I stayed at the hotel in order to attend a business meeting early the next morning. I had not appreciated that in order to get to the hotel I had to go through the Pallisades shoppinng mall. On arrival I was not asked if I needed help with my luggage, although the lady who checked in before me was asked. I ordered room service meal for supper. I had asked for my steak to be rare/medium. Approx. 1/3 was medium rare, the rest was medium/well. I was tired and it was late, so I did not complain. Only when I got into bed did I discover the mattress was on a slope. I put this down to it not having been turned. It was impossible to lie flat. If I lay on my left side, I faced uphill. And vice versar. There was a noisy extractor fan directly beneath the window. I estimate I had about 2 hours sleep. There is more but no more room. |

Our stay was excellent. The staff on the reception were welcoming and helpful. The hotel was quiet and perfectly placed, tucked away from the busy main drag. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will continue to book again and again. |

Location and look of hotel. Staff were friendly. There was loose tiles on the floor in the bathroom that were sharp and dangerous. Also the bath was dirty and it room was cold and noisy. When we arrived we were told we didn't have a room and they managed to find us one which clearly wasn't ready for us. |

Quiet, convenient, well-appointed. Personal attention of staff at check in was good. The Berlioz Bar was particularly chilly and unexciting - it was also empty at 8.00 pm - which is perhaps a comment in itself. |

The service was very good as was the location. Right in the heart of the city with access to all amenities. A decent bar and restaurant within the hotel. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment which wasn't mentioned at the time of booking and our room was in need of some serious TLC, but I can imagine once the work is over, the hotel will be second to none. |

We enjoyed our stay at the MacDonald Burlington very much. The room was lovely and everything was very clean. It was very central and good for shopping, and the train station. The MacDonald Burlington is not a new hotel (with reinforced concrete floors). The flooring in our room was wooden floorboards (underneath the carpet). These sqeaked abit (from old age) as we walked around the room. The shower-regulator needed a very delicate touch to get the water temp just right (or horribly wrong!) The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever been in - wonderful. |

Excellent location, very close to the station and the shopping areas. Nicely furnished, pleasant staff. They charge a surcharge if paying by credit card. Meant I couldn't justify using the card I normally use for any expenses I claim back. |

Comfortable bed, nice room. Bit overpriced thou considering breakfast is. Not included. The bath was dirty, the glasses were used and half eaten food was left in the room. It was a double room for two people, but there was only one of everything; one robe, one set of slippers etc. The reception staff weren't that helpful, seemed too busy. We were going to order room service food, but were put off by lack of hygiene in the room. |

Perfect venue for my city centre stay...set in the centre of all the best shop and with quality bars and restaurants only a few steps away...hotel clean comfortable and worth every penny...will definately go back. Not enough staff on check out next morning ,however the receptionist that was on duty was absolutely lovely and very effiecient...a really small quibble. |
