With free parking, a restaurant and bar, this peaceful Edwardian hotel is beside the sea. You can smell the fresh, salty air even on a calm day.

Staff very friendly and helpful
Bed was too soft and not enough tables at breakfast time.Breakfast could have included more variety of fresh fruit and cereals. But overall pleasant stay.
The large room, the cleanliness and the friendly staff
Shower was not good
the seafront location
My room was at the back of the hotel above the Chinese restaurant which meant it stunk of the kitchens. It badly needs a refurb and doesn't feature on the web photos. This is absolutely not a "boutique hotel", but a Worthing guest house.
My wife suffers from a chronic condition and there was a large throw on the bottom of the bed which i folded and placed outside the door. Next day they contacted me by e mail to say that they are taking 30 pound from my card. There was no bath and i was charged 10 pound extra for leaving at 11am. The food was very poor. All meat was made from same type. Horrible. I had to eat at local shop. Avoid at all costs. Staff on counter are pushy. Bar staff are fine. You will regret if you stay. We have a party of 24 staying in worthing and we are booking somewhere else now.
The bed was uncomfortable.
I've been using this hotel for 20 years - always because of its location. Now, I think, it's at the top of its game with some delightful staff who always welcome us back with a big smile. I never used to eat in but I do now because the Burlington has got a chef it can be proud of.
Location. Some staff were very helpful.
Noise from functions up to midnight. Lack of restaurant dining. Only restaurant style meals in noisy, busy bar which was small for the size of hotel.
Staff were friendly. Decent location - 5 minute walk to pier/centre
My Executive single room, overlooking a building site, smelt very strongly of fried food, as did the corridor.
The concern expressed by the staff regarding the plumbing problem.
No hot water in the bath or shower and no service engineer available to correct the problem. Everyone can have this problem from time to time and its how that its dealt with that matters - a poor show.
There was a problem with the water so couldn't have a shower
No smoking facilities
Food was really good.
Room was brilliant and staff very friendly.
No hot water in the morning to enable a shower but overall a good stay.
The breakfast was very good
Quality of the shower, decor of the room
The location was excellent.
The breakfast was poor, cooked breakfast was cold, dinner-bread was not fresh, on arrival we had pizza which was too salty, The payment method was confusing.
Food..bar... View... Quick check in and check out
Wifi very slow.. The room was hot( thinking from the towel dryier in the bathroom)
Staff very friendly and bar open late. Well stocked room with TV, hair dryer, toothbrush, shaving kit which was handy !
Cover on extractor fan in bathroom flapped all night along with how hot it was in the room made for a sleepless night. Shower went cold with no warning very so often
Decor, fixtures and fittings Lovely fresh cooked breakfast Lively bar Excellent seafront location Large, stylish bedroom
Bed was a bit small
Great location 15-20 minute walk from train station. Right on the sea front. Good sized room. Nice bar area. Next door to great Chinese restaurant.
Reception service a little slo but not a problem.
paid extra £20 for extra 2 hour
We stayed in a family room which was enormous. Had we been staying for longer than a weekend, this would have been splendid. We had a view of the sea and the breakfast was very good. We were getting married in Worthing during our stay and they delivered a card to us in our room which was a lovely touch.
The bed felt like a water bed. Every time me or my husband moved, the other was bounced up and down. We had two terrible nights sleep. The shower changed from hot to cold without warning or action from us. Not so bad for adults but not ideal for a child. The water in the bath took about 15 minutes to drain meaning that in the mornings, the second person showering had to stand in the first person's scummy water. The staff were mixed. In general those on reception were very good, but one of the waiting staff initially refused to serve us breakfast because it was gone 10 o'clock, not taking account of the fact we'd been sat there for 20 minutes waiting to be served. It was all quickly resolved but it was just a serious of niggles.
very friendly staff comfortable rooms great breakfast good location what more can i say will stay again
Room was very nice. Bar area very comfortable.
Our shower was not that great.
Lots of attention to detail. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Spotlessly clean. Great location on the sea front. And an amazing price. There is nothing not to like here.
