Location Pleasant lounge, dining room breakfasts easy parking
cost of drinks evening meal expensive general decor needs updating (had a large stain on the bedroom wall)
THE STAFF WERE VERY GOOD. FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AND THE GROUNDS ARE LOVELY
BED WAS SO HARD THAT IT HURT YOUR HIPS IF YOU TURNED OVER. ROOM A BIT BASIC AND SOME OF THE HOTEL A BIT TIERD
we loved everything, so warm and welcoming. The room had the most fantastic view.
-The view was wondeful -Grazing deer beautiful -Architecture of the hotel outside -Location in village
-Some reception staff unhelpful and lacked enthusiasm or welcome -Interior very dated and in need of modernisation, as looks tired and unkempt -Room very dirty (mouldy curtains, ripped wallpaper, damp patches, rust in bathroom, dusty headboard, stained carpet, dirty surfaces) to the extent we had to clean room ourselves -Shower temperature and pressure unreliable -Hotel lacked vegetarian options -Vibe in general wasn't welcoming or comfortable
Beautiful setting. Very peaceful
Had a very, very long wait for our cooked breakfast. Wouldn't have minded so much if we had been brought a pot of tea soon after we arrived but that only arrived with the cooked breakfast.
Location, food, cleanliness, service, friendliness, comfort, welcome all excellent
Looking very "tired" in places. Curtains tatty, in need of redecoration, carpets worn, although we were informed that refurbishment is due soon. Would have like to have seen cloths on dinner tables. Our room obviously had had some parts renewed. But it wouldn't stop us coming again.
Staff were good especially the new Assistant manager who was most helpful
The whole place looks old and tired with threadbare carpets and rooms that had seen better days. The evening meal was appalling.
Location was amazing and beautiful, the staff were extremely friendly, food was great, room and ensuite were very spacious and comfortable. good value for money, we will be returning again soon x thank you xx
Going home :-) well done to you all at Burley manor x
food was excellent, room was very spacious ,excellent views out of both windowa.
room needed updating, shower needed updating, windows and window sills needed cleaning,
Location, country house style and friendly staff. nice room with view
a little tired decoration in public area's
Location, grounds, very good breakfast, front of house, breakfast room
Rooms in need of serious renovation, including bathrooms, staff smoking and yelling at one another at front entrance was a daily occurrence.
The relaxed atmosphere. Service was very good. We had an evening meal which was very good and the serving staff friendly and professional. The cleanliness in the bathroom was lacking but otherwise ok. The condition of the decor is tired and needs attention. We would recommend this hotel on the grounds that we were made very welcome and felt comfortable.
room size/facilities/helpfulness of staff.
shabby decor, cig butts on balcony.
It was raining and damp cold couldn't put heating on
Staff were really friendly and we felt comfortable as soon as we checked in to the Burley Manor Hotel. Location was great. Choices on the breakfast menu were really good.
Disappointed with vegetables served with our evening meal. Lack of variety.
Location Manor house building
Room refurbished - in 1901 Food not great (breakfast)
The location of the hotel, set in parkland, was calming and peaceful. Beautiful grounds and outlook. Lovely comfortable beds. Efficient staff. Meals (including breakfasts) were excellent.
Can't think of anything to dislike.
Location and peaceful setting.Good breakfast and helpful staff. we will look forward to another visit.
Made to feel welcome and room very confortable. Even though the hotel was very tired and in need of an overhaul. The hotel is still very cosy.
Very tired hall ways in need of deperate redecoration. Carpets very worn and threadbare. Rooms in dire need of updating.
Excellent value for money. Very dated décor but that added to its charm. Big room and comfy bed. Clean sheets and bathroom. Will definitely visit again.
The food and service in the restaurant was excellent - our thanks to the chef and all.
No welcome on arrival or during stay. Room and bathroom in need of updating and stairs very dirty.
The views of the fields outside our window. We booked two superior rooms - one was spacious and very acceptable, the other was not.
A good many of the staff - particularly at breakfast - were unhelpful and surly. One morning my son asked if he could have an omelette and was told no.. Only poached, fried or scrambled eggs. We wondered why on earth an omelette was such a problem.
