Owner David and facilities were perfect
Close to Bath Friendly host Quiet location conducive to sleep
Shower was 2 floors down from bedrooms Rather cluttered house Dog allowed on sofa (and me!)
great host, great breakfast, great service..
all a bit dated
No fuss No frilly bits Good quality, firm bed A healthy alternative to a cooked breakfast Breakfast early enough to get to work on time Convenient - even a good bus service Parking
Shower downstairs (but it wasn't a problem) Nothing else.
The bed was comfy. The owner was friendly.
No TV no mirror. Bathroom wasn't clean and shower down two sets of stairs ? Black out curtains would be good. Hairdryers in rooms needed.
Very nice and helpful host
We stayed here for one night, to visit Bath. David and his buddy were very welcoming to us, as we arrived he offered us a cup of the and we had a little chat. The room was clean, the bed comfortable; the general feeling was to be guests at his own place, which is a thing one may or may not like but it's a nice experience to have if you're the kind of traveller that prefers to learn something about the local lifestyle. He personally cooked us our breakfast and was so nice to print for us some infos about what to see in Cardiff, which was our next stop! It happened that we left the cottage forgetting to give back the keys, and we realized that only in Cardiff! So we called David and sent him the keys via mail. The UK Royal Mail is, like, miles better than the Italian Posts, because he got his keys 2 days later.
As I said, the fact that it's really like being guests in his house may be awkward to some. Not really a negative thing, more like a note: I love dogs and animals in general (and this one in particular was very happy to see us), but maybe if you don't or you're simply afraid of dogs, I guess you should let him know before you arrive :) The dog is really cute and tiny, anyway.
Host David very kind and interesting. Bus to Bath around corner.
Street parking not good. Only cold breakfast offered (although good)
Like living in your own home. very comfortable.
Breakfast may need to have "more staffs", too simple.
our host Chizzy the dog, who clearly liked my girlfriend too!
Chizzy the dog, who my girlfriend probably liked more than me!
I enjoyed the social time with David; my mother owned an original Jowett Javelin ..
The host, David is very very nice. He gave us suggestions to the city centre, drive us freely from the middle road to his cottage. In the night, my son got a light fever, he accomanied me to buy some medicne.....
very friendly and helpful would stay again
The owner was a delight to deal with. The house is friendly and unimposing and the location was ideal for our wedding in Priston Mill.
We couldn't take Chizzy the wooly dog with us! He was awesome
David was friendly and welcoming. We had the use of downstairs lounge.
Room was rather small.
The fresh flower in the room, really good English tea, super nice hoster and the map which he draw for us... More than one reason u stay here but most is super cheap in bath!!!
David is the epitamy of a perfect host, extremely kind and helpful and respectful of your privacy. He has a lovely garden where you can relax in peace and quiet. Location is an easy 10 minute busride from the city centre and the village is charming. Dacpvid also serves a great breakfast with fres mixed fruit. I stayed 5 days and plan to return next month !
