Staff welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Room spacious and clean. Good selection at breakfast, adequate proportions and well cooked.
Location was good
Lack of lighting in the room
Lack of wi Fi
Pleasant staffs. Good value for money. It's a budget hotel so do not expect Ritz Carlton. So, my personal view could not get better for the money paid. Some hotels you will pay a lot and you will get the same things. Very helpful personels
None. For the amount we paid for a roof over over for the night, I can't complain. Very fair.
easy parking, good breakfast, friendly staff . good value
During our week's stay the staff have been, without exception, very pleasant and helpful. The location is brilliant, being just a couple of hundred yards walk to the cliffs and path down to the seafront and, in the other direction to all the restaurants on the Old Christchurch Road. The centre of town is also just a short walk and there is plenty of parking in front of the hotel. Lovely lounge and restaurant. I'd definitely recommend Burley Court Hotel.
The bathroom was a 70s throw back avocado bathroom suit with matching tiles with very poor shower pressure
I THINK THE BEST FEATURE THIS HOTEL HAS IS ITS LOCATION. JUST FIVE MINUTES AWAY FROM THE TRAIN STATION. IT VERY EASY TO GET THERE.
I DIDN'T LIKE THE FACT THAT WIFI WAS ONLY AVAILABLE AT THE LOBBY. ALSO, I WAS LOCATED ON THE GROUND FLOOR AND I COULD HEAR WHATEVER WAS GOING ON ON THE FIRST FLOOR. THE HAIR DRYER, THE TELEPHONE, AND THE ELECTRIC KETTLE SEEMED TO HAVE BELONGED TO ELIZABETH I.
Location, room was great, spacious, everything needed
Room very dirty Breakfast basic unwelcoming staff Shower did not work Badly stained carpet and bed linen Hotel looks as if it needs a complete update
location was good
rooms were dirty. receptionist promissed to clean after complaining but never did. very noisey, can here people talking in rooms above plus sqeeky floors. Not very good for £100 per night
We liked the location of the hotel. It was very close to the beach and main strip of shops, and was very easy to get around without using a car.
The staff were very cold and unfriendly. They did not welcome us and seemed very suspicious of why we were there. The female receptionist watched wherever we went in the corridor, said room service was not available despite it still being within the designated time, and would sit at the window and watch what we were getting out of the car. We felt like we were not welcome here. The room was also dusty and dirty. There was dust all over the headboard of the bed and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. There were also so small flies everywhere in the room, despite the windows remaining closed. We were not even able to eat a packet of crisps without flies flying around us. Also found two dead flies squashed between the bed sheets.
We could not point to any thing about the Hotel worth praise, and since it is in a superb position, on main bus route with a three minute service to most destinations it is in a perfect location.
Poor standard of room service & cleanliness. full English breakfast at least three items missing. Bar never staffed and we found the shutters down at 10.30 p.m. on our first night. reception staff most unhelpful.
Nothing good from my experience
From booking this hotel which I thought I was only securing the rooms so I could cancel if need be I found out the hotel had instantly took payment and I i cancelled it would cost me £100 which the rooms cost £200 when I phoned to complain about this matter i was told the duty manager was not in but will be here a 4pm and will call me still waiting so we had no choise but to go as we arrived reception was not that welcoming we had to find our room and when we did it was like a through back to 1960 nothing modern bathroom was out of date the shower only long enough to go waist height so this hotel need updating a lot and avoid and get better value elsewhere I won't be going back here
Value for money and closeness to town and BIC
Room was quite dated, but clean, that's the main thing
Location, only 15 minutes drive to airport, friendly receptionist, enough car park, close to the restaurants plenty of place around to eat,not far from beach, spacious room, laid back feeling, good comfortable hotel
wifi not working in the rooms, had to slam the door which can be very noise woken up couple of times by other guest who arrived or gone otherwise no other problems
staff at breakfast breakfast very poor
Very old room and furnishings.
Pleasant staff with good choice of breakfast well cooked
Carpet in bedroom very grubby and bed made terrible noise every time we moved.
very dated needed total refubishment ,room smelt of the elderly
staff friendly, food good, Room clean although it was not vacumed daily,in fact not for the three days we were there.
No draught beer, drinks seemed a bit expensive.
The charge for room service was ridiculous.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good with car parking.
The bedroom was very dated and tired, the bed mattress was uncomfortable because the springs protruded through. The bed sheet was torn. The bathroom was dirty and had mildew in the shower. Breakfast was ok but not great quality but the price we paid £114 for 1 night was far too expensive for the poor quality offered by this hotel. A great shame.
The bed was really comfortable and the sheets were clean. The bathroom was also clean.
The finishing touches - nets need to be washed, ensure surfaces are dusted and lights working, biscuits with coffee in the room, towels that are not wearing thin, ourside areas that rooms look out on to maintained and magazines in the foyer to make it more inviting.
Dirty rooms, mould on walls filthy carpet with stains, bed had a piece of foam on top of mattress !!! That was room 9 moved to room 10 cleaner but beds awful sagging mattress on both beds. I have stayed in better in a developing country for cheaper
