We liked the old manorial house, plenty of atmosphere. Our room was good and we liked the antique style of furniture. Fabulous position for exploring the forest. Especially liked the three yellow ducks in our bathroom!!! |

Very nice setting and the main building looks quite grand. Room was clean. The 'shower' in our room was knee height so had to sit down in the bath to shower! |

The setting is stunning. Our premium room in the extension was noisy - walls thin and not up to premium room standard - the room furniture had seen better days but the main hotel area was comfortable and charming. Breakfast was average. The comment on the website 'faded charm' and that is about the case for the main building but to get to the annex rooms you had to walk past the kitchens and laundry and store rooms. |

I liked the size of the room. The location was very good. Bed was very comfortable. There was a wedding reception taking place during our stay and the music was so loud you could clearly hear it over the television in the room, even though our room was a reasonable distance from the wedding reception location. We appreciate the wedding bookings are a large income for the hotel but for us as non wedding guests found the volume of the music which granted stopped at midnight very intrusive. As we booked on line we were unaware of the above. The hotel receptionist said we should have been informed when we booked. If we were informed we would have booked another hotel. |

The setting was lovely and it was conveniently placed for seeing the New Forest. The staff were delightful. It was totally focused on weddings to the detrement of other staff. The decor was shabby with the 'cosy' rooms being ridiculously small. The food was uninspired and expensive |
