No fridge or mini bar. The rooms were warm, really could have done with air conditioning as window only opened a small amount

Setting was very nice, staff were very accommodating.

Staff couldn't do enough to help us and ensured we had a comfortable stay. Only downsides to this hotel are location but it only costs about £25 for a taxi and the fact the breakfast is poor in quality.

Grounds, close enough to park & ride

Limited choice for bar meals,no room air conditioning. Reception staff member who checked us in told us we couldn't check in until 2 pm even though it was 1.40 pm and she didn't even check to see if the room was available.thought this was very uncourteous since we had been travelling for around 3 to 4 hours.

The country location and the older part of the building were lovely and had a great feel, the staff were friendly and helpful.

The rooms were not very soundproof, we could hear other rooms quite clearly, and the noise from rooms as you walked down the corridors was very loud.

Comfortable bed. Clean, but badly ironed duvet cover. Location is very good, grounds are pretty, but need TLC from gardener

2 fire alarms in 2 days (showers set off alarms!) Food very poor, boil-in-bag type choices. Wrong room allocated on arrival, but sorted out by moving someone else! Having to search for service at bar and breakfast

We were visiting Yorkshire on our bikes to see the Tour de France and so the location was perfect as we had good access to York and Harrogate. The hotel was easy to find and the reception staff were very welcoming.

The older part of the hotel. The food .the bar area.

The 1970s style building which were the bedrooms. Our view from bedroom.the fitness facilities were out of action.

The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful and arranged a taxi for us to get into York (during the tour de france as well) and the two security men (I think they were security) were very friendly and talkative and they all made us feel very welcome and I would definately choose Burn Hall if I was in the area again.

The hotel was perfect but I was surprised that no local buses went right past the hotel because that would be very useful, but this is nothing to do with the hotel so its something that the council should maybe look into?

Availability of real ale good bar food and TV coverage of Wimbledon.

Failure of TV and some lights in room 114 and the safety rail coming off the wall in the bathroom when hardly touched!

The location was good, the hotel was clean & the staff were friendly & polite.

We stayed in the new part of the hotel, not the older part of the building. The new part was noisy, we could hear everything around us, including when someone in the rooms upstairs used the toilet. We were woken at 3am to the noise of people returning from a night out. The bedrooms were tiny yet the bathrooms were quite large. We felt very 'hemmed in'. I don't think the rooms were value for money. The beds were relatively comfortable but the pillows were paper thin. The breakfast room was noisy & the choice of music that was playing in the breakfast room was inappropriate for the time of day - not ideal for a relaxed start to the day, and slightly incongruous for the 'country' setting of the hotel.

    Location excellent.

Promissed so much when viewed online, in reality very small double room poorly decorated. In a word dull and dismal. Bathroom adequate, altough not to have power showers in this day and age seems penny pinching. Had I wanted a mixer tap shower would have gone to one pf the many BB's still languishing in the 20th century. Compared to Premier Inn this was non league football. I shall not be staying with this group again.

Nice looking hotel in a good, quiet country location. The room was comfortable and the free and easily accessible Wi-Fi was a definite bonus.

Some staff were helpful, especially in the bar serving up a good bar meal, but some staff were less than helpful - especially at breakfast, which was not very well presented.

They do fix the sink in 40 minutes

This is the first stop in our trip, lucky we only planed one night here. Firstly, on our booking, we required two rooms and one room with an extra bed, as we have 3 adults and 2 children. On our arrival they gave us two rooms with out extra bed. Then this is the conversation: I: Hi, I booked two room, and one room should have an extra bed (then I show her the E-mail of booking) Reception lady: No, this is what we have (she show me a paper with different price and different room details) I: Could you double check it for us, as we have two children, or could you add an extra bed for us? Reception lady (did not even think or try anything): No, we can't Then I knew there is no point to talk to this type of person, I haven't tried but I believe the pigs in the farm next to the hotel is more polite than her. I called and confirmed this is the mistake made by the hotel, and were surprised that a three star hotel could not provide an extra bed. And they told the hotel will call me back in 30 mins to arrange me to another location. After 40 minutes waiting in our car, we still did not hear anything from them, and we have been on the road for 5 hours, so we decided give up, we called to stop them looking for a new location. THE ROOM!!! - DO NOT MISS THIS!!! We choose this hotel because it is near country side with good air. I am not just giving a bad review for extra bed,The sink is broken, the water would not Flow down (they send someone after 40 mins and fixed it) so it is OK, and the toilet sit moves around (did not bother to call fix) But the rooms smell terrible. Then we realize it is the smell from outside, it smells like a bull's feces, not swearing, it is real bull S smelling all over the hotel - you have two choice - open the windows sleep with bull S air OR close the windows like put yourself in a brick box.
