Bar was very good lively and modern. Location was excellent right on the front and near the pier and town centre Got a room with a side sea view which was great but room a bit small and shower in the bath. No lifts but not a major problem even though we were on the 3rd floor

The best thing about the Burlington has got to be the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff! We had a fab art deco double aspect room at the front of the hotel so the scenery was fantastic. Great friendly bar downstairs and despite the comments from others we were not disturbed on either night by the late night music!

All staff very helpful but very busy. Unfortunately, we could not get any room service as nobody answered the phone. The desk was unmaned due to staff trying to be in 2 places at one time! I would not expect this hotel to have a 4 star rating.

The staff were very keen to warn me about possible noise from the bar (on a Saturday night), and to provide ear plugs, but in fact - despite the lively time being had in the bar - the noise was virtually inaudible from my first-floor room. Good atmosphere and comfortable room. The bathroom was too narrow to allow much room for one using the basin.

Staff very helpful. Bar very atmospheric in the evening. Breakfast very good. Our room was fine but our friend had a single room with a very small bed, a tiny tv on the wall, which was held together with gaffer tape and a bathroom that needed upgrading.

The location for this guest house is very good. Situated directly across from the beach, the hotel cafe and breakfast room is a great way to sip coffee and pass the day away. My major complaint is that I paid £75 for a single room which was basic to say the least. I was looking forward to breakfast the next morning so that I could enjoy the nice view and instead was put in a separate "overflow" room where I was the only diner with no view.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Burington. The food was excellent and the room was lovely and clean and spacious. Being on the top floor and there being no lift. This let it down a bit as the trudge to and from our room was "breathtaking" for all the wrong reasons!

The staff in the restaurant were really polite and pleasant, as were the staff on the desk.. Very comfortable bed and the room was very clean. When paying for an executive double room you would expect a bath in the ensuite. The bathroom was tiny in comparison to the size of the bedroom and only had a very small shower cubicle which meant I was banging my elbows against the walls when washing my hair. Also I would expect a shower door rather than an old fashioned shower curtain. Lastly, even though the hotel does state that occasionally there might be noise if functions are held downstairs - I do find it disconcerting that I might have to use the earplugs they supply if I'm paying £80 for a supposed good nights sleep.

I've often visited the bar which is a beautiful room with a great sea view. I have friends who live nearby. The best thing I could say about the room was that it was big. Friendly waitress at breakfast. Room was poorly furnished. Shabby, bent blinds that had gaps so the light poured through and no curtains. A horrible view of scaffolding immediately outside. Tiny bath and I'm not tall but it was such a big bath room with nothing in it. The plug device was broken so a not very efficient plug put in place. Mean toiletries. I thought from my visits to the bar and having been to a party there that the hotel was supposed to be on the luxury side of things but was sorely disappointed. I've booked wonderful rooms with breakfast for the same price. I felt ripped off.

Location was ok. Facilities were ok. Rooms were bare and personality less! Breakfast was greasy and despite offering egg options we were told these weren't available because it was busy! One of the noisiest hotels I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. Had to go to reception to complain twice at 2.30am!

Great staff, food good and room ok, could do with a bit of modernising though. Would use again and recommend to others but advertising should mention that there is no lift to the bedroom floors as this would be a problem for the disabled. Only the lack of lifts

Excellent function room, bar area. Rooms felt quite basic, no plug or light over dressing table and two members of staff repeatedly saying how busy they are. Customers are not interested in this type of comment. However the bed was excellent.

I liked the choice of continental or full english breakfast. The room was fresh with all the essentials I needed. My stay was very comfortable and the location was great for where I needed to be. A 5 minute taxi ride to the station and I was provided a taxi number etc in the welcome pack provided by the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and I would recommend the hotel to friends and family.
