The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Lovely breakfast.
Trying to get access because of the metro works - but that wasn't the hotels fault!
very comfortable bed and central location.
Room was very small and he bathroom was very smelly!
Staff were lovely and breakfast was great.
The room was freezing. We tried adjusting the temperature control, but it was still very cold! Also very noisy!
Beautiful place and room
Noisy from people using the station
Good food very comfy bed & a very good shower best hotel stayed in 4 a while.
Wobbly tables in restaurant.
location was superb, room was clean and inviting, staff exceptional.
would liked to have stayed longer!
We loved the gorgeous breckfast such a lovely choice to choose from
The view from our window was very poor (unless you like pipes)
Location Helpful staff
Central location yet quiet bedroom.
Room overlooked air conditioning plant with ducting, ladders, sheeting, etc. However this was not noisy.
Location was good, and staff were lovely .
No safety catch on windows
Being told that we would have a 45 min wait for a table in a not very busy restaurant. we did not wait.
The hotel met my expectations. The olives and nuts with the bar drinks were very good.
The bread in the mornings was stale. I suspect it was part cooked bread which is then cooked in the oven and it goes stale very quickly. One morning it had not been properly defrosted and then cooked so was really grim. The rest of the breakfast was very good.
The location right next to new street station was ideal for us as we only had from 6pm to 7am in the city so no wasted time looking for the hotel
When we checked in we were given the wrong room cards so I had to go back down for new key, but this was fixed quickly
breakfast was nice
small rooms no fridge in the room, no ice in the room, no sky sport
Very large bathroom - first class breakfast
Great staff and excellent value for money.
Irritating noise throughout the night caused by either the water or hot water systems which disturbed my sleep.
Comfortable bed. Well equipped bathroom. Very clean. Iron and ironing board very useful. Very nice breakfast.
Water not hot enough. A magnifying mirror would have been very useful.
A splendidly renovated Victorian city centre hotel, ideally situated in the centre and adjacent to New Street railway station. (It is the former Midland Hotel). The room was huge, but very well furnished and comfortable, with a huge bathroom. The public areas are very well appointed, and the staff are friendly.
Reception failed to note our request for a newspaper for the following morning. Although very apologetic, they were unable to supply us with one even at the desk. Although it is not the hotel's fault, there was a great deal of rowdy noise from the street in the night and early morning. Our room, although lovely, was at the front overlooking the Arcade and New Street.
we booked in on friday evening and was greeted by ryan on the desk he upgraded us and was very helpful pleasant and made us feel really special fantastic service well done
Very friendly helpful and knowledgable staff .
The hotel was extremely difficult to find by car due to road works and we had no prior knowledge of this . Not enough staff to handle the customers . Very noisy room with loud street music until 1.00 am sat morn.
When we complained about our allocated room and asked for a change the staff member at the desk was very helpful and allocated us a much better room. The dining room was large, yet comfortable, and we enjoyed two very good breakfasts.
The layout of the hotel and the peacefulness
Everything: Staff - wonderful Rooms - beautiful Food - delicious
the staff where very accomodating
my first room had wires falling out of the wall and was very dated the sausages on my breakfast where not cooked and on my second day i could not get the bath to turn off.
