The location of the hotel is fantastic and we had a family room which looked onto the deer park. My son was amazed at the donkeys which just wondered around outside the hotel and how close you could get to them. The staff were very friendly and it was very relaxing all around the hotel and the breakfast was very good. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Burley Manor and would go back again. The only fault with the hotel is the decor is a bit dated but sort of fits in with the style of the actual look of it and our room did have a few cobwebs on the windows and the ceiling which we mentioned on leaving as it didn't affect our stay.

Hotel is in a good location Far too expensive considering the poor condition of the buildings interior and the lack of basic hospitality skills shown by the staff.

We stay at Burley Manor because it is close to family who live nearby. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient. The location is lovely. The bar area is comfortable and cosy. The restaurant and bar food are quite good and fairly reasonable. The bedrooms need refurbishing as they look rather 'tired'. The bed linen was very well used and could do with being replaced. We were on the second floor this time and it's a long way up with heavy bags!

We found Burley Manor a very friendly hotel, the staff were very pleasant. The location was very good and it was in easy reach of Bournemouth, Boscombe etc. There is plenty to see and do and the village of Burley is very quaint. We would certainly stay at the Burley Manor again.

The location in the New Forest was very convienient. The peace and quiet of the Hotel. The staff all helpful and friendly. The room we had was brilliant as we had 2 dogs. The receptionist ensured we had a room with access straight into the lovely garden. The view of the deer in the morning in the field adjacent to the Hotel. The horse riding facilities on site. My wife enjoyed the horse riding and went twice.Brilliant if you've never ridden before, and also offer rides for the more experienced. Shower. No power and leaked. Needs updating. Saturday and Sunday a waiter went round serving Tea and Coffee for breakfast. During the week had a pot on your table. Tea was strong and cold. I asked for a pot of tea instead and he did get me one. The ugly wire fence on the approach to Burley Manor and all the signs saying Private no entry. Spoils the drive down to the Hotel but understand this is out of the Hotels hands.

It is located in a beautiful part of the New Forest, it has ample parking, and it is well positioned for exploring the area. The hotel sits in attractive grounds, and there were no noise problems during my visit. My room was adequate in size, and had satellite television and tea/coffee making facilities. I found the staff helpful and polite. I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions over the past thirty years, and have always found it a very pleasnat experience. Perhaps that is why I was so disappointed in this visit. The hotel has not been well maintained, and has an air of neglect about it. For example, the stair carpets are worn threadbare, and there was a large damp patch on the wall of my room, where the wallpaper was peeling away, and there was black mould growing. The restaurant was also disappointing, with a very limited menu, and strange combinations - fish and chips served with carrots, parsnips and broccoli?? Bizarre! Finally, they used to employ an excellent pianist to play at dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings - the reason I chose these nights to visit. Sadly, he is now only employed for Sunday luchtime. Very disenchanted, and I won't be staying there again.

It was perfect, because it wasn't. If you want an international standard hotel, with digital everything and trendy stuff forget it. If however, you want comfortable surroundings, friendly helpful staff and good food, in a relaxing atmosphere of faded luxury, this is the one for you. Add in a fabulous position in the New forest, a very good riing stables attached with great quality horses, and you have a proper country residence, for real people who just want to unwind. Lovely. Too many noisy overindulged kids with rude parents, but it was half term. The dining area should be split to allow miserable people like me to be quiet when I eat my meals...

The hotel was beautiful, staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms large and clean. Our room had a lovely view over the fields to the deer and the fab riding stables are literally one minutes walk away! The only thing I would say is that Burley is a beautiful village but there's not much there. We usually stay in the lake district which has more physical walks etc, but that said we found some pretty 15 mile walking routes and the wild Ponies roaming about made it for me! All in all a great place for older couples to relax or young children. The hotel welcomes guests with dogs whO all seemed to love running around with the children :-) I'd recommend this for a lovely comfortable and relaxing visit. We didn't realise that the village would be so small and quiet (doesn't detract from the hotel though).

We liked the location, surroundings the fact we were able to bring our dog. We had been to the Burley Manor before but did not experience the same atmosphere and service as on our previous visit. We were disappointed with the room fascilities. We were unable to watch the television as the picture quality was bad and the tea/coffee fascilities were sparce, especially as we had requested a superior room. We expected better quality from our previous visit as we only had a standard room then but, in fact, the room did not refect any better quality.

Location is very nice, good views out of the window. Very easy to find! Breakfast was alright, not the best but not the worse Ive had at a hotel. Rooms and inside the hotel in general is very dated, needs a refurb. Wouldnt stay there and pay full price.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the warmth/comfort throughout the hotel. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The new manager was very friendly and is a very good 'people person' who always had a smile and was happy to talk. The food was generally very good, as was the service and we hope to return next year.

The Location, This hotel is set in the heart of the new forest As I booked a premier room for The Burley Manor though booking.com, when we arrived they assigned us a disabled room and called it a premier room and was informed that dinner will not be serviced that night due to a disco that was being held and that it should only be noisy until 12 - 1 o’clock, this is not what we wanted as it was supposed to be a quite get away. The decoration was tired and would have suited someone of a more elderly age. We asked to change room and all they could provide was a twin room and was as equally bad, but this time the shower did not work. In the end we asked for a refund and the hotel staff where accommodating and we left and went home. This hotel is not worth the extortionate price for a night in my opinion. Very dispointed and unhappy as well because this was a suprise for my girl friends birthday.
