles when you pressed down on them water came up through the grout. Not Good
Location was very good with Burford town being a short walk away. The breakfast was substantial and very tasty.
Not the friendliest of welcome; no help with our bags and definitely not what I had expected from previous reviews. Would definitely put me off from staying again.
Good breakfast Comfortable Bed Plenty of parking
Very helpful & excellent service from staff. Good breakfast, lovely room but especially very comfortable bed. The best bed in any hotel I have ever stayed at. Perfect accommodation.
Nothing, everything perfect.
As this was our honeymoon we booked the room with the four poster room with spa bath and optic mood lights. This was the most expensive room in the hotel. Not value for money at all. Half the jets didnt work in the bath and there were no optic lights. We asked the manager and he said there were no lights booking.com had made an error. When asked about the jets he checked them and said it needed a new pump. The bar was empty and no food was available only breakfast. Breakfast was lovely. The bedroom could do with a thorough clean inc under bed. We did get £20 taken off the bill but 2 nights still cost £160.
The room - Junior Suite Breakfast
Road noise Lack of evening meals
Clean and nicely decorated
The bed was really uncomfortable with one side so soft you nearly Fell out of it The iron bed frame also creaked which was a great combination
Very warm & friendly welcome. Wonderful crisp white cotton bedding including duvet covers. Surpringly quiet despite being on a noisy, busy road.
Minor gripe - Breakfast didn't start until 8.00, maybe 7.30 would be more convenient.
very friendly staff comfortable seating in bar easy to find with a good car park good breakfast
nothing to mention
