very dated needed total refubishment ,room smelt of the elderly
staff friendly, food good, Room clean although it was not vacumed daily,in fact not for the three days we were there.
No draught beer, drinks seemed a bit expensive.
The bed was really comfortable and the sheets were clean. The bathroom was also clean.
The finishing touches - nets need to be washed, ensure surfaces are dusted and lights working, biscuits with coffee in the room, towels that are not wearing thin, ourside areas that rooms look out on to maintained and magazines in the foyer to make it more inviting.
Position near local shops and restaurants, bus stops. Short walk to sea. Spacious comfy lounge. Ample free parking.
Bathroom needs updating. Rust and stains showing and hand mixer shower was a difficult to adjust dribble.
Could not fault the service or the facillities
The fact I had to pay extra for breakfast and then the price
Close to city center & beach , friendly hotel
Me and my girlfriend wanted to get away from boring old southampton and so we booked this hotel, The rooms are extremely spacious, and by far exceeded our expectations from what we were used to in the past ... 5star service Could ask for anything better
Good price, decent breakfast, good location
No hot water
not too far from the sea and town.
not given a friendly welcome. Room fittings and décor was tired. Tiny shower. One bedside light at only one end of bed. A light bulb that did not work. Room not cleaned to a good standard. Shower difficult to work and leaked. Car park spaces were too small for most modern cars and at the wrong angle. The glass entrance doors were heavy and not child friendly. Our child had an accident and was knocked over by them. There was a gap without glass towards the reception which was confusing. Simple automatic glass doors at the main entrance would have been better. Breakfast was not included in our booking which we thought it was and should have been for the price. Poor value.
Added a special request for a bouquet of flowers and a happy anniversary note to be waiting in the room as a surprise, this was carried out and made my partner extremely happy. Lovely hotel, far exceeding our expectations and great value for money
Good location Clean Staff seem
Bathroom was small that the sink had to be in the main room next to the tv. You basically have to step over loo to get out of the shower. Hotel was very run down looking in general
location, friendly staff
dark hallways, shower was rubbish. expensive for 1 night!
This was me and my girlfriends first holiday together and our experience at Burley Court Hotel helped to make it an awesome holiday. Location, right on the main road into Bournemouth,5 mins from the beach (ideal for the Air Show) and the town centre, good car park. Didn't need to use the car all week. Bus Stop right outside running every 3 mins. Really friendly staff and very helpful. Very nice room, really clean and a good size and daily house keeping. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a problem free, very well priced hotel in Bournemouth with a great location. The town is so close and full of very nice restaurants and bars
Shower on the bath wasn't very good. Mattress was quite hard.
Location was great for centre of Bournemouth and easy walk to the beach. Great direct bus route outside hotel to Poole. Swimming pool was a real treat for our young relative who loved swimming as soon as it opened at 8am.
the location was very good plesant helpful staff communial area nice
the old carpet in the bathroom has a very unplesant smell coming from around the toilet even after a shampoo the smell returned as soon as the carpet dried no window & barley enough room to get in and close the door
I would recommend this excellent hotel, for its cleanliness, good food, and its décor on approach to the reception and lounge area, the owner mr.luke hasker and staff were willing to co-operate at all times the hotel is nicely situated to all area's of bournemouth
everything was satisfactory
Close to the city centre and 5 mins walking distance from the seaside. Nice garden with pool. Friendly staff.
Lovely warm rooms
Found a few peanuts on the floor and some sort of peach seeds in the bathroom.
location, parking , easy reach to shops
swiming pool was too cold.
clean and simple
hot water was not available late in night in the bath
The two girls who served breakfast, were very polite, made sure we had enough toast tea/coffee. Although foreign they were easy to understand. Nice to have sun loungers and cushions at the pool area.
Be it on the cheaper end of the scale when searching, the hotel could do with some modernisation. Our room had an iron mark on the carpet, cups did not match, water left in the kettle. Definitely not a power shower!!! Furnishings dated. Missing coat hangers in the wardrobe. The paving slabs around the pool area need some TLC. This hotel has the potential to be something special, good location to the BIC, beach and Pavillion, just needs some Love.
Good location, beach is walking distance, shops and restaurants are very close to the hotel After very long walks we was exhausted so we had decided to catch the taxi back to the hotel from the beach it only cost us £4 Main strip for night life and restaurants is only a minute walk. Room and bathroom was spacious, the hotel itself is big and spacious. Swimming pool look lovely and big but unfortunately it was to cold to get into.
Poor customer service from all the females who done Duty on reception. One was on her mobile phone and the others had bad attitude. There was dust everywhere in the hotel. The room my sister stayed in- only half the room was hoovered. The other half was left with hair all on the floor. There was no towels. So I had to run up to her room and take her one, as she only noticed after she came out of the show. The rooms are very dated and most definitely needs updating. Maybe a little bit of paint and clean tiles along with a new toilet roll holder which was broken and kept falling on the floor. The bathroom absolutely stunk of urine. I sent an email with my concerns but only got as a response was an apology and stating that action will be taken against the receptionists, but no offer of any type of compensation for a stay at a reduced rate or a refund for what we spent on two rooms.
Flimsy bed, dirty windows, no shower towels, unfriendly staff.
Hard working friendly staff. Beautiful gardens to Sit in. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Ideal location.
Room not as big as I expected for a 4 star hotel
There's a lot of things regarding this hotel that are negative. Starting with the reception area- we were greeted by a gentleman who just gave us the key and didn't tell us where anything was in the hotel which I thought was bad customer service right there- upon entering the room it was very dated plus looked like it hadn't been cleaned for us. Upon complaining I was handed bleach for the bath room and told to clean the room myself. There were bugs and spiders in the bathroom and in the towels- when I requested new towels I was refused! And apparently it wasn't a shock that there were bugs! After complaining around 5 times on the first day we were finally moved in the morning. The second room wasn't really any better- the hot water didn't work so after my friend got burned with the water we were only left with freezing cold water. We were only using the room to wash and sleep in so we felt that as we were really being ignored there was really no point in trying to reason with the staff. If your looking for a cheap break away then this is a steal- but you must accept you get what you pay for.. Bad customer service and a filthy room.
