paid extra £20 for extra 2 hour
We stayed in a family room which was enormous. Had we been staying for longer than a weekend, this would have been splendid. We had a view of the sea and the breakfast was very good. We were getting married in Worthing during our stay and they delivered a card to us in our room which was a lovely touch.
The bed felt like a water bed. Every time me or my husband moved, the other was bounced up and down. We had two terrible nights sleep. The shower changed from hot to cold without warning or action from us. Not so bad for adults but not ideal for a child. The water in the bath took about 15 minutes to drain meaning that in the mornings, the second person showering had to stand in the first person's scummy water. The staff were mixed. In general those on reception were very good, but one of the waiting staff initially refused to serve us breakfast because it was gone 10 o'clock, not taking account of the fact we'd been sat there for 20 minutes waiting to be served. It was all quickly resolved but it was just a serious of niggles.
very friendly staff comfortable rooms great breakfast good location what more can i say will stay again
Room was very nice. Bar area very comfortable.
Our shower was not that great.
Lots of attention to detail. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Spotlessly clean. Great location on the sea front. And an amazing price. There is nothing not to like here.
Top floor no lift
Being by the sea
rooms were nicely decorated and hotel nice and clean
lift was not working and they put us on 2nd floor as our son and daughter who both had a baby with them so had to carry prams up the stairs and staff didn't offer to help also son went to go out at night o get medicine for baby and was told door locked and he couldn't go out told manager in morning who did apolagised shower in room very small and rooms far to hot
Really good stay with amazing staff!
Food really good Location great
Rooms a little tired Shame no dedicated restaurant.
Excellent location - Seafront, Ease of parking at weekend, Beautiful building let down by decoration, Nice enough breakfast room/bar
Decoration to stairway landing reception was shabby/tierd. Room was large and beautiful original features let down by cheap decoration/furniture. Had lovely view at front of building with balcony that had no access to, as windows only opened at ground level to knee high and WINDOWS SO DIRTY YOU COULDN'T SEE OUT! so view was completely spoilt. This room was expensive for what is was.
The room had a contemporary decor with a cosy feel, the complementary water and beverages were a real treat, and the little things such as toothbrushes and shaving kits in the bathroom added a more prepared and a more personal feel between the the customer and hotel, catering to even the most basic of needs. The bed was comfortable and provided an excellent night sleep, all other facilities such as a tv, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and an extra plug in heater were easy to find and Stowed away nicely already in the room.
poor wi fi reception
Large clean room and good breakfast
Slight noise from the road when the window was open
The staff, food, location
I had a pokey little single room, which was not the best, but I do think they have nicer rooms if you want to pay more
The staff were polite and friendly. Loved the hotel in the sense that its old. Built in the 1850s with modern furnishing but still some of the old.
Our family room was above where a 40th party was going on. It was that loud it could of been in our room. Went on til midnight. We had to be up at 6.30am as our son was dancing to retain his GB title. My daughter was crying because she couldn't get to sleep. Next day i had 2 very tired children. Really don't understand why u would have family room above disco.
Homemade fresh bread and Jam Really nice view from the breakfast room
The lift not working
Large room with side sea views. Great location on seafront
Very undercooked fried egg for breakfast. Shower curtain smelt very musty
The room was really great with magnificent views.
We arrived tired and thirsty and found only one milk. We requested further supplies but none arrived
Wonderful family room, lots of space for 4 people. Huge queen size bed. Very clean room, sheets, towels.
Above the entrance door there is a lot of dust which you see when coming down the stairs, this gives a poor impression, on an otherwise very clean hotel.
Large room with side sea view.
Had to wait for a table at breakfast.
From the first point of contact with The Burlington Hotel when they called to clarify our room details, to the moment they wished us well on our journey home, our experience was fantastic. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and this one compared to the very best. The staff could not be more helpful, pre warning us that there may be some noise because we were on the first floor but we slept soundly on both nights. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were well stocked with everything from hot chocolate and bottled water to toothbrushes and gorgeous body cream. We highly recommend the food in Gio's bar. The steak was delicious and so beautifully presented and when my husband asked for English mustard a porter was sent to get some! The service provided by all the staff was amazing but Piotr in the bar was truly outstanding. The reception staff were also incredibly attentive as was the housekeeping lady. My birthday and wedding anniversary were made very special and there was even a card waiting for me on the dinner table. We very much look forward to visiting again!
We were able to use the stairs easily and the porter helped us with our bags but the lack of a lift may be a problem for some. We couldn't eat in the restaurant due to functions on both nights but we were well accommodated in the lovely bar with sea views. A walk-in shower would be preferable to an over bath shower.
Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Bar/restaurant staff attentive and friendly. Beautiful small hotel with a personal feel. Cosy rooms. Excellent breakfast choice.
Lift not working. Lots of stairs, very difficult for older members of group.
Location was fantastic Breakfast was really nice Staff super friendly When I had a problem with the room after the first night, they moved me instantly Great sea views Dinner was lovely Very comfortable beds
First room located close to kitchen I suppose, hence food smell in my room Windows very dated, unfortunately had 4 very stormy nights which made sleeping due to the window rattling very difficult
