Staff were helpful and efficient, hotel setting is nice Not all but some of the food was not very good and overpriced, and not just this hotel but most hotels in the uk are ripping off customers with the prices they charge for drinks

reception staff were excellent, room was comfortable and good value for money. No mobile phone signal in the area at all so not good for business use. There was no atmosphere in the hotel and (without wanting to be to negative) it felt like a convalescant home for the elderly, and miles from anywhere.

The food in the restaurant was excellent The room was very poor, paid for an "executive king" and in my opinion the room wasn't much better than a travel-lodge. Beds were pushed together to make one bed, the room had stains everywhere. And for 70 pound a night this was not acceptable.

The facilities were excellent...we attended a family wedding and everything went very well. I felt we were stressed out at breakfast time having to continually tell the staff which room we were in and we would pay for our breakfast on leaving the hotel. We felt very stressed out by this and it did spoil our breakfast

Nothing like the website ! Hotel looks like a modern prison and we had the bonus of no sleep due to the Jeremy Kyle type wedding which was being held. That was was after having my car damaged due to combination of pot-holed driveway and speed ramp !

Helpfull staff As with all hotels that I have stayed in that serve a buffet breakfast the food is not hot enough and the fried egg yolks are solid. That said there was a good selection both 'hot' and cold.

The up grade was nice as was the wine and chocolate in room for Christmas Boxing Day when we arrived. We will recomend this hotel. We have stayed at many Tulip Inns in Holland and always found them very good. Please buy The Lion Hotel in Shrewsbury which is up for sale. Thank You for a pleasent stay.

Hotel complex situated in lovely surroundings, close to sporting facilities, staff very courteous and helpful.Would not hesitate to recommend it.Food to a high standard. The change of name to the Tulip Inn on the new signage, this caused us some confusion as we had not visited before and were unaware of the change in the name,

We enjoyed an excellent three course meal on the Saturday evening which was very good value for money. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. The bar area was nicely decorated and again staff pleasant. Room was clean with a nice outside view. The only downside to our stay was wedding guests knocking on doors and standing in the corridor outside our room talking at 2.30 a.m. through to 4 a.m. in the morning. Banging and squeeking doors did not help either. Not a lot of sleep that night!
