“ A very clean and well presented hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good. A very satisfactory experience in all. ”

Across from Worthing Beach, this refurbished seafront property with a Victorian style dates from 1865. Enjoy full English breakfasts, sea views and Italian food in bustling Gio's Bar and Restaurant. The Burlington overlooks the promenade and is about a 10 minute walk from the center of Worthing. Worthing Pier and Pavilion Theater are about a 5 minute walk away. Spacious rooms have high ceilings and tea/coffee facilities. Victorian features blend with a modern décor, and some rooms have a sea view. Each room has its own bathroom. Guests of The Burlington Hotel - Guest House have free entry to the adjacent nightclub, which opens from 10 pm to 3 am on Saturdays. Gio's Bar opens daily, and stays open until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays. Sometimes there is live entertainment on weeknights. On the coast This is not a 4 star hotel, more like 2, so I resent paying 4 star prices (£120). Pictures of the rooms on the internet certainly did not look anything like our room - we were staying in a sparsely decorated, bland room with delapidated budget furniture. The shower was one temperature - neither hot nor cold nor changeable. This is fine if the cost is £60 or £70, not £120. Breakfast also took 50 minutes to arrive, with a fellow guest having to place their order 4 times! A Travel lodge would have been better.

Comfortable big room. Good selection of Toiletries. Friendly receprionist and breakfast staff. great location One of the bar staff needs to go on a customer care course. Lesson 1- smile lesson 2- engage lesson 3 - customers are not a nuisance lesson 4. customers do not want warm lager from a fridge!

Nice large and bright room in an excellent location with good views of the sea. Excellent chinese restaraunt next door and easy walk to the pier. Quieter than Brighton so only a handful of people on the beach (opposite the hotel) despite glorious weather. Also far cheaper to park than Brighton (£3 as opposed to £18 per day). En suite was functional rather than posh and shower was a little small - but worked well.

The staff were very helpful and took good care of us. The seafront location was great and the parking was better than expected. We did struggle to find a hot meal mid afternoon in the very immediate area which we did not expect on a bank holiday weekend.

• the room was spacious with high ceillings, • hot chocolate, coffee and tea making facility were provided • Cleanliness and general maintenance could improve • If I pay £130 a night, I would expect better quality toiletries and not a flimsy 1-use plastic cup to brush my teeth

Location is good. Staff friendly and helpful. Stay was enjoyable. No lift?? How does the Burlington meet disabled access legislation? The building generally is in need of updating. Single glassed windows are noisy and drafty - heat loss must be considerable.

Location, cleanliness, breakfast Noisy party-goers leaving after midnight on Saturday, letting people in the dining room for breakfast Sunday morning in a vest!

Clean, spacious room with clean bathroom including a bath. Excellent shower. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Close to beach and town centre. Major construction site next door to last until 2014. Mattress had broken springs so needs changing.

It was on the sea front I'm afraid was very disappointed - felt very over priced - cheap furniture and fittings - poor quality all round Staff didnt seem to be bothered if we were there or not Couldnt even be bothered to look me in the eye when saying hope you enjoyed your stay when we left! Far better value in a Premiere Inn!!! Definately not worth the extra money to stay here :(

The small touches that showed attention to detail Some areas could be painted or cleaned just starting to show signs of wear such as red carpet on the stairs could be cleaned other than that lovely throughout

I arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check in time and fair play to them, my room was ready and they let me check in straight away. The decor was bright and in keeping with the hotel. The bed i slept in was enormous. Breakfast was spot on the money. I would stay there again. The large key ring to defer taking your key with you when going out. The room key itself goes in which ever way you put it in thwe slot but will only turn if put in the right way to begin with, as you can guess every time i put my key in the door i had to take it back out again and reinsert it the right way round. If anything all the hotel needs is to upgrade maybe to card keys. My only other griope which is trivial really is that i did request a smoking room and didnt get 1. As its my money and i am the paying guest the hotel should inform me if they cant give me what i want and am paying for to then give me the choice of wether i want to take my business elsewhere or not. As it happened i am glad i stayed. It was only a small inconvenience.
